2016 Housatonic River Fall Fishing Trip Trip Information th nd 1. Proposed dates of the t rip: 2. Location: 3. Lodging: This will be a camping/fishing trip. As this is “off-‐season” reservations for campsites cannot be made in advance. Campsites are obtained on a “walk-‐in” basis, so it is important to get there early on Friday to get a good site. We will try to coordinate campsites in advance so we can camp together and save money. Campsite costs $27 per night and up to three tents or six people may share a campsite. If you are planning to come, please contact Ken Barile at the phone number below so we can pre-‐plan the campsites. Friday, September 30 through Sunday, October 2 . SOME FACTS ABOUT HOUSATONIC MEADOWS STATE PARK th The Housatonic Meadows Campground is open for the season from May 17th through October 10 . • • • • • • • • Route 7, Sharon 61 sites in rustic setting near Housatonic River. Dumping station, bathrooms, showers. No swimming. No pets. Alcohol-‐free campground. Please do not bring alcoholic beverages. $27/night/campsite for non-‐CT residents plus a Processing Fee $60/night for rustic cabins for non-‐residents plus a processing fee. Cabins sleep five people. Directions to Housatonic Meadows Camp Grounds: From the South – Greater Danbury area: travel north on Route 7 into Sharon, CT. The park is located along Route 7 approximately 2 miles north of the intersection with Route 4 and approximately 3 miles south of the West Cornwall Covered Bridge. 4.
