Glen Rose has always offered a great getaway as a family
destination and “Dinosaur Capital of Texas,” but now, Glen
Rose is also becoming known for its many outdoor recreational
opportunities. For the mountain biking enthusiast, Solavaca
Ranch is now open with miles of mountain biking trails over
beautiful limestone hills and a variety of riding opportunities
from ranch roads to single-track trails for the more serious
riders.
Long known for some of the best-preserved dinosaur tracks in
the United States, Dinosaur Valley State Park Offers a variety
of hills and challenges for the beginning or seasoned mountain
bike rider. Fossil Rim Wildlife Center offers “Bike the Rim” on
a monthly basis. With guided mountain bike tours through
their Intensive Management Area, riders have the opportunity
to bike within five fee of a 2,000 lb. rhino, see wolves hiding in
bushes or be stalked by cheetahs, safely of course. There are
tour options for all skill levels and more information can be

Dinosaur Valley State Park

world. The fossilized trackways
provide clues to the habits of the
Sauropods and Theropods. Other

Dinosaur World is the states

based on the life of Christ and is

Fossil Rim Wildlife Center
Celebrating its 30th anniversary, Fossil Rim Wildlife
Center is one of the premier wildlife preserves in the
world. Covering almost 1,700 acres, Fossil Rim is home
to more than 1,000 animals, representing 50 species of
native and non-native animals. Fossil Rim offers
leisurely drive-thru and behind the scenes tours. Enjoy
