ABOUT 20 YEARS AGO, A SCANDINAVIAN LABEL RELEASED THE ORIGINAL
„CITY LIGHTS“ SERIES. THIS SET CONTAINED 11 DISCS OF PREVIOUSLY UNKNOWN SOUNDBOARD RECORDINGS, COVERING ALL OF PRINCE’S TOURS UP
UNTIL 1986. THAT RELEASE BECAME AN INSTANT CLASSIC. HOWEVER, IT WAS
PLAGUED BY SOME ANNOYING FLAWS, SOUND GAPS, POOR MASTERING, SEMIFILLED DISCS, MINIMALISTIC ARTWORK WITH NO LINER NOTES AT ALL ETC.
SABOTAGE RECORDS HAVE CAREFULLY REVISED ALL THOSE SHOWS, ADDING
MANY OTHER ONE-OF-A-KIND RARITIES FROM THOSE SAME YEARS ALONG
THE WAY. MOST OF THIS STUFF HAS NEVER BEEN RELEASED ON SAB BEFORE.
