Prosecutor Gerdha opened the courtroom door hesitantly and gave a quick look to the empty place. She
thought to the funny sides of life: her life was quietly going on when in a sunny late August afternoon she
casually clicked on a link and a Grendizer Forum page appeared on her PC screen so finding herself
suddenly in a parallel universe she never suspected could possibly exist. She had looked around
astonished and rushed back to her usual life, but that page was highly calling her curiosity so she
surrended to the temptation and posted a shy message just to say hallo and exit for good. But it was too
late and that parallel universe had already trapped her spirit.
"No, Gerdha, you are not fair and honest" - she thought while looking around to the empty courtroom - "in
reality it was not a trap, it was the tool you needed to open Pandora's Box. How many times did you
complain before for having the opportunity to share your passion for Grendizer with nearly nobody? And for
not having nearly anyone to talk with about the impact which that anime and particularly Hikaru's character
had in your life? May you complain now for not feeling an isolated crazy addicted anymore?"
Prosecutor Gerdha sat on her chair and put her big bag f ull of proofs on the table. Okay, it was somewhat
ironic: she has always liked the Attorney role, loved an Attorney fictional character and now she was going
to act as a Prosecutor. Yeah, this funny role exchange could only happen in a Grendizer parallel universe she thought laughing at herself. "Well, this is another thing I could not complain for: I was the one who
started tl'ris trial because I could not resist to the temptation to look at soap bubbles Attorney Agnes
polluted in this forum. Darn ep72, how I love & hate you. lt would be required an MM only to explain why
inis ep has always fascinated me so much... Oh dear, maybe the Attorneywillask me the reason during
the trial and I have accepted the rule to answer to this kind of questions... yeah, she has understood I love
challenging myself ... weil, nevermind, now it's time to look over again my Act of Prosecution in order to be
ready tò stàrt ftre trial." So Prosecutor Gerdha opened her bag, took out a long document and started to
read at low voice some extracts:
Attorney Agnes' main thought is that all soap bubbles polluting in ep 72 are there to build a bridge between
past, presJnt and f uture, and particularly to prepare the viewers to the close departure of Actarus and
Maria'to their native planet. Well, to a góod extent I agree - particularly with the idea of the bridge - but I
see more in episode 72 than a subtle way to advise us viewers about the possible ending of our favourite.
show, or the siory of Vegalia's love for Ouke Fteed. As a matter of fact I think episode 72 is like a matrioska
doll.
For more, I believe whole Grendizer anime concept is like a file of matrioske (its multilayred aspects which
we talked about sometimes) we are invited to open and play with for 71 episodes, and then all of a sudden
we are gifted with the last one which is the mosi coloured and well dressed but also the most complicated
to undeistand how to open and play with. Call me qazy, but I believe that episode 72 can be considered as
the REAL end of Grendizer, as isee episode 73 like its natural continuation and no matter what happens,in
episode 74 (which is a total mess - I have an opinion about the two final eps but it's not the today topic of
the discussion). I mean that episode 72 is for me the f inal point of all main characters development, but in
particular it's the place where we are shown finally who really Actarus is as a person and can fully
understand his personal journey throughout the whole story - and I am not referring only lo the n9r!9d ^_
covered by the anime episodesbut also his whole life. And his story would have sense only if ne DlQ NOI
love Rubióa. lf contrary, the whole anime would be based in my opinion on a giant plot hole, and all in all I
think this possibility is irnlikely. Because to me ep72 was directly written by Go Nagai himself - or at least
he gave the main inputs to his collaborators - with the purpose to bring back his most loved character f rom

Toei executives in order to give him in his own way the closure he deserved. After all the craps of Araki era,
the scriptwriter of ep 72 succeeded in saving the anime giving us back the "adult" story the Author tried to
develop during Komatsubara era and that get nearly lost after the change of character designer.
Seeing too much in an anime and writing MMs is a game, of course, but a great game. lt's funny and a
good mind exercise. Like playing with matrioske: if you are lucky enough to own a group of them you can
play with all the big but you can also open them and play with all the other incarnations, or even with only a
smaller group. You can fill a room with all your matrioske or place them in an ordered file, in a word you
have unlimited possibility to play with. And now I know why I love so much Grendizer: it's to me like a big
group of beautiful matrioske and the last one * ep72 - is the most loved & hated because it's stunning but
also hard to be opened to see its content.
To continue this game, I could tell you which are the MAIN matrioske I personally find in episode 72 (lhere
are also others but of minor impact IMO):
1) Actarus
2) Venusia
3) Actarus & Venusia
4) Alcor
5) Maria
6) Alcor & Maria
7) Maria & Venusia
8)Actarus & Alcor
9) King Vega
10) Zuril
11) Planet Fleed
12) Planet Earth
and they are all interconnected in such a genial way that really playing with the f rame-by-frame tool of the
VCR in some moments is an insane but useful system to discover all the hidden tricks. Attorney Agnes is
right, the "visual" aspects are in this case crucial plus the best and maybe only correct way to approach
e[isode 72 because its dialogues are not enough to explain what happens. Episode 72is a masterpiece in
my opinion because of the incredible amount of information which are given to us in such a short time
coupied with the most beautiful design I have seen in an anime for years and an animation that in some
scenes is still unsurpassed even after 25 years. lf I was asked to select a significant example of what is a
Japanese anime respect to a classical western cartoon, I think I would probably choose Grendizer episode
72.
No, I have not forgotten Vegalia, but I purposely left her outside of the list. For me she is not a matrioska,
but the dress of thè main dollwhich is called ep72. She is a plot device, nothing more, like Aphelie in ep 25
or Ergastul in ep34 or Alizèe in ep63: fake main characters in episodes that have a different purpose and a
deepér meaning. I don't mean at all that Rubina has to be disregarded but that her sudden introduction in
ep72 - two episbdes ahead of the end! - is not a casualty, like it was not an accident Naida's arrival in ep25
not doing this comparison
- two episodes after Venusia's discover of Actarus true identity. And I am
uninteniionally: these two pafiicular episodes are in my opinion strictly related, and not only because of the
common topic of Actarus past engagements.
Ep72 was totally unexpected to me and I hated it with a passion for years. lt was called in ltaly "Rivoluzione
nello Spazio" but then I would have called it instead "Revolution in Grendizer story''. lts ending was so
inexplicable to me, Actarus behaviour and desperation were so out of character that I could not believe I
was watching realty a Grendizer episode and the same "person" I "knew" for so long. And this surprise
would be valid whatever interpretation is given to his relationship with Rubina, because that reaction was
out of character anyway - his best f riend died an episode before and we did not get anything similar, for .
example. Only recéntlyl finally found an explanation as I succeeded in connecting ep72 with the rest of the
anime.
I never felt comfortable watching the end ol ep72, something always bothered me to no end. I suppose_d it
was because I felt so attached io Venusia that I could not accept Actarus sadness for Rubina's death' But
in reality this explanation was not good enough to me - the Why Girl. I knew there was something else' ln
fact rewatching the episode last sùmmer I finally focused my uneasiness better: it was not the first time I
felt that way wàtching Grendizer, I met the same feeling previously so in ep72 I experienced a deja-vu.
Episode 2ó and Acla-rus "madness": that was my first encounter with a totally unexpected behaviour f rom
my hero and a possible important plot hole (the miraculous recovery) Yelt!9 deja-vu feeling was there, so
t starteO to consider the possibility of a connection between episodes 25 &72 and possibly others. Let's
see if the little evidences I have fóund are good enough to be considered later like proves of my theory by
the jury

