IT’S YOUR BODY-PAY ATTENTION TO IT!
Nobody needs to tell us we’re all we’ve got. When
we get older, we seem to have less and less of it.
Our bodies change. It takes longer to do anything.
It’s harder to do it, and it hurts more. I have this
issue, what is it? How do I keep what I have physically fit? Our minds seem to have to work harder.
What did I come in her for? I can’t remember
names as well as I use to, and it’s harder to recall
things. Then what when all is said and done?
These two sessions will help us listen to our bodies and to our minds. The more we listen, the
healthier we will be. Here is your chance to listen.

THE EARTH'S CLIMATE: PAST, PRESENT,
AND FUTURE
This four-part series of lectures and discussions will
focus on the fundamental processes that have generated and perpetuated our earthly atmosphere and climate, and how human activities may be changing the
dynamics of some of these processes. The series will
start with 1) a discussion of the basic atmospheric
processes that have created a habitable planet, and 2)
a discussion of the interaction between climate and
ecosystems, and then move to 3) an examination of
the ways in which human activities can affect climatic
processes and ecosystems, and 4) a consideration of
feasible ways in which humans can reduce their adverse effects on fundamental climatic processes. The
emphasis of these sessions will be on examination of
fundamentals that can be used by participants to guide
their personal assessments of the issue of climate
change. Led by Dr. David M. Bell

CARE PACKAGES FOR SOLDIERS
Do you want to do something to help our soldiers
serving overseas? We send packages to our troops
on a regular basis, not just during the holidays. If possible items should be fragrance free, no pork products,
no perishables, glass or crushable items. Think of
items useful and easily packable! Short list of suggested items that we are often in need of to send our
troops: Disposable cameras, snacks & candy
(individually wrapped), drink mixes to be mixed in water, peanut butter & crackers, sunscreen, toiletries,
razors, AA batteries, sanitizers & wipes, personal care
items, and personal notes! Personal notes to our
soldiers from adults or school children are always
needed and really boost their morale, letting them
know that the people back home support them! Please
do not date them. Monetary donations are gladly
accepted if you wish to help defray the costs of
shipping or to buy any other needed items. Each
box we send currently costs about $16.00. Let us
know if you would like a tax deductible receipt as we
are a Charitable 501(c)(3). Checks can be made to
Support the Troops Inc. If you know of anyone currently serving overseas, especially from our local
area, contact us with their full name and address and
how long they will be serving at that address and, if
possible, any other information. We will gladly add
them to our list to send them a care package. Thank
you!
