The Epson Surelab D3000 is a new technology “DryLab” printer developed on Epson’s tried and true
Ultrachrome inkjet printing platform. These prints exhibit unparalleled colour gamut and clarity compared to
traditional silver halide based lab prints. The ink set used is Ultrachrome D6, producing a archival quality print
rated to 75 years, with no gloss differential. Our standard print surface is lustre although gloss is available for an
additional fee.Traditional and 35mm photo sizes are available as well as panoramas up to 12x48” (30.5x122cm).
Prints can be exact size*, borderless or have a small 3mm border. Borderless prints will auto expand by about
3% so image details near the edge of the frame will be trimmed off. Please allow for this in your cropping. A
matte paper is also available in an A4 & 12” rolls. We can deliver prints in A3, A4, A5 and DL sizes on the matte
surface, ideal for mail outs or invitations.
This process is low cost, high quality and high volume, capable of up to 650 6x4” prints per hour, ideal for
wedding, portrait and school photography markets.
Colour Correction:Prints will, by default, be printed without any colour correction or sharpening added. If
you wish us to correct your files, an additional charge will be incurred.

Image Requirements
The Epson Surelab D3000 accepts JPEG and Tiff files. Please submit your files at the exact size you wish them
to be printed. Specifications are as follows:

By default, no colour correction or sharpening will be applied to your images. Please specify if you need this
service. An extra charge will be incurred.
Please separate your images into folders based on image size and surface. For example, if you have 10 8x12”
lustre images and 40 6x4” gloss images to print, create a folder called 8x12” Lustre and a folder called 6x4”
Gloss. This will allow us to process your order much more efficiently.
If you require multiple copies of certain images, up to 5, please include multiple copies of the file. If you
require more than 5 copies, please provide clear written instructions with file name, size and copies
required
Please specify if you wish for a small border to be printed on your image or if you want the image borderless.
If the image is true borderless, you will lose approx 3-5% of the outside of the image in trimming.

ICC Imagetec provides a custom large format printing service idealy suited to the photographer or artist. We
are able to print any custom size on our wide format machines and do so on the finest media. Prints are made
on a 17” (432mm) or a 44” (1117mm) pigment inkjet printer. We print on a wide variety of paper stocks from
the finest manufacturers in the world. Pricing for this service is divided into sections.

Sheet prints are produced on our Epson 4900 or the Epson 9900. Both use the
Ultrachrome HDR ink set for high saturation, clean neutrals and long print life. The
printer is not borderless and requires margins of 3mm top, left and right and 18mm
on the bottom. (see diagram at right). The best way to ensure you get exactly the
position on the page you want is to set up a canvas size of the sheet size bein used.
For example if you are printing on A4, create an A4 canvas in Photoshop, setup guides
define the area shown at right and place your image within that space. Be aware that
if you want your image centred on the page you will need to set margins of 18mm at
top and bottom.

Artists cards are a way of producing gift cards in short runs.They are economical up to about 200 after which
offset printing is the best option. These cards are 100% cotton rag from Museo, the company that makes
Portfolio Rag, one of our premium printing papers.They are 250gsm, are pre scored and come with envelopes
making them ready to post. We currently have 4 sizes of cards we can use.

Prints are charged per 5in (127mm) length increments. Price will be rounded up or down to the nearest
increment if image size does not meet one of the sizes shown.
Papers are divided into two classes: Premium Range and Mid Range.
Custom Size Premium Range Print Prices
The Premium Range prints use the top end of inkjet printing papers available today from the leading
manufacturers in the field.They are all 300gsm or above in weight, most are 100% cotton base and all are
graded as museum quality. You can expect a print life of between 75-150 years depending on if the image is
colour or B&W.

Our mid range prints are on lighter weight stocks, still from the finest manufacturers or surfaces designed
for specific display or proofing purposes. All these materials are printed on our pigment based machines for
long print life.
The Rag Photographique 210 and the William turner 190 are 100% cotton rage papers for those who still
want a rag paper at a lower cost.

Fixed Size Canvas Prints
Our canvas prints are made on an optically brightener free material using archival pigment inks that meet
museum quality standards. All our prints are finished with a liquid laminate to ensure that the exposed canvas
is protected from moisture, fingerprints and atmospheric contaminants such as aerosols. Canvas is available as
print only or stretched onto a stretcher bar and taped on the rear, ready to hang. Two options are available,
standard 19mm or a deeper 33mm which will stand off the wall further and give the piece more presence.
A 40mm bar is also available on request. Images must be formatted to the final sizes below to be eligible for
these prices. Any additional formatting will be charged at the standard retouching rate of $100 p/h.

