WARNING: Sharpening can be hazardous. Please always use protective eye wear when using this tool. Do not sharpen near
flammable materials as small sparks are emitted during sharpening. Ceramic blades CANNOT be sharpened. Please do not
attempt sharpening your ceramic blades with this sharpener.
PLEASE NOTE: It is normal for this sharpener to vibrate and make noise during the sharpening process.
Blade Sharpening Instructions:
1. Begin by removing the blade assembly from the clipper. Unscrew the screws holding the blades in place so you are able to
separate them.
2. Using rubbing alcohol, completely clean the blades before use. Dirty blades will ruin the diamond pad on this sharpener.
3. With the teeth facing down, place the blade on a flat surface and attach the magnetic edge of the blade adapter to its back.
4. You will not need the honing guide to sharpen blades, so remove it prior to turning on the sharpener.
5. To prevent damaging the blade's teeth, place it down on the sharpener with the rear edge touching before the front
(cutting) edge.
6. Rest the blade on the pad and slowly and lightly move it around in a circular motion. You do not need to apply pressure.
Ensure the cutting tips remain on the pad for a uniform finish.
7. If the blade has not been recently sharpened, the sharpening process will take longer than usual. Typical sharpening time is
between 5 and 10 seconds. You will see a shiny finish across the cutting surface when sharpening is complete.
8. Repeat this process for all blades that require sharpening (we suggest testing and reassembling one blade at a time to ensure
that the blade is sharpened to desired sharpness).
9. Always oil your blades AFTER they have been sharpened, and then reassemble your clipper by following the instructions
provided by the manufacturer. Ensure blades are properly aligned before using the clipper.
Shears Instructions:
1. The honing guide on this sharpener is adjustable so that you can easily sharpen your shears. Hold the blade against the
guide angle to determine each blade's proper setting.
2. Once the honing guide is set, turn on the sharpener. Separating your shears into two individual blades makes the sharpening
process easier.
3. Hold the first blade against the outside surface using the honing guide. Using slight pressure, glide the blade its full length
along the sharpening surface. Avoid using too much pressure.
4. To ensure your shears are sharp, you will want to repeat this process a few times.

This Master Grooming Tools™ SharpPro Sharpener is warranted against defective material or workmanship for one year from the
date of purchase. Any Master Grooming Tools™ product that is determined to be defective in material or workmanship during the
warranty period will be replaced without cost to the purchaser for parts or labor. Please contact PetEdge Customer Service at
1-800-638-5754 regarding any defective product. PetEdge will not be liable under this warranty for any defect, failure or
malfunction of this product caused by normal wear, abuse, misuse, unauthorized adjustments or repairs. PetEdge will not be liable
for any incidental or consequential damages of any type. Any implied warranty is limited to the one-year period provided in this
express warranty. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts or exclusion or limitation of incidental