Shingo Araki took the lead of Grendizer development on ep 49, exactly at Phenicia arrival. I leave to a
furlher discussion the analysis of Marie-Grace character and the reasons and consequences of her
introduction; some posts exchanges in the Forum have anyway already underlined the fact that for sure
Venusia character was left aside f rom the story for a number of eps after that moment. But I would add that
also Actarus seemed to disappear as a character (someone please tell me that ep 59 is an April Fool...),
without talking about Rigel, Mizar and Procton. The mood of the serie changed dramatically, like once
again there were doubts about the nature of this anime (remember the discussions on the Forum about the
serie redesign after ep12?).lf lthink to eps 52-61 as a whole I would say-from a character development
point of view - so what? Apart the horror of ep59, the other episodes have some great moments - I don't
want to underestimate them - but I don't see any continuos "attention" to characters different than Alcor and
Maria excluding maybe ep 56 for Procton. The story is interesting (Vega's fight for survival) and continues
of course without major plot holes and with a better skilled design team but for me far away f rom the
emotions of Komatsubara era.lt's like somebody (Toei executives?) was trying to transform again
Grendizer in something different but without knowing exactly what and how to do (of course this topic would
deserve a new MM).
EVIDENCE 2: THE FINAL ARC STRATEGY
Suddenly something changes on ep62. Finally an "old style" episode, with attention to character
personaiities. And similar impressions arrives to me also from eps 63 on, like once again someone who
knew what the real story of Grendizer is about îakes the lead of the scripts. Am I crazy to think that Nagai
came back to take care of his preferred creature in order to save the real Grendizer anime before it was too
an hypothesis, but I cannot explain otherwise the new change of the mood of the story. My
late? lt's only-knowiàg
that the serie was only 12 eps ahead from the ending, somebody (Nagai?) decided to
idea is that,
try to close the story in the appropriate way and starled to prepare the final. ln fact I find from now on that
episodes f inally arscentred again around characters and their personalities & relationships (ep 62: Mizar,
Actarus & Proóton, ep 63: Actarus & Phenicia; ep 64: the Patruille; ep 65: Alcor; ep 66: Rigel & Venusia,
Venusia & Actarus). But this is anyway the comeback of old-style coral episodes, where eps 54-61 had
fundamentally an only main character on stage (Marie-Grace and partially Alcor).
EVIDENCE 3:THE CLOSING EPISODES STRATEGY
But eps 62-66 are for me only an introduction to the real final arc. The real closing of Grendizer stafts with
ep 67 and goes on up to ep 73 with an increasing dramatic atmosphere that cannot be - IMO - an
accident. S-omebody (and who other than Nagai himself?) planned the scripts content in an intelligent way
and knowing exactly what was going to happen later both to the story itself and character personalities.
This is my personal overview:
Ep67: the destruction of the submarine base and last Alcor&Maria craziness;
Ep68: the comeback of Planet Fleed on the main scene, with Phenicia's pray to Actarus to find a way to
end the war as soon as possible after Kein's suicide (one of the exception about dialogues I was referring
to previously)
fp'OO: tne sióry of 3 fathers and 3 sons involved in different ways in the war; Actarus available to leave the
enemy (Zuril's son) escaping safely
Ep 7Oi again Planet Fleed oÉ tfre main scene, but this time with also a presenlation of the relationships
between-another father figure - the King of Fleed - and their sons (this ep is absolutely underrated and
would deserve instead a number of posts in my opinion) plus other hints about the relationships status
between the four Aigles plus the injury worsening even more
Ep 71: Actarus worry to die before having the possibility to end the war; his past as a prince coming back
once again in his life; the parallel between his two best friends; Pollux curing the lethal injury
Epl7: ihe final tragedy: Actarus' past (=Vsgslia) taking the main scene once more, Planet Fleed coming
back to life; Zuril'Jdeàttr; tt're lasi chance tò end the war without any further fights (plus tons of other tricks)
Ep 73: a natural consequence of what happens in ep72 (ep74 is another story as I already noticed)
EVIDENCE 4: ARAKI/HIMENO AS DESIGNERS OF EPISODE 72
I defined before Arakiera as a crap. Of course I was talking about the lack of ability of Shingo Araki to
manage scripts, as it's clear that fiom a pure design point of view his era has a better average level than
Komaisubara's and anyway the introduciion of Michi Himeno in the design team f rom ep50 gifted the
anime with unforgettable eós from a visual perspective (ep 50 itself and ep 63 for example)' So the choice
of the team Araki/Himeno io design such an important episode like number 72 is perfectly understandable.
As I remarked previously, Araki/H-imeno has a special ability in designing emotions (looks, facial
expressions, and so on)-and personally I believe Ihal ep72 is under a certain extent a masterpiece f rom
this point of view. Given 23 minutes available for an episode and tons of happenings to show, every
fragment could be crucial and Araki/Himeno choice as designers can mean something.
Bulthat's more for me. This episode is very complex and so full of strange parliculars that I cannot think to
some specific visual aspects as accidents. They instead should have been necessary written in the script
and consequently they should have a specific meaning, as otherwise we would be forced to think that even with such afew days of work avaiiable (eps weré drawn usually a couple of weeks before the airing) Araki&Himeno wasted piecious time in designing meaningfulness scenes. And personally I consider this

