Coach “Moe” brings a wealth of basketball knowledge and
experience and is ready to help the girls & boys of Staten Island
reach their maximum potential.
Whether you are just starting out or trying to make your
high school team, these camp sessions provide a hardworking and fun environment for the players to better their
basketball skills.
During camp, the players will be working on all facets of
basketball skill training, including: passing, dribbling,
shooting, defense, agility, strength and conditioning as well
as the development of team concepts

Coach “Moe” spent 17 years as the Head Coach at her alma
mater, Notre Dame Academy, where she led the Gators to 236 wins
while helping guide 17 of her players to college scholarships and an
impressive 75 percent of players to National Honor Society status. In
1997, she was named The New York Daily News Coach of the Year.
In 2006, she began a six-year tenure as an Assistant Women’s
Basketball Coach at her other alma mater, Wagner College. A star
player at Notre Dame herself, Moe was a 1,000-point scorer and
two-time Staten Island Advance and New York Daily News All-Star.
Through hard work, discipline, hustle and heart, she developed
into the NEC Player of the Year in 1989, when she led the Wagner women’s basketball team
to the school’s only NEC title.
Meet the Coaching Team
John Hannafin - Moe’s husband of 26 years, he served as Associate Head Coach of
the Notre Dame Academy girls basketball team for 16 seasons before beginning a two-year
term as head coach from 2006-08. In his first season as head coach, in 2006-07, he guided
the Gators to the school’s first-ever New York State Federation Title in Glens Falls, NY. For
his efforts, he was named The New York Daily News Coach of the Year. The Hannafins reside
in Westerleigh with their sons John (18) and Steven (15).

foot-work and technique”

(Lunch - $5.00 per day or bring your own)
*Campers will have access to SIA’S swimming pool.
(Certified lifeguards on duty. Please send your child
with bathing suit, footwear for pool and towel).
