Magical Thread Art: Sulky® Online Certified Teacher Training Dear Student,
In this document are a complete list of course supplies and a source list where you can get
other notions and products used for this online certification course. Nearly 90% of the
supplies will be available at ShopFonsandPorter.com. We think most people will already have
most of these notions in their sewing room, but just in case this website will have them.
This list can appear to be a little daunting, and the reason we don't show a total cost is
because it's really hard to quantify as so many people are going to pull fabrics from their
stash and most already have a lot of Sulky Threads and Stabilizers. We are however making a
complete set of threads, a complete set of stabilizers, and a combo pack of both available on
ShopFonsandPorter.com. Not everyone will purchase these complete packs because most
everyone who signs up has some of them already. But, some will and we did it as a
convenience - a one-stop-shopping benefit.
There are some specialty fabrics like the Fantasy Floral Sculptured Art and the 3-D Sunflower
project, and those fabrics are still available, so there is a source for those. They are not large
pieces - less than a yard for the 3-D project and about 1/3 yd. for the sculptured bowl, and
the cost should be minimal for those. For most of the others you may have appropriate
fabrics in your stash. We show lots of options, for instance for the Magical Tigers, we show a
large flower print used instead of tigers, and a contemporary cosmic version. So you might
want to view the video in the course before you actually purchase fabrics.
There are also a minimal number of laser pre-cut appliques for three of the projects and an
embroidered pear from ShopFonsandPorter.com, too. So the early bird gets the worm with
those.
