Block Party Trailer Guidelines
Effective 3/1/14
Purpose of the Trailer: To provide resources for outreach events for SWIBA churches. This trailer is not to
be rented, transferred, or loaned out to any other individual or group while it is in the possession of an
individual church.
Guidelines:
1. The trailer and/or equipment is to be reserved at least one week prior to the expected date of pick up from
SWIBA. The trailer and/or equipment cannot be reserved more than one year in advance of intended use. A
church may not reserve the trailer for more than one week in any month without special permission from the
Missions Committee. Beginning April 1, 2014, a $75 deposit must be received at the SWIBA office before
the trailer will be released from SWIBA property.
2. The trailer will come stocked with enough supplies to serve 200 people. Additional supplies can be purchased
separately.
3. When the trailer and all equipment is returned to SWIBA, cleaned and in good condition and on the agreed
upon return date, $25 of the $75 deposit will be refunded to the church. If the trailer and equipment are not
returned cleaned and in good condition, the entire $75 deposit will be kept to clean and repair the damages.
4. A towing vehicle which is capable of receiving a 2 5/16” ball and which is equipped with an electric brake
control is required to tow the trailer.
5. The trailer must be picked up at the SWIBA Office and returned there to be locked up in the Disaster Relief
Barn during the regular operating hours of Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-3:00 PM. While it is not locked up in
the Barn, the church assumes all financial risks for the trailer and its equipment.
6. The trailer must be secured in a safe place while on the ministry site and must be kept locked while not in use.
7. When the trailer is parked and disconnected from the tow vehicle, tire chocks must be chocked in front and
back of the tires. A stabilizing device may be needed at the rear of the trailer when it is in use and
disconnected from towing vehicle.
8. The Popcorn, Cotton Candy, and Sno Cone Machines may be borrowed individually, apart from the trailer for
a deposit of $25 per machine. When the machine is returned in good working order, clean and on time, $15
will be returned to the church. If the machine is damaged or dirty, the entire $25 deposit will be kept by
SWIBA. Please take special care as it is easier for machines to be damaged when they are removed from the
trailer. Each machine will come stocked with supplies for 200 people. Additional supplies can be purchased
separately.
