Colin Johnson and I would like to welcome everyone here today, for “The Cream of the
Lisnalty Herd Sale”. It is an honour and a privilege for us to officiate as auctioneers on this
special day for the Hannan Family, especially with such tremendous stock available to suit
every dairy person’s possible requirement.
The occasion is even more special, based on the fact that I have known the Hannan Family
since my school days. We are tremendously impressed by the standard of animals being put
forward for sale, and I am sure all of you gathered here today will concur with that sentiment.
It is a true testament to the Hannan family’s continued, dedicated support of progressive
breeding.
With a catalogue as good as this it’s hard to pick out something special, with Potential 16th
Generation of EX or VG animals on offer for sale. Members of the Raven (Markwell), Tammy
(Quality), Classic (Tirsvad), Sunray (Ullswater), Shower (Drumond), Ideal (Ullswater), Idella (Newlands) and Tonair (Karona). Yields of up to 16,000 KG’s of Milk & up to 1,200 KG’s
Combined Fat & Protein. Over 4.6 % FAT & 3.8% Proteins. But there are a few that really
caught our eye:
Lot 5: Lisnalty Cix Pauline VG89 4Y - EX Mammary. They don’t come much better,
and she works in the parlour as well, doing over 13,000 KG’s of milk in her 1st Lactation and
Projected todo the same in her 2nd.

The Hannan Family would like to welcome everybody to the “Cream of Lisnalty” Sale. We
are delighted to offer the very best members from some of our more noted Cow Families, such as the Raven (Markwell), Tammy (Quality), Classic (Tirsvad), Sunray (Ullswater),
Shower (Drumond), Ideal (Ullswater), Idella (Newlands) and Tonair (Karona). Although it
must be said, we will be sad to see them leave.
At Lisnalty, we have always endeavoured to breed cows, which will last, produce milk easily,
are pleasing to look at and are low maintenance. We achieved this through selective additions and prudent sire choices from around the world.
There are a couple of lots that would be our personal favourites,

All Animals are 30 day TB & Brucellosis tested for immediate export and all animals are
vaccinated for; IBR, BVD, Lepto & Salmonella
Transport
Free Transport is provided to central locations along the route, from Lisnalty, through
Northern Ireland & onto Cairnryan. Transport will be provided by Andrew Ewing, A & A
Ewing Dumbretton Farm, Dumfries, Scotland. Andrew’s experience in international livestock transport will ensure your purchase gets the very best of care on their travels.
Viewings & Inspections
All Animals are available for inspection on the day of the sale, however if you wish to view
any of the stock prior to sale day, then please contact Paul Hannan on 0879176011.
Settlement & Terms
All accounts to be settled in full on day of sale.
Security of Title
If Payment for any animal or item purchased is offered by cheque, the title or ownership
of said items shall remain with the vendor and shall not pass to the purchaser until such
cheque has been cleared and paid by their bank.

The stock will be sold in euro guineas i.e. each bid is €1.05 and VAT at livestock rate will be charged
on the .05 regulated by the Auctioneers
The highest bidder to be the buyer, and if any dispute shall arise, the lot in dispute to be put up again and resold, or the Auctioneers may declare the purchaser at their discretion and their decision shall be final. The
Auctioneers reserve the right to refuse the bid of any person without being called upon to give a reason for
such action.
All lots to be paid for at the close of the sale. No lot or lots shall be removed from the sale premises until paid
for and a pass-out slip obtained from the Auctioneer’s clerk, but each and every lot shall immediately at the
fall of the hammer be considered as delivered, and be and remain in every respect at the absolute risk of the
respective purchaser or purchasers there of, and shall be removed from the Sale premises at the purchaser’s
expense. Loading shall be the duty and responsibility of the purchaser.
The purchaser to give his name and dwelling place, and to remove the stock immediately after the sale.
Every care has been taken in the compilation of this catalogue but no responsibility is taken by the Auctioneers for any error appearing therein or in regard to the qualification of the animals and all purchasers must be
on this distinct understanding.
All statements in the catalogue or any made by the Auctioneers at the time of sale, also the identification of
the animals, are the entire responsibility of the Vendors. The Auctioneers take no personal responsibility for