EVIDENCE 5: RUBINA AND THE POSSIBLE PLOT HOLE
I reiterate that my particular theory about ep72 considers a f undamental assumption: Actarus was forced to
engage to Rubina in Fleed as the last attempt to save his planet from the possible invasion of Vega and he
neveiloved her; on the contrary when he lived in Fleed he was in love for Naida instead. I don't mean that
he had bad sentiments towards Vegalia, but feeling some sort of affection for a nice girl is very different
from being in love with her (l suppose we can all agree about this general affirmation, right?).
What evidences could we have about a possible love story between Actarus and Rubina? Honestly I am
able to identify only three: a couple of anyway ambiguous dialogues f ragments (the bedroom and the agony
scenes), an ambiguous scene (Actarus reminding Rubina at the lake scene with Phenicia) and Duke
Fleed's desperate reaction after Vegalia's death. Really a very few indications in my opinion, even if the
latter could be considered enough at first sight. But do we have any contrary indication? Well, I believe that
the analysis of the visual aspects oî ep72 could prove my approach is right but anyway I think that my
assumption could be demonstrated also from a systematic point of view.
I personally would consider the hypothesis of Duke Fleed's love for Rubina as a giant plot hole in the
anime, and even able to invalid both its whole meaning and Actarus character presentation. Because we
get to know 2 episodes ahead f rom the end of the story (!!!) an incredible news: Actarus was not only the
Óuke of Fleed, but he was destined to become no less than the King of Vega himself. Yes, my f riends,
think about it for a second: Rubina was entitled to reign after her father (King Vega himself will confirm it
indirectly on ep73) so her husband would have become consequently the future King of Vega. So we would
have seen for 71 episodes Actarus fighting against no less than his possible father-in-law, also killing the
population of the woman he loved deeply and without interruption from 8 years and that he was originally
intended to reign upon, without any particular conscience struggle on the matter (l mean, he has several
but not this onè). Come on, my f riends, has this any sense, given the story we have seen and the character
of Actarus who was presented to us up lo ep72? We are talking about an anime which blew our souls away
particularly for the attention to characters personalities: how is it possible to have a similar sudden
contradiction in Actarus aller 71 eps of coherency?
It's true that Actarus is always presented as a peaceful man who does not like to kill anybody an! tries to
avoid the death of the enemy when possible, but exactly this part of his personality can exclude for me that
he was in love with Rubina or othenryise we would face a giant plot hole. ln fact, if contrary, why the hell he
did never search for Vegalia before, at least to get aid from her to stop the war? We see Actarus fight and
suffer for 71 episodes bécause of the war and the fact that he is the only one that can drive Grendizer and
so trying to deiend planet Earth in order to avoid it to undergo a similar terrific experience as Fleed, while
instead-he could have simply and happily asked for his beloved King Vega's daughter's aid to overcome all
problems??!! Pardon??? What an incredible plot hole would be this? And it would have lasted from the
beginning, so in my opinion the whole anime story concept would result this way toÎally fake. (Well, it could
evòn be l we are tàtt<ing about a cartoon after all - but personally I think it's unlikely. We have discussed
and agreed so many times about Grendizer internal coherency, so honestly discovering an invalidating
point àt the end it's óomething that I would evaluate as an extreme ratio and only if no other explanation
would be possible.)
For more: Actarus was a fugitive for 4 years before arriving on Earth: why he did not merry Vegalia in the
meantime if he loved her so much? Lack of time, lack of information about her location? Come on, she was
the heir to Vega's throne, i.e. the future queen of the largest empire of the universe; later she gets also an
official role aJPlanet Ruby's governor. lf Actarus wanted to merry her, for sure he would have found the
way to track her down. By the way, it would have been also a good and peaceful way to have a revenge
agàinst King Vega who destroyeci Fleed. As Vegalia proposes a new wedding to Actarus in ep72, it's clear
http://disc.server.com/discussion.cgi?id=1 02381 ;article=5570
2410312003
Goldorak
Pagina 2 di 4
that.it was not impossible from a "political" or "legal" point of view for her to merry him, so no obstacles
would have existed for the marriage even before.
Nobody knew about this engagement and possible deep love of Actarus for the princess of Vega no
character including his sister mentions ittor 71 eps - so we should suppose that:
a) Actarus suffered of amnesia and did not recallof it up to ep72 (yeah, right)
b) he talked to his friends about it "out of the screen" but nobody cared or thought about the possible
consequences (yeah, right again)
c) he was the one who wanted nobody to know about this past engagement because he did not love her
and that particular of his past life was one of the memories of his role in planet Fleed he desperately tried
to overcome - see previous MMs on the Forum on this topic - (more likely to me). ln fact no reasons exist
for me from a storytelling point of view for Actarus to purposely keep the secret with earlhlings about his
love affair with Rubina (without talking about Matrioska no3, but this is another story out of the scope of this
post).
Lastly, Actarus does not tell his f riends the reason why he is so upset at the balcony scene of ep72. No
words from him neither about the possible wedding nor - and this is even more incredible - about the good
news about planet Fleed. lf Actarus is in love with Rubina, why the hell he does not rush to the Centre
jumping for the joy for his native planet coming back to life and for having met again the woman he loved
f rom B years and who can for more offer peace on a silver plate? For what we see in the episode, Rubina
dies instead without earthlings (including Phenicia) even officially knowing about planet Fleed news and
what negotiation is going on. I reiterate that to me this has no sense at all.
Sorry, but unless the scriptwriter of ep 72 was mad or hired 5 minutes before the starting of the designing
phase without knowing anything about Grendizer story and its characters - and I reiterate that for me there
are instead enough evidences of ep72 being devised and written by Nagai himself - lcannot believe that
the hypothesis of Actarus being in love for Vegalia is feasible. There must be of course an explanation
about Actarus desperate reaction to her death, but it cannot be the loss of the woman he loved. The
explanation should necessarily be different.
Also visual aspects of ep72 related to the Vegalia's plot exclude for me a lovestory between the two
princes; without getting into deep and boring details now (l suppose the Attorney will recap them anyway in
her Act Of Defence), the f inal count of visual evidences about Actarus/Rubina relationship is to me 1 -13-5
(love - no lovestory - ambiguity). So, even considering as a pure theoretical hypothesis that all ambiguous
evidences are in favour of the love affair, the contrary indications are anyway more than double. Coupling
this result from visual indications analysis with the systematic ones, I personally exclude that the script of
ep72 meant Actarus being in love with Rubina. She is of course in love with him but not viceversa.
I said in this Act Of Prosecution introduction that episode 72 has IMO a deeper meaning than the story of a
possible forgotten love or a simple preparation to episode 74 ending. I think in fact ep72 is one of the
possible keys to the entire anime and it's placed here in the final countdown to tell us something
fundamental about Actarus personality.
What is the biggest matrioska of all in Grendizer? I believe f rom what I have read up to today on this Forum
that everybody here agree about the wide spectrum of topics covered by this anime and that it has deeper
meanings apaft - obviously - entertainment and business. And my personal answer is that one of the core
topics of Grendizer is Actarus personal journey, in a way that he is the real tragic f igure of the story.
Because to me Grendizer is mainly the story of a tragedy, the tragedy of a man that cannot escape his
destiny. A typical Nagai approach for instance, and honestly coherent with his usual storytelling style
(Devilman, Jeeg, ...). Nagai has never written romantic tales and he has always enlighten more the "dark
aspects" of life more than its happy side. And I personally recognise the same approach to be present also
in Grendizer.
What happens really during episode 72? Well, here is my vision. Actarus discovers for the first time that the
peace is a real possibility: the war could finally end and Planet Earth would be saved if he accepts to merry
Rubina. For more, his new-born planet Fleed could be part of a diplomatic exchange with the man who
destroyed his native place as he could allow the enemy to live in Fleed instead of its original population. So
Actarus must reconsider his whole life once again.
He already offered his life to save peace when he accepted to be engaged to Vegalia even without loving
her; it's not said explicitly neither in ep25 nor in ep72, but given his joy in meeting Aphelie it's possible that
he split with her for the official engagement purpose. lt's only an hypothesis of course but I don't find it
totally unlikely. Despite this, Fleed was anyway attacked (personal opinion: it would be interesting to know
why, but this is surely the matter of another discussion). Actarus is able to escape thanks to Grendizer, but
cannot save neither his family nor his friends nor his real girlfriend nor anyway his population. I believe he
brings with him throughout his life as a fugitive and also on Planet Earth a terrible sense of guiltiness for