Fixed Size Clear Face Mounts
Clear Face Mount is Artposter Imagetec’s process of face mounted acrylic panels.The image is printed on high
gloss or metallic gloss paper and mounted onto the rear of a 6mm acrylic sheet. A styrene backing protects
the print and the effect is finished off with an external frame to float the piece off the wall. The 6mm Acrylic
price below includes the cost of the print.

Frames are 30mm on the front face, 19mm deep. Window mattes can be black or white and will clip onto
the image by about 4mm. Prints are mounted to an MDF backboard for stability and security and the
frames are sealed on the back and finished with a wire hanger ready to hang on the wall.

AI Ready Made Frames
Artposter Imagetec can provide you with a ready made black frame complete with two mattes ready for you
to drop a print in. The frames come in A4 and A3 sizes with an MDF back and acrylic front face.
These frames are ideal as part of a package for portrait or wedding clients or for a quick gift. The mattes are
designed for 5x7.5” and 6x9” in the A4 frames. The A3 frames have mattes to suit 10x6.7” and 8x12”

Mounting
We are able to mount to a range of substrates. 3 of our most common are listed here. Foamcore can be 5mm
or 10mm thick in black or white. Marbond is a 3mm thick polycarbonate with a 0.2mm aluminium skin. This
makes it very stiff and very light. Is suitable for mounting display panels or as a backing for scrylic or large
framed pieces. Please note that any piece mounted to these substrates and not finished with a frame of any
kind has a vulnerable edge. We can take no responsibility for the edges of these pieces once they leave our
premises.

Art Reproduction
Artposter Imagetec provides a comprehensive art reproduction service.We have many clients who have their
original pieces digitised before they are sold. From the digital file we are able to create reproductions on paper
or canvas in a range of sizes. An original can be reproduced as a set of A4, A3, A2 or A1 images that can then
be printed on demand providing an ongoing income stream for the artist.
We keep the reproduction files in our digital archive so that reprints can be ordered via phone or email and
posted directly to the customer. Prints can also be custom framed or framed to one of our set sizes
Artwork is digitised under controlled lighting conditions for accurate colour reproduction. Digitisation is
done using either a 36MP digital SLR or an 80MP medium format digital camera back depending on size and
resolution required. Files can be supplied on DVD or written to a hard disk drive provided by the client. Hi
resolution Tiff files and a web sized JPEG will be provided on request. The artist owns the digital files and is at
liberty to take them wherever they wish for reproduction. We do not lock you in to our service.
Art Reproduction Costs
Art Reproduction Rate $100 per hour
Art reproduction is charged at an hourly rate. Typically one piece of work takes approximately one hour for
a large size piece (500-1000mm wide) Some of this charge is initial setup. Subsequent pieces photographed
at the same time will take less time so the effective price per piece will come down. It is therefore more
economical to reproduce a batch of work than one piece at a time.

Film & Flatbed Scanning
Artposter Imagetec can scan your film originals for reproduction or archiving. Colour negative, B&W negative,
colour transparency and prints can all be scanned to high resolution. These scans can be delivered as raw
untouched scans or, for an additional fee, they can be cleaned and retouched.
Retouching is charged at our standard retouching rate of $100 p/hour.

machines on the selected media for your project.

Offset Printing Proofing
Offset printing is the process of using a printing press to create books or brochures in high volume, low
cost projects. The Australian printing industry is moving towards an ISO standard for offset printing allowing
creatives to predict the colour changes that will occur as they change their images from wide gamut RGB data
to the much smaller gamut CMYK space of an offset press. Our printing system has been set up to simulate
the Australian ISO 12647-2:2008 standard. The paper stock is Canson Proofing Paper with the following
characteristics:
• FOGRA certification for Offset PT1/PT2/PT3, Flexo, Gravure S1/S2/S3/S4
• Paper white point 95, 0 -2 optimised for FOGRA39
• Controlled white point accuracy less than Delta E 1.0
• Free from Optical Brightener
• 200 g/m2
• Semi matte finish
• Dries instantly
