MEETING NOTES
Five new members joined on March 1st bringing our
roster to 96 paid members for 2016. We had 55 members
and guests present .
The Minutes from the February Meeting and Financial Report for March were approved.
The March 1st meeting was an apparent success. The
concept of having four stations to discuss tackle boxes,
rods and reel and leaders and bobbers was well received.
The station leaders: Captain Matt Morrison, Member
George Bodmer, Captain Rafa Russo and Member John
“Carm” Carman did an excellent job of providing key information to those in attendance.
The club is looking at conducting some future meetings
that will cover four of the species of fish caught in Tampa
Bay. We tackle also be looking at techniques of fishing
from various venues: Skyway Fishing Pier, Wading, Fort
DeSoto, etc. Members’ ideas on these type of formats
are welcomed and should be discussed with the Program
Committee or mailed to our club email address.

was solicited from the membership to authorize the expenditure of up to $260 to purchase lanyards, badge holders and name badge inserts. A motion was offered and
seconded and passed with out objection. These items will
be available tor members at the April meeting.
We an can expect to hear some great stories and
bragging rights from the 4 who went to Coast Rica and
caught 40 sailfish and a few rooster fish in 3days!

Dave Harris shows off his pool winning hog fish from the
March 9th fishing trip. It was a rough day to say the least
but several species came over the rails including red and
gag grouper, flounder, Key West snapper, porgies and
black sea bass. We put 3.5 lbs. aside for a fish fry.
