RD SPACE / RISING DESIGNER 시대적 맥락을 읽어낸 지중해식 건축 PAZGERSH Architecture + Design 취재 김민자 2005년 설립된 PAZGERSH Architecture + Design은 창립자인 Sharon Paz Gersh와 Zvi Gersh를 주축으로 여섯 명의 건축가로 구성되며, 건축 및 디자인을 이끄는 구획된 파사드는 단조롭지 않은 구성을 나타낸다. 184 탁 트인 전면창을 설계해 수영장 너머 조성된 정원까지 시원하게 조망할 수 있도록 한다. 넓은 창을 통해 따스한 햇볕을 고스란히 전하는 Mediterranean Villa는 그 이름처럼 설계 과정에서 지중해식 건축 양식을 십분 반영한 것이 특징인데, 건 축가는 빌라 내 수영장을 감싸는 모양새를 취한 L자형 의 빌라와 이에 따른 3개의 정원을 디자인했다. 먼저, 직사각 형태의 매스를 직각으로 교차시킨 파사드 RD 는 이상적인 디자인을 형성하는 정확한 비율에 따라 완 성되었으며, 수직 혹은 수평적 방향을 강조한 유리창과 깔끔한 화이트 컬러를 더해 모던한 인상을 자아낸다. 특히 탁 트인 전면창을 설계한 1층과 달리 세로 방향으 로 긴 형태의 목재 루버를 일정한 간격으로 설치한 2층 PAZGERSH Architecture + Design Archite PAZGERSH Architecture + Design PAZGERSH Archite 은 햇빛을 여과시키는 역할을 하는PAZGERSH 동시에 다이내믹한 cture + Design PAZGERSH Architecture + Design PAZ GERSH부여한다. RD 프라이빗한 분위기를 강조한 침실을 2층에 두면서 각각의 기능을 적절히 분리시킨 것이 특징이다.
