Volume 2, Issue 6 February Preparations UPCOMING HOLIDAYS: Lent is early this year and after Christmas time, Septuagesima seems short. !It is good to see a fasting time between the Christmas and Easter tide, it replenishes us in its own way and makes the enjoyment of the two most important festivities of the year even more beautiful. After the festivities of Valentines Day, Mardi Gras and Shrove Tuesday, we are entering Lent. true wonders of our liturgical year. !Enjoy your Lenten time and celebrate the opportunity of having less! Winter is a time for reflection. For Christians Winter symbolizes Hope: it reminds us of our own mortality, but we hope in our resurrection because of the Resurrection of our Lord Jesus.
