UPCOMING HOLIDAYS:
Lent is early this year
and after Christmas
time, Septuagesima
seems short.
!It is good to see a
fasting time between
the Christmas and
Easter tide, it
replenishes us in its
own way and makes
the enjoyment of the
two most important
festivities of the year
even more beautiful.
After the festivities
of Valentines Day,
Mardi Gras and
Shrove Tuesday, we
are entering Lent.
true wonders of our
liturgical year.
!Enjoy your Lenten
time and celebrate the
opportunity of having

Winter Verse
!
Winter is a time for reflection. For
Christians Winter symbolizes Hope: it
reminds us of our own mortality, but we
hope in our resurrection because of the
Resurrection of our Lord Jesus.
"Praise the Lord, O Jerusalem: praise thy God, O Sion. Who giveth snow like wool: scattereth mists like ashes. He sendeth his crystal like morsels: who shall stand before the face of his cold?”
Psalm 147:12, 16-17

“LET US SEE YOUR KINDNESS”
In Psalm 85 we pray, “O God, let us see your
kindness.” During our day of prayer we will
reflect upon the theme of kindness, which the
Talmud calls the highest form of wisdom.