this. He tries to staft a complete new life with a new name, a new father, a new job and a .low profile" so to
speak. Nothing to recall he was Duke Fleed. So as Vega forces attack Earth he decides this time he will
stay and fight until the very end. But when Aphelie accuses him to be a traitor, his guiltiness feelings totally
overcome him, because he has always believed in the deep of his heart he maybe did not do enoùgh to
save his people. ln fact when Naida tries to kill him, Actarus is already "mad" (his expression is fixed and
he does nothing to stop her). Locked in the room while Venusia and Aphelie talk, he'is persecuted by the
ghosts of planet Fleed dead population. Well, I would say Actarus' craziness in ep25 is more similario
depression than madness; in fact Procton's cure is not a miracle but has the characteristics of a strong
electroshock - a method very rarely but still sometime used in early 70s for high depression cases.
After having overcome jn some ways (l won't explain my theory now for brevity) the guiltiness feelings
following Aphelie's forgiveness, Actarus must face another troúble: the poisonìng injury. He is subsàntially
g dead- man walking who wants to use his last days for a good cause. He cannoi plan à long distance
future for himself but he can anyway give a future to his friends. But destiny has more surprlses for
Actarus: first his sister come back in his life and finally - just when he worries to have a very short time still
available to live and accomplish his task - Pollux cures his injury and allows him to totally change once
more the perspective of his life.
Soon after this last incredible event (by the way, I would have some ideas about the timeline of the last
episodes of the anime...), Vegalia arrives with the news about planet Fleed and the offer of peace. What
could it mean for Actarus? He never loved her, but his personal sacrifice would at the same time save
Planet Earth, Vega population and give a new sense to his life. He could even have the opportunity to
become the King of Vega so being the master of that "evil" empire and possibly influence its "bad" politic.
This would mean he should change once again his lifestyle and become again Duke Fleed for good, but
would his personal sacrifice worth it?
That's why I believe the scriptwriter of episode 72was a genius and very likely Grendizer's creator himself.
Here is the explanation to Actarus tears while looking at the sky towards planet Fleed, to his distressed
expression at the balcony scene, to his silence about the news about his native planet even with his sister:
he is facing a terrible conscience struggle. And here is the explanation to his decision to go anyway to the
second meeting with Rubina: he wants to communicate her that he is available to accept her proposal - the
wedding and the transfer of Vega population to Fleed in exchange of peace and salvation for Earth. Here is
also the explanation both to Actarus change of attitude and his words during Vegalia's agony, and to
Venusia's pain as she suddeniy guesses what Actarus would have wanted to do. When Rubina dies
betraying for more her father, in reality Actarus sees dying together with her the last possibility to end the
war in a peaceful way, because he knows very well that King Vega is probably going to attack in
desperation with all available forces now that his only daughter is no more alive. And in that moment all his
internal ghosts and his guiltiness feelings overcome him once more - like in ep25 - so he screams in
desperation. How many people are still going to die because of him, how many persons will still loose their
lives in the tentative to save his one, what can he do to save Earth now, why not even this time he was
allowed to use his life to bring peace? Furthermore, if he would have imagined Vegalia was really in love
with him eight years before and still had feelings for him, he could have asked for her aid from a long time
so avoiding death and destruction for both Earth and Vega population, but as he did not feel then nothing
but sympathy for her and theirs was an imposed wedding, this possibility never spread to his spirit. So, like
in ep25, his desperate cry and "madness" are the result of a guiltiness feeling. ln ep25 the reason was
thinking to be really a traitor and the "kille/'of the last life form of Fleed people; in ep72 Vegalia dying to
save him and betraying her father to demonstrate her sincerity plus the thought of the time wasted in a war
that could maybe have been avoided. But this time his pain is doubled also by the awareness that Rubina's
death means the end of any dream of peace and the possible destruction of Planet Earth, with further
ghosts of dead people to persecute him forever.
And here is the explanation to the final scene ol ep72, the meaning of Actarus look without a tear and his
fiery expression. His desperation has lasted briefly this time, because Actarus has defeated his ghosts for
good now: he is going to end the war, he will use Vegalia's information to attack the Moon Base, and if he
succeeds to win he will return to his native planet because his destiny is to be Duke Fleed. Actarus
personaljourney is ended and now he knows what his life is meant to be.
Prosecutor Gerdha closed her eyes and took a big breath. She wrote the first issue of the Act Of
Prosecution three months before; many things happened in the meantime, and more reflections and proofs
should now be added to it. Well, actually a big part of them were already hidden in her bag, but Paul Drake
Senior and Paul Drake Junior were still running here and there to collect other proofs following some
further insights which spread to her mind recently thanks to a certain parallel task she had undertaken in
the meantime. "Well, I suppose this trialwill last a bit, so I should have stilltime to present my new proofs
during the discussion. After all this is a parallel universe" she thoughts keeping her eyes closed to relax a

