Situated on 56 acres, we offer large, well-maintained pastures, a
72’ x 220’ indoor arena with stone dust and rubber footing, two
large outdoor rings and ample cross-country riding. Owner/
Trainer Barbara Kohr’s home is 200 feet from the stable so
customers are assured of 24/7 coverage.
Trainer Barbara Kohr has personally trained and shown hunters at
the highest levels, qualifying and competing at Devon,
Pennsylvania National, Washington International and National
Horse Shows as well as top year-end accomplishments over the
past 30 years. Each rider and horse’s program is tailored to meet
their individual goals from qualifying for championships,
competing at horse shows or solely personal improvement.
Admittedly, “point chasing” for year-end awards is not a priority
nor encouraged. Earning these awards is viewed as an added
bonus to personal accomplishments throughout the entire
season. Horses are family at Halcyon and their well-being comes
before anything else.
