Properties
Stainless Steel remains the most popular medium for kitchen sink production. It’s not
difficult to realise when you consider it’s main attributes:
Heat Resistant
Stainless Steel is highly heat resistant, so much so that hot pans straight from the stove can
rest safely on the sink - a highly useful thing when juggling the pasta.
Hygienic
A totally non-porous surface that is easy to keep clean and consequently more hygienic.
Impact Resistant
Stainless Steel is the most forgiving material for impact and is the least likely material to
damage your best china or glassware whilst remaining unscathed itself.
Care and Cleaning
Bleach/Chlorides
These are found in almost all cleaning solutions and detergents and if left on the sinks for
long periods can be damaging. They are water soluble, however, if you rinse away residues
after each use. A weekly clean with a stainless steel cleaner is all that is needed to keep
your sink looking bright and shiny.
Scratches
Like most metallic finishes, your stainless steel sink will scratch. Don’t worry, these are
simply usage marks that will eventually blend into the overall finish of the sink.
Water Quality
The quality of your water can affect the appearance of your sink. When water has a high
iron content a brown stain can form on the surface giving the appearance of rust. Remove
mineral deposits and scaling by soaking in a solution of 3 parts hot water and 1 part white
vinegar, and then dry it with a soft cloth to prevent further limescale build-up.
Plastic Washing-up Bowls
It is not advisable to use a washing-up bowl as they tend to pick up grit particles and the
bottom of the bowl can act like sandpaper leaving an area of concentrated tiny scratches.
Instead try using a wire basket, these are available with most models.

These very sophisticated hand finished sinks are our most
geometrically shaped models and have been planned with
aesthetics and practicality in mind. They feature zero radius bowls
with recessed drainers that help contain spills and have specially
designed accessories that help with food preparation. They are
brushed to a lustrous grain finish and their underside is coated
with a sound absorbing rubberised paint that keeps them quiet
when in use as well as adding strength to the robust 1.2mm
stainless steel. They can be fitted as Topmount or Flushmount.

The 25mm radius bowls add to this sink’s modernity which also

GLACIER Covered Sink
The Glacier is a brand new concept for sinks, the
design ethos is to close off the sink when not in
use providing an overall sense of order to the
whole kitchen. The glass sliding boards provide a
calm uncluttered appearance when closed that
can hide the items queuing up for the dishwasher.
The glass covers in conjunction with the
suspended colanders are also a great aid in food
preparation. The futuristic design has also been
extended to the wastes which incorporate steel
covers concealing the strainer wastes - adding

The Frame is an entirely new generation of kitchen sinks
created and manufactured by Intra-Norway for Clearwater.
The timeless design of the Frame series with its emphasis
on form and function is typically Scandinavian in simplicity.
These sinks are made from 1.2mm steel and so have a
particularly robust feel, this sense of rigidity is strengthened
further by the incorporation of reinforcing under the
drainers.
Each sink is supplied with a series of accessories; matching
pop up waste control, soap dispenser, drain gratings and
custom made rinsing baskets.
Glass and wooden preparation boards that coordinate with
the bowl size and are designed to slide across over the
drainer areas are also available as extras.

The Adelphi are constructed from a robust
1.0mm gauge steel . The edge profile is a
single thickness thus lying virtually flush with
the work surface. They are also dimensionally
bigger than the usual size sinks allowing
generous size washing bowls and the bigger
overall dimension makes them ideal for
replacing an old sink without the need to
renew the worktop. They are also supplied
with stylistic minimalistic strainer wastes

Normal washing is carried out in one of the bowls or if

Undermount sink installation
Undermount sinks are installed underneath
solid surface worktops such as granite, stone or

The Salsa are the latest range of

Icerock sinks give you the design flexibility you
need with the professional look of stainless steel.
They are manufactured in 1.22mm stainless steel
-the highest grade available for domestic sinks .
A sound absorbing undercoat called Silentshield
is also applied to the underside of the bowls; this
sharply decreases noises from dishes, running
water and waste disposal units. Silentshield also
helps reduce condensation and maintain water
temperature.
All models have overflows except 3352BW-L.

The Profi Star is probably the most versatile undermount sink ever. It combines unique
‘stepped’ walls with a series of coordinated accessories. The innovative shaped bowl is