But suddenly a rumour was heard in the room. Prosecutor Gerdha opened her eyes and gasped in
surprise: the courtroom was crowded. She could see at her left Attorney Agnes together with Miss Marple
and Mrs. Fletcher greeting, Judge Jerome sitting on the big wooden chair in the middle of the courtroom
and the Jury Suzi looking at her from the right side with a sweet smile on the face, while Mr. Clerk Of The
Cout't Poirot was gazing at her with a reproaches expression. "Oh oh, I could be in trouble..." thought
Prosecutor Gerdha. And turning her face she could see the audience behind them: all the posters of the
Forum! Ready to become a Jury's member simply adding a post to this thread! "Oh poor me" whispered
the Prosecutor.
Djinspace was standing near the courtroom door shaking head and thinking to his poor Forum which was
such a quiet and ordered place just a few months before and has been transformed in a Monstrogoth
Message arena by a bunch oî crazy posters with strange intellectual attitudes. With a guiltiness feeling
Prosecutor Gerdha hoped for his indulgence and turned her eyes to cross Attorney Agnes' ones. "So, may
begin my Defence?" asked the Attorney. "Well, I should expound my Act Of Prosecution before I suppose"
replied the Prosecutor. "Oh no, it's not necessary, we have already listened to the recap when you read it
minutes ago. You speak a bit loud, dear Prosecutor General" smiled the Attorney. Prosecutor Gerdha
rolled her eyes blushing, then laughed "Well, I still miss my detectives, but they are used to arrive at the
very last minute... and I have read only an extract of my Act Of Prosecution, you haven't listened to my
analysis of all the other matrioske... but I think it's really time to start The Trial Of The Century anyway''.
Prosecutor Gerdha sat on her chair, gave a final glance at the courtroom then looked at Attorney Agnes
with a smile. "Well, I believe the moment for the Act Of Defence has really arrived now. Please Attorney
Agnes, let us know your theory''.
I
The courtroom was in perfect silence when Attorney Agnes started to speak.

A few remarks...
Mon Mar 24 OO:43:31
2OO3
213.11.54.156
>>Actarus was not only the Duke of Fleed, but he was destined to become no less than the King of Vega
himself . Yes, my friends, think about it for a second: Rubina was entitled to reign after her father (King
Vega himself will confirm it indirectly on ep73) so her husband would have become consequently the future
King of Vega<<
This point can easily be dismissed by the fact that we don't know much about the Vegan political system. lf
we take most Earth royalties as a basis, the husband of a queen does not necessarily becomes the king. ln
most cases, to preserve the original line, power is in the hands of the one who is a direct descendant of
former sovereigns. The best-known example is the Queen of England : her husband, the duke of
Edimburgh, is *not* the King. So maybe the laws of succession are different on Vega/Fleed, but it would
make sense from a political point of view in Vega's case as well : why would Vega even envison to put his
kingdom under the care of the prince of a people he was planning to enslave and/or destroy?
Also : taking Uchù Enban Dai SensÒ as a basis, its seems like Rubina/Teronna was the sole inheritor of the
Yarban/Vegan throne. Even if it's just a "what if" story set in a different universe, it tells a great deal about
the writers' original intentions.
>>For more: Actarus was a fugitive for 4 years before arriving on Earth:<<
Wow, wasn't aware of that... ls it from the original Japanese version? Now there's good material for a
space-opera-style "planet of the week" sequel. AND it could show him searching for Rubina from planet to
planet and never f inding her... ;-))
>>later she gets also an official role as Planet Ruby's governor<<
And she's called Rubina... One of those wonderful coincidences so commonplace in many cartoons and
comics... and that even kids find weird when they have half a brain, like I did when I first discovered
Grendizer. (Now I only have a quarter of a brain).
>>a) Actarus suffered of amnesia and did not recall of it up lo ep 72 (yeah, right) <<
Well, he suffered f rom amnesia induced by Procyon in the Nagai/Ota manga, but that's another story
altogether... ;-)
>>Despite this, Fleed was anyway attacked (personal opinion: it would be interesting to know why, but this
is surely the matter of another discussion)<<
Getting their damn dirty paws on Fleed's protector/god robot Grendizer and not being willing to share might
be a good incentive for Vegans to do this.
>>Nagai has never written romantic tales and he has always enlighten more the "dark aspects" of life more
than its happy side. <<
One does not necessarily exclude the other. And in Devilman, Akira's darker side overcomes him
"because* of Miki's death. He did love her.
>>And here is the explanation to the final scene of ep72, the meaning of Actarus look without a tear and
his f iery expression. His desperation has lasted briefly this time, because Actarus has defeated his ghosts

for good now: he is going to end the war, he will use Vegalia's information to attack the Moon Base, and if
he succeeds to win he will return to his native planet beòause his destiny is to be Duké Fleed. Actarus
personaljourney is ended and now he knows what his life is meant to bé. <<
lnteresting. You'll also notice that the soundtrack is the same as used in the scene in episode 1 in which
Alcor sees Goldorak for.the very first time (which I *hope* with all my heart will be on the forecoming CD
because that's my favorite amongst all Grendizer themes). lt is not t-he very first time *we* the viewers see
Grendizer, but it is certainly the most impressive appearance of Grendizer and Actarus in the episode (with
this oh so wonderful inlout tracking showing Actarus inside Grendizer, lrom Alcor's point of view). We hear
it on Grendizer's "birth" and also on Actarus' "re-birth" as he prepares to move on to another life.
On to the next pan...

