Green’n’Clean
In 2006/7 Yourope launched environmental guidelines for music festivals. The original
printed booklet “Green‘n‘Clean“ has been supplemented by a new online tool,
providing festival organisers with customised environmental advice plus a
“Green‘n‘Clean Award” for festivals who achieve a defined number of criteria in
terms of environmental measures.
So far, the following 25 Yourope members have achieved the necessary standards and
have received the “Green‘n‘Clean Award”.

In September 2009, Yourope co-promoted the 2nd seminar for “Sustainable
Management” at Bucks New University in cooperation with agreenerfestival.com,
Julie’s Bicycle and Theresa Moore from Bucks New University. Yourope members who
participate in these seminars get special discounts. On November 2/3, 2010 Yourope
is event partner with/for the Green Events Conference in Bonn / Germany which
includes several interesting panels and workshops for environmental work at events.

during the year: one in the Netherlands at the Eurosonic
Noorderslag Festival in January and one in London at the
General Assembly during the ILMC in March. Besides that,
Yourope members benefit from special deals and invitations
to other members‘festivals and conferences throughout Europe.
Yourope also operates an ‘Associated Members’ scheme
for companies working within the European festival scene,
enabling them to contribute to the industry and collaborate
with festival promoters.
