Botswana Delta Lodges
S
easonal flooding of the Okavanga River forms the game-rich Okavanga Delta which
together with the Moremi Game Reserve in the east earns this pristine land the title of one
of the Seven Natural Wonders of Africa. There are two distinct areas of the Okavango Delta
- the permanent floodplain with its many islands and the seasonal floodplain, which is flooded
annually and dries gradually with the onset of summer. A traditional dugout canoe or Mokoro is
the most fantastic way to experience the Delta.
