Skuttle’s MERV 8 high-efficiency filter media
will capture and hold 84.9% of airborne
contaminants and pollutants ranging between
3.0 and 10.0 microns in size. A single human
hair ranges from 20.0 to 40.0 microns.
Most homeowners will find MERV 8 filtration
to be highly effective. However, people
who suffer from allergies, asthma and other
respiratory conditions will be more comfortable
with MERV 11 filtration. MERV 11 media
provides superior dust control, trapping
particles as small as 1.0 to 3.0 microns.
