Your group’s next destination… A city rich in historical beauty… A small community feel in the
midst of one of the largest counties in Tennessee… That is what will be found in Greeneville,
Tennessee, the home of the seventeenth president of the United States, Andrew Johnson, and
the birthplace of celebrated hero, Davy Crockett.
Bring your group to Tennessee’s second oldest town and see
why we boast of our rich historical past and our breathtaking
mountain views. Groups can tour Andrew Johnson’s early
home and homestead, wander through the many exhibits in
his museum and be thrilled by his ghost walking through the
tailor shop where he worked and where many spirited debates
occurred. Visit Monument Hill where Andrew Johnson and
several members of his family are laid to rest. Also visit Davy
Crockett Birthplace State Park with its replica of the cabin
in which Crockett was born. Encased in front of the cabin
is an engraved marker reported to have been the footstone
of the original cabin. The park also includes the Visitor’s
Center and Museum, campsites, swimming pool and three
scenic picnic areas.