MMs are my candy...
Mon Mar 24 OO:57:15 2OO3
213.11.54.156
>>Okay, it was somewhat ironic: she has always liked the Attorney role, loved an Attorney fictional
character<<
Care to tell us from which fictional piece of work? LA Law? Daredevil ? ;-)
>>Because to me ep72 was directly written by Go Nagai himself - or at least he gave the main inputs to his
collaborators - with the purpose to bring back his most loved character f rom Toei executives in order to
give him in his own waythe closure he deserved. <<
Not willing to rain on your parade, but again, l'm not so sure about Nagai's involvement in Grendizer. He
only drew part of the original manga (half of it is obviously drawn by lshikawa Ken) and not the "TV-based"
manga with art by Gosaku Ota. He did not write the original "Uchu Enban Dai Senso" (two other people are
credited as writers). And finally, Roboiser's change to a more Mazinger-like Grendizer and Koji's addition
was most likely a demand by Toei and Bandai. Please let it be clear that I am not willing to diss Nagai in
anyway: I'm just not so sure callinq Actarus "his most loved character" is realistic. Akira Fudó sounds like a
better choice.
l'm not even sure Grendizer is a truly representative example of Nagai's style as a writer (while the mecha
design is obviously inspired by his work). And, again : is it that imporlant? We love Goldorak. We'll learn
the names of the writers sooner or later. The point is : it's great. I don't know if GÒ Nagai has much to do
with it and I say it all the more easily that I love Nagai's manga work (especially Devilman) as well.
Your analysis is remarkable, but I must confess I was expecting more about the other Matrioske you
referred to and... that I don't really get the whole Matrioska metaphor! To what extend does one character
"contains" or "spawns" the other?
An excellent read anyway,

Hi my dear Prosecutor General,
Congratulations on your Act of Prosecution - it is beautiful as ever, and I am really glad that it has already
produced an "instant witness" who addressed some points I wanted to ask questions about (isn'l it nice
when other people do your job for you?).
I just have time for a very quick message (still at work, though I should be going home, really ...). I want to
be organised about this, so I'll print your AoP and then I'll try to be logical about the whole thing (at home).
Do expect my first response soon!
Anyway, I enjoyed your opening soliloqui ...
ciao, ciao, dear Gerdha, and others, PLEASE, do follow Jé, and join in, whatever "side" your on!!!

Some required explanations & more rules for TTOTC
Mon Mar 24 02:57:26 2003
57.67.17.3
I take the opportunity of UtitiTT's comments (who I greatly thank anyway for posting) to remark a couple of
important things about my posts about TTOTC.
First of all, this playful Act Of Prosecution is a summary of another SMM I posted 3 months ago (around
Epiphany if I recall correctly). So more details about my approach lo ep72 can be found there and even in
previous discussions rewinding this Forum, if anyone is interested.
As I have a life outside this Forum, I am not English mothertongue and I am not a writer by profession,
writing MMs tooks me a while, so as I wanted f inally to start the game of the trial, I have chosen to post a
recap of my previous SMM instead to write a complete new one describing also my f urther thoughts and
the analysis of the other Matrioske. I thought it was the best way to save time, let the trial begin, give the
input for Attorney Agnes' Act Of Defence and gain some days to prepare a new Addendum with all the
other reflections I have about ep72.
By the way, I used the Matrioska metaphor in connection to the multilayered aspects of Grendizer: that
particular doll is apparently only one, but if you open it you can find another one which contains another one
and so on. ln the same way, Grendizer can be seen as a robotic anime about the war between Eafth and
Vega, and that's correct at a very superficial analysis; but some of us see much in it, and like to open the
first Matrioska to discover all the oihers.
Just to complete the Rule File for this plalul trial, and to avoid a "tennis-like" post exchange, I (The
Prosecutor) would prefer to collect comments and then post an unique reply (of course it could be an MM,
but at least an usef ul one!) after some days, unlkess major clarif ications or comments are required sooner.
And I would add a further rule, if you agree: Uchu-Eban Daisenso is not allowed as a proof as not allthe
posters have seen it and I think that anyway a very few of them know its Japanese translation (me for sure,
but I have a Japanese stepsister, ehehe). Be aware, giving up talking about the pilot movie is really an hard
task for me...but it's OK anyway; I prefer we all discuss together about what we ALL have seen (ep72)
instead to take a conference nearly alone. :-))) But for completeness of information, please be all aware
that UCHU-EBAN DAISENSO lS ENTITLED TO GO NAGAI HIMSELF AND DYNAMIC PLANNING AS ITS
AUTHORS lN THE OFFICIAL OPENING CREDITS OF THE MOVIE. Please don't confuse the scriptwriters
with the authors; they are and have different roles.

I have examined your evidence, and I have a few comments, do you want me to speak now or after
Attroney General presents her act of defence?
By the way I do agree that the pre Grendizer movie (whatever you called it) should not be used as evidence
here, because not evryone has seen (personally, I didn't, and I would not have a clue about it) besides why
do have to assume that this movie has to do anything with Grendizer? Couldn't it just be something
unrelated and only incidental that its story is similar lo ep72?

Well, this seems to be something you're pretty sensible about, so l'll put a sock on it. But personnally l'm
still not totally convinced Goldorak is a 100% Nagai creation, whether it originated at Toei or at Dynamic.
And, once again, this is not a lack of respect on my part. Other great characters have their origins
shrouded in mystery : Spider-Man, for example, was officially created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko, but
many comic book scholars believe it was originally based on a concept by Jack Kirby and Joe Simon. lt's
not that much a big deal. The final results are more important.

More explanations
Mon Mar 24 20:52:48 2OO3
57.67.17.3
Well, it seems that despite my Degree in Law I am not a good Prosecutor General at all... clearly my best
suit should be the Attorney's ... LOL!!! lthink it's better I àdd some more explanations to the conteni of my
previous posts.
For those who are not aware of it, Uchu-Eban Daisenso (the great saucer's battle) is the pilot movie of
Grendizer. lt was released in Japanese theatres on 25th July 1975. Given its success Oyitre public but
particularly for its critical acclaim, Toei decided to use its subject as a basis of the third óhapter of Mazinger
saga, adding Koji Kabuto character to justify the labelling and applying a total review of the mecha design
and partially to the character design too, but keeping anyway the names with the exception of the Makiba
s_urname (which was Makino in the pilot movie), Yabarn changed in Vega, Gattaiger/Roboizer becoming
Grendizer (there is a background story about this) and Teronna reappearing as Rubina in ep72, plus
relocating the anime in Sutama instead of Nasu (see ltalian "Alcod"s site for details). I ask for forgiveness,
but as the pilot movie cannot be used as an evidence in TTOTC, I feel it's not fair f rom my side tò add
more details on its storyboard now, even if I could be entitled to as I know the original Japanese dialogues
and credits. But once this trial ends, I promise I will post a long MM on the subjeCt with ailthe possiblà
details about story and dialogues of the pilot movie, because I can assure you Uchu-Eban Daisenso is
absolutely incredible for Grendizer analysis addicted.
By the way, dear Jè, Subject responsible, Authors and Scriptwriters have different roles. The Subject
author is the person which has the idea about the story (example: an alien arriving on Earth, adopteO Uy a
scientist and hiding in a farm); the Author is entitled to the story and characters development, while the
scriptwriters are responsible for detailing the story in scenes and dialogues. That's why it is so impoftant to
not confuse the roles. And I would add that by laws being entitled to one role instead to another gives
different rights and powers, and by all legal rules the Author is considered the only owner of the òopyrights.
With all the due consequences. Whatever things have said Go Nagai to Matt Alt in that interview in i SBZ
(provided that the translation is accurate) he is officially entitled as the Author of Uchu-Eban Daisenso and
also Grendizer. lf it's not true, well, I would say Toei executives have been really naives to let this man get
the kind of power Japanese laws leave to the Author (see a previous post of mine for more details) withbut
a reason.
Dear Jury Suzi, I would like you to wait for Attorney's Act Of Defence before communicating your opinion
on my Act Of Prosecution. lt's true that this is a parallel universe, but I would keep anyway some
substantial trial rules alive anyway, LOL LOL LOL!!!!!!
@+
Gerdha
PS for Jè: I was referring to Perry Mason when I talked about the fictional attorney character I love.
Rewinding this Forum you could find my original SMM about ep72, where I said first something about this.

