The banking city of Frankfurt is the financial capital of continental Europe, hosting Europe’s third largest airport and is headquarters to the European Central Bank. Frankfurt continues to grow and is now bursting at the seams. Over 10,000 young people from Germany and around the world study at its many universities. Frankfurt is also very much a part of the state of Hesse where, for example, a banker who has moved to the city from France could live next door to a painter and decorator born and brought-up in the city. The centre of Frankfurt is compact and boasts a distinct city centre. In summary: Frankfurt is international, hip and trendy, without ever having lost its own particular character. 5 Walther-von-Cronberg-Platz Shops in the office and retail property Colosseo View of the new European Central Bank (ECB) Cycling along the tree-lined banks of the River Main Terrace on the Main Plaza Fountains on Walther-von-Cronberg-Platz Playpark with a view of the ECB Breakfast in the café in the neighbourhood Main Plaza and Colosseo Kurt-Schumache r-S Dom/Römer U INNENSTADT Willy-BrandtPlatz U ai Maink Schöne Aus sicht S a em onn tr nns a ße European Central Bank new-build senhäuser Ufer Sach ain rm e t Un i ka M E US UM Elis a ER kai ai n m au Sch F SU olb r-K e t l Wa Sachsenhausen – Cider and Much More Ga aß e s tr n e rt -St e raß be the nst r ALT SACHSENHAUSEN Walther-vonCronberg-Platz a rstr ße errnufer Zum Lau renburge r Hof Lokalbahnhof U Südbahnhof Frankfurt-Sachsenhausen is not just known as Germany’s cider capital, but also as the southern district of Frankfurt City Centre, characterised by a healthy mix of residential, commercial and leisure uses. People from all around the world live here. Stretching along the River Main is the Museumsufer with its 13 neighbouring museums such as the Städel Museum, German Film Museum, Liebighaus, Museum for Applied Arts and the Museum of World Culture. Every year in August, hundreds of thousands of visitors enjoy the Museumsufer festival, which is renowned beyond Frankfurt’s city limits. Sachsenhausen is also ideal for strolling and shopping, with a wide selection of local and traditional specialist shops, from butchers, bakeries, cheese shops, vintners and drug stores to the cider bars and fashionable Italian restaurants; i.e. there are plenty of places to shop and eat. There are regular Tuesday and Friday markets at the Südbahnhof railway station and on Ziegelhüttenplatz on Saturdays. ‘Hibbdebach und Dribbdebach’ are two geographical terms in the Frankfurt dialect. Translated they mean: this side and the other side of the river. Sachsenhausen lies in ‘Dribbdebach’. This district has already seen the development of some 1,500 apartments for 2,500 residents and around 1,200 new jobs created in retail, restaurants, offices and medical practices. The main meeting point and centre of public life is now Walter-vonCronberg-Platz. Clientele in the neighbouring cafés, restaurants and ice cream parlours enjoy the computer-controlled fountains, and trendy residents meet here for an early evening drink. A number of photographs of the immediate neighbourhood around the Main-Arkaden are shown opposite. 7 Main-Arkaden – Exclusive Living in a Stylish Building Main-Arkaden was designed by the renowned Frankfurt architect Jo. Franzke Architekten, which sets the highest standards in its concepts: ‘Buildings that satisfy the three key Vitruvian architectural theory categories: strength, functionality and elegance meet value standards. Our primary goal is to meet this challenge and achieve the perfect balance of function, construction and form.’ Living in Main-Arkaden means that you will reside in a wonderful building with colonnades, located just a stone’s throw from the River Main. After completion, around 200 people will move into a variety of studio to 5-room apartments. The exclusive rental apartments comprise eight town houses on the ground and first floors with individual entrances under the colonnades; as well as terraces, some have balconies. In the upper floors there are ten penthouse apartments with spacious roof terraces. The highlight is the top floor comprising two exclusive 5-room duplex apartments. Apartment sizes range from 27 sqm to 180 sqm, clear ceiling heights are up to 2.75m and there are individual barrier-free apartments. There are also 111 parking spaces in the underground garage for the tenants use, and the lifts run from there to the penthouse floors. Landscaped areas in the inner courtyard create a garden ambience. Main-Arkaden is an exponent of ecologically sustainable construction with the benefit of KfW-70 energy performance standards. This is good for the environment and tenants’ wallets too, as it also helps to keep service charges under control. 9 2-room apartment 96.44 sqm residential area Sixth floor Residential area Living / Dining / Kitchen 41.02 sqm Bedroom 16.80 sqm Bathroom 5.02 sqm Hall Storeroom Roof terrace (gross area) 10 Balcony (gross area) 12.56 sqm 4.02 sqm 31.52 sqm 6.56 sqm Floor Plans – For Single People and Families Just a few examples from the selection Studio apartment 48.33 sqm residential area Second floor Residential area Living / Dining / Kitchen 37.24 sqm Bathroom 5.87 sqm Storeroom 3.05 sqm Balcony (gross area) 4.33 sqm 11 4-room apartment 115.65 sqm residential area Ground floor Residential area 12 Living / Dining / Kitchen 26.71 sqm Bedroom 21.73 sqm Room 1 11.80 sqm Room 2 11.21 sqm Bathroom 6.05 sqm Shower / WC 5.93 sqm Hall 1 10.20 sqm Hall 2 2.84 sqm Storeroom 2.78 sqm Porch 2.00 sqm Terrace (gross area) 4.33 sqm 3-room apartment 106.72 sqm residential area First floor Residential area Living / Dining / Kitchen 40.70 sqm Bedroom 18.89 sqm Room 16.53 sqm Bathroom 6.22 sqm Shower / WC 4.83 sqm Hall 10.38 sqm Storeroom 5.14 sqm Balcony (gross area) 8.06 sqm 13 5-room apartment 181.40 sqm residential area Fifth and sixth floors Residential area 6th floor 14 5th floor Living / Dining / Kitchen 53.32 sqm Bedroom 18.34 sqm Room 1 15.73 sqm Room 2 13.54 sqm Room 3 17.26 sqm Bathroom 6.11 sqm Shower / WC 1 5.97 sqm WC 2 3.28 sqm Hall 1 13.29 sqm Hall 2 11.11 sqm Storeroom 1 1.30 sqm Storeroom 2 3.63 sqm Loggia (gross area) 5.66 sqm Balcony 1 (gross area) 3.28 sqm Balcony 2 (gross area) 3.28 sqm Roof terrace (gross area) 31.87 sqm Ground floor 4-room apartment 154.65 sqm residential area Ground floor and first floor Residential area Living / Dining / Kitchen 43.18 sqm Bedroom 24.78 sqm Room 1 20.48 sqm Room 2 20.34 sqm Bathroom 6.61 sqm Shower / WC 1 5.41 sqm WC 2 3.07 sqm Hall 9.23 sqm Storeroom 1 4.56 sqm Storeroom 2 2.36 sqm Porch 4.47 sqm Terrace (gross area) 20.32 sqm 1st floor Fitout Highlights – High Specification Down to the Last Detail Main-Arkaden is not just an apartment building, but also a place of enjoyment which offers a feeling of well-being.
