This year at the Azalea Festival the FFA Boosters will have a booth where you can come by and talk to parents and students who are involved in the Ag Department and Booster Club. We will be selling chances for a Ladies Spa Pampering basket. The Annual Steak Dinner & Auction will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2013 at 6:00 p.m. in the Jasper High School gym. The FFA kids are busy securing items for the auction, but we also need help from businesses, individuals or anyone that is interested in helping these kids. Auctions items are needed and the funds raised from this event will be used to help with scholarships and supplies that the students need. Thank you for helping support our students. After learning of his winnings of a $500 shopping spree he asked if this money could be donated to local charities. The Chamber Board of Directors then chose 3 organizations to split the money, East Texas Pregnancy Help Center, Jasper SHARE and the Jasper County Child Welfare Board/Rainbow Room. Each charity got a part of the $500 to help with whatever they need to keep doing their good work in the Jasper community. We get requests all the time for “gimmie” items to put into bags for family reunions, health fairs, tourism groups, etc. At this point we are running low on these items and could use some things to stock up our inventory of “gimmie” items. If you would like to get your business name into the hands of visitors and new residents then please bring your items to the Chamber office. If you have any questions please feel free to give us a call, (409)384-2762, stop by or shoot us an email, [email protected].