OK, l'll give you the benef it of the doubt and admit for now that this is how roles were distributed in the case
of Robo-iser/Grendizer. You know someone who can read the titles, so that's a good source of information.
Nevertheless, one must not underestimate Shózo Uehara's work as scriptwriter, since dialogue plays a
quite important part in conveying the character's feelings which are so important in your analysis. But that
does noi change much to the relevance of your work, and the subject of who did what is pretty irrelevant in
our case. So I'll such my trap about this for a while.

Dear Jury Jerome (how many Jeromes are there around here??? lt's so funny, the name Geronimo is
lolally ynused in ltaly, LOL LOL LOL!!!) it seems my coffee break is to be entitled to the Forum even today,
LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL.
I reiterate that Uchueban Daisenso is on the track on my Agenda, but it's not the time to talk about it now. I
would have more pafticulars about the credits to share in addition to the analysis of the movie and its
original dialogues (which really astonished me in some scenes when I get to know the real translation).
thank you for giving me the benefit of doubts :-))) but I would abuse of your indulgence to underline that
scriptwriters are always in deep connection with the Author(s) team as they could not act contrary to the
copyright owner's desirers. So I have no intention to underestimate Shozo Uhehara's work at all, but unless
Toei credited Nagai & Dynamic for a job they did not do (a crazy decision considering the legal
consequences) it's clear that he wrote his screenplay on the basis of indications received by the Autho(s).
Or anyway Nagai & Dynamic approved his work.
I
Be aware of an important disclaimer that I have inserted also in my AoP (and the old SMM too) but maybe
it was not so clearly evidenced (sorry!): when I taik about the Author cf Grendizer I don't mean Mr. Nagai
himself only, but the whole team at Dynamic Planning which was appointed to the pilot movie and later to
the anime. Both pilot movie and the anime are officially credited to Go Nagai & Dynamic Planning; it's a
good trick to keep valid the copyrights even when Mr. Nagai will die if the company survives him, but he is
used to credit his collaborators for their job this way in any case (it's a known fact).
About my knowledge of legal aspects... well, I HAVE a Degree in Law for real, LOL! So I know the general
aspects of the problem. Referring to Japanese laws about copyright, the same website you have linked has
a section dedicated to a recent interview to the ltalian Goldrake distributor which enlights the aspects of the
legal issue about Grendizer which are still blocking the home video release in the western countries; I left a
dedicated post about it at the beginning of February on the Forum if you are interested in details.
Hope it helps. Hey, I am honoured to have a jury member so skilled!!! Ah, this playful trail is really f unny
and interesting, I am enjoying sooooooo much!l!!!!!!

TTOTC: ovenworked DA asking for clarification
Tue Mar 25 03:24:35 2OO3

93.1 68. 1 .253
Well, dear participants, your DA is working away like mad during her coffee break to produce some
evidence to counter the Prosecutor General's excellent Act of Prosecution.
(l have pasted Pad 1 into Word, and am now busy "commenting" it ... the comments are taking up more
room than the margins allow, and I have only reached page 3/5 :-))
Before I move I post my preliminary comments, and move on to EVIDENCE 1, the Defense requires the
following clarification (one of many, by the way):
1. ls there any (textual) evidence in any of the versions known to this panel (everybody on the forum) that
confirms an official engagement between Actarus and Aphelie? Please provide dialogue excerpts and
exact scenes referred to.
2. ls ONE of the reasons for the Prosecution's disbelief in a LOVE affair between Actarus and
Vegalia/Rubina their belief that he was engaged and in love with Aphelie/Naida?
3. When the prosecution argues lhat ep.72 marks a return to the "adult story", does this refer to the shift in
the general narrative (away from the Alcor/Phenicia story-line the anime had focused on for a while)?
Thank you for clarifying this, my dear Prosecutor General.
Your DA
...
P.S.:-) The defense objects to insulting behaviour of the production team and treating Mr Araki's
contribution as "crap" (even though they might agree with some of its import)
P.P.S: I am basing my replies on your AoP, and not on your MSMM on ep.72 (last January), as I am
expecting that not everybody remembers all the details of your argument.

