Maytag® Equipped Laundry Stores Debut in North America
Turnkey Program Gains Marketplace Traction, Receives Positive Owner Reviews
ST. JOSEPH, Mich. (Feb. 1, 2013) — Since launching the Maytag® Equipped
Laundry in May, Maytag® Commercial Laundry is pleased to recognize seven of
the new branded laundries with additional stores on the way. The company
introduced the Maytag® Equipped Laundry concept store after recognizing the
market need for a well designed, aesthetically pleasing and branded store.
“The Maytag brand is the number one preferred and most recognized brand in
laundry,” said Randy Karn, national sales manager at Maytag® Commercial
Laundry. “We saw a void in the market and are now delivering a concise, well
developed concept store built on the 100-plus year equity of the Maytag brand.”
Completed Maytag® Equipped Laundries are open for business in:
• Salisbury, Pa.
• Lackawanna and Addison, N.Y.
• Haledon, N.J.
• Mississauga, Ont.
• Calera, Ala.
• Laurinburg, N.C.
In addition to the seven completed stores, another eight stores are scheduled to
be finished by the end of February.

support from my local distributor was exceptional and I’m already planning to
open additional stores,” said Scott Rider, owner of the Maytag® Equipped
Laundry in Lackawanna, N.Y. “My doors have been open since September and
I’m seeing enough of a revenue increase that I’m expanding my store’s services.”