Dear DA and Jury and Judge and Public (The Clerk Of The Courl is out for dinner now ;-) ), here are
Prosecutor's answers to preliminary Advocate's questions about AoP:
QUESTION 1
"ls there any (textual) evidence in any of the versions known to this panel (everybody on the forum) that
confirms anoificialengagement between Actarus and Aphelie? Please provide dialogue excerpts and
exact scenes referred to."
Here is an extract from the ltalian edition.
When Actarus sees first Naida's face lightened by the raising sun his ltalians words are (l transla'te_word by
word directly in English for brevity): "Bui you...you are Naida! Naida, is it true, is this not a dream? Do you
recognise me, Naida? I am Duké Fleed!" "Duke Fleed?" "Yes, Duke Fleed. We get to know each other on
our Èlanet Fleed" "Oh yes, yes, you are Duke Fleed" "Naida, oh Naida, but don't you recognise me? I am
YOUR Duke Fleed (boid ishine-G)". She recognises him comparing histwo"aspects" in hermind justas
Alcor at the end of ep1, and starts to cry "Duke, Fleed, oh love, oh my love". Actarus replies "oh, my dear,
my dear Naida" and'runs to her. She runs to hi."n too replying "l have found you again" and after a couple of
"Naida" and "Duke Fleed" calls f rom each side, they fall in each other's arms. Aphelie goes on: "l gave up
hope to see you again" Actarus replies "Me too. I was worried you have been killed when cruel Vega's
forces destróyed our planet. I couldn't believe my eyes seeing you. I am happy''And Naida ends the scene
whispering "Otr my love" in his arms. So honestly I could see no space for any ambigu.ity in the ltalian
version. RnO t tinO atso interesting that from a direction perspective, when Actarus and Aphelie embrace
the scene is designed from long óistance and back lighting, like in old classic romantic movies. That's why
believe THEY (l riean not only Naida) were in love in Fleed. I SUPPOSE they were engaged (l wrote it
clearly it's an hypothesis in thé AoP), I never said it was an official enga.qqqgl] (as a matter of fact I tend to
excluóe it) but i'have no doubt about the fact that DUKE FLEED WAS lN LOVE WITH NAIDA WHEN HE
I
LIVED IN FLEED.
QUESTION 2
"ls ONE of the reasons for the Prosecution's disbelief in a LOVE affair between Actarus and
Vegalia/Rubina their belief that he was engaged and in love with Aphelie/Naida?"
Yes it is. I have not reproduced in the AoP the part of my old SMM dedicated to the visual evidences of
ep72, bul as a summary I consider the comparison of Actarus' behaviours and expressions in ep25 and
ep72'as the proof he haO no love affair going on with Rubina and instead he was in love with Naida when
he lived in Fleed.
QUESTION 3
"When the prosecution argues that ep72 marks a return to the "adult story", does this refer to the shift in
the general narrative (away f rom the Alcor/Phenicia story-line the anime had focused on for a while)?"
Absolutely.
Yours faithfully,
PG
"P.S. :-) The defence objects to insulting behaviour of the production team and treating Mr Araki's

contribution as "crap" (even though they might agree with some of its import)"
The Prosecution is sorry for her wording getting a wrong impression. I was talking about the scriptwriting
team involved in the anime during the Araki era (for more details please refer to my previous MM about
Miss Phenicia's introduction) and not to the design team skills.
"P.P.S: I am basing my replies on your AoP, and not on your MSMM on ep72 (last January), as I am
expecting that not everybody remembers all the details of your argument. "
I agree. That's why my AoP is made for the most part f rom a cut&paste operation from my previous SMM.

being the judge is sometimes hard!! But definitely here it's a pleasure!!
As th]e judge (well I try to keep my feet on the ground LOL), I considered this young attorney, Gerdha, trying
to convincé both the iury and'l of her true spiri[! She has stamina and obviously loves this affair! She 's
dedicated and even more accurate in what she tells. But there might be a flaw in this : could her view be
altered by the interest she feels for the possible love affair between lhis Actarus Duke Fleed and Venusia
Hikaru? óould there be a twisted connection between her democratic beliefs and the fact that a prince must
marry a princess, even if he has no feelings for her and is compelled to do so, for his country's sake?
Eveniuaily was a marriage between RubiÀa and Actarus so far-fetched, even though we had never heard
of her before? She was íar away indeed and obviously SHE was in love with him and ready to marry him!
He was not, why? Was it important after all? many arranged marriages happened in history and not only in
the richest iamiiies! These should be questions the members of the jury should ask to themselves!
Actarus was probably in love with Venusia? But was he really? Did he ever try to propose her or rather
didn't he consider her until the middle of the story as a young girl with a crazy infatuation for him, an older
guy?
Wóuld Actarus be true to himself and his true nature if he indulge himself by allowing himself to carry on a
relationship with someone he truly loves and forgetting about his origins, Euphor, and his duties, he's a
prince after all and she : a young girlfrom the countryside (l know I'm provocative, but everyone knows by
previous posts that I'm a Vànusiaian!!)? (l'm doing my job here and it's difficult!!!)
i do b"li"ue that despite allthe considerations possible here (even the most interesting ones), one must
never forget that Grendizer (hence Actarus) is a story (character) on sacrifice! sacrificing.our.own desires.
for the gèater good, for someone else etc. Eventualiy that's exactly whq! happens, the Fleeds flee! alone!
while the Terrans remain there hoping to see them again and maybe to live together again!
Sacrifice may be the solution to this trial and I would tit<e ttre attorneys (prosecutors) to concentrate on that
as well.
Sacrifice has always been a part of the Japanese psyche! Grendizer is Japanese and must have had a
pedagogic role forihe young viewersl They had to learn what sacrif ice meant in order to be the best at
school and obey to their parents or teachers!
This is a fundamental aspect of an anime. There has to be a lesson, hasn't it?

The Judge's comments on AoP
Wed Mar 26 01:46:44 2OO3
57.67.17.3
Dear Judge,
l-thank you for your your kind interest to PG's AoP. As I have communicated yesterday and today, an
Addendum to my AoP, which for brevity was created mainly though a collection of paragraphs f róm my
previous SMM, is under construction in order to better define my considerations about òp72. But as you
have already addressed the topic in your comments, I need to clarify an important assumption: my AoP
was mainly dedicated to Rubina & Duke Fleed's possible lovestory because up to now I have seen people
in this Forum taking the relationship for granted and considering the Vegalia's story as the core buslness of
the episode. As I have underlined in the premises of the AoP, I don't agree with thls view: not only I don't
think there was any lovestory ongoing between the two princes, but for me ep72 was not centered about
their whatever relationship either.
TTOTC is in regard oÎ ep72 AS A WHOLE and not about the lovestory (yes/no/maybe) only. But I decided
to concentrate my AoP particularly on this latter topic to address immediately what the majority of Grendizer
fan consider as the only matter of the episode. That's why I need an Addendum to be written ASAP: the
other Matrioske, and particularly Matrioska no3, are certainly required to be analysed in this trial. From MY
point of view of course, which is clearly influenced by my own personality (in the most extensive meaning
possible).
Of course I will keep your considerations and requests with the due respect to The Judge (actually, if you
could read my mind, you'd know I was going to approach my Addendum the same way you have pointed
out).
I am waiting for Act of Defence in order to define more clearly the approach I must apply to my Addendum.
With my deepest regards,
Gerdha
