SAME Dorado tractors offer a wide
variety of preparations, high comfort and
cutting-edge solutions to best address all
types of work: from the Dorado 56, the
smallest of the range, ideal for carrying out
a multitude of farm jobs with maximum
productivity, to the powerful Dorado 86,
designed for more demanding work,
thanks to the high efficiency at the P.T.O.
The availability of 2WD and 4WD versions,
either open or with cab, makes the range
ideal for use on small and medium-size
farms, even in hilly or mountain areas,
where the Dorado can easily carry out
any kind of work. With new engines and
featuring a modern and attractive look,
Dorado tractors combine power and easy
handling, to best carry out all operations:
from preparing the ground to the
protection of crops, hay harvesting, farm
duties and rapid transport.
Low cab height, which in the standard
preparation does not exceed 2.40 m,
allows access even inside sheds and farm
buildings with limited headroom. The short
wheelbase and the optimal steering angle
of 55° for the 4WD versions (70° for 2WD),
guarantee excellent handling in narrow
farm spaces and in the most limited
headlands.
The low weight/power ratio makes the
Dorado range ideal also in open field work
between rows of trees.

MODERN EURO II 1000 Series 3 and 4-cylinder engines
SAME Dorado tractors, equipped with
the new Euro II 1000 Series 3 and
4-cylinders engines, offer outstanding
performance thanks to the rated engine
speed of only 2200 rpm, with max.
power constant up to 2000 rpm, high
max. torque (up to 348 Nm from 1400 to
1600 rpm) and a considerable increase
in torque (up to 31%), guaranteeing
high power for a wide rpm range,
good flexibility and instant response to
changes in load.
If the going gets unexpectedly tough, the
Dorado has a ready answer in the form
of Overboost*. All you need is a quick
jab on the accelerator to get an extra
10 % torque for as long as you need
to overcome the obstacle. Overvboost
is unique in this class of tractor, and
guarantees safer, smoother ploughing,
better productivity and driver comfort,
and far fewer last minute gear changes.
As well as further improving the control
of fuel injection, the electronic control
allows engine speed to be kept constant
with change in load. Particularly useful
functions for end of field operations or
for work requiring constant P.T.O. and
forward movement speed.

EFFICIENCY, high VERSATILITY
and total comfort
Efficiency and versatility are the two most
outstanding characteristics of the Same
Dorado. The Dorado’s transmission can
be equipped with up to 3 range boxes
(with creeper), and a 5-speed gearbox
with 3 powershift ratios. That gives a total
of 45 forward and 45 reverse gears, so
you can always find the perfect gear for
the job. Then there is Overspeed too, so
you can reach 40 km/h even at economy
engine speed. The system also features
an innovative hydraulic power shuttle with
two long-life, multi-disc, oil-bath clutches,
one for each direction of travel. The shuttle
can be used at speeds up to 10 km/h, and
guarantees rapid but silky smooth direction
changes, thanks to a speed sensor with
high-tech, integrated electronics.
And that’s not all! SAME has introduced
another major step forward in tractor
technology, the Stop&Go system. This
intelligent and extremely practical system
allows you to stop briefly just by pressing
the brake pedal, without having to mess
around with the shuttle lever or even press
the clutch. As soon as you release the brake
pedal, you move off again. Stop&Go is
extremely useful in front loader operations
and in direction changes on slopes,
for example. Its many benefits include
unrivalled manoeuvring speed, enhanced
operational safety, improved reliability
and extended clutch life, and a significant
increase in comfort and productivity.
The electro-hydraulic rear PTO offers a
choice of speeds (540, 540 ECON, and 1000
rpm), enabling the Dorado to operate all
sorts of implements easily, economically,
and ergonomically.
There is even a synchro PTO to power
driven axle trailers.
The Dorado guarantees super-safe braking,
thanks to an all-wheel hydrostatic braking
system that is more than capable of
stopping the tractor quickly and efficiently,
even on slopes and carrying large
implements.

SAME Dorado tractors offer a complete
range of optional equipment to suit any
application.
The hydraulic system provides for a specific
54 l/min. pump for the strong power-lift
(up to 3600 kg) and for the auxiliary 6-way
control valves, allowing full use of all the
hydraulic command and control equipment.
Comfort and performance are at hand with
the option of electronic linkage control.
The power steering is equipped with
an independent pump that guarantees
excellent tractor handling even at the low
engine speeds typical of farm work.
And for those needing to use front
equipment, there is the front power-lift (up
to 1750 kg) and the front P.T.O. (1000 rpm).

Superior class COMFORT
For SAME, the concept of comfort is always
a top priority, in every power class.
Therefore the open and cab versions of
the Dorado range are designed to make
work comfortable and pleasant, so that
the operator can always fully exploit the
tractor’s potential.
The cab’s efficient soundproofing helps
create a comfortable and stress-free work
environment. In the open versions, good
acoustic comfort is in any case guaranteed
thanks to the polycarbonate deflectors and
the bulkhead located between the engine
and the driver’s seat.
All the controls are arranged in a logical and
rational way and grouped in a comfortable
and handy position on the right side of the
driver. An easy to read and see dashboard
offers all the instruments necessary for
ensuring total control of tractor operation
and the work carried out.
Dorado tractors offer car like comfort: airsuspension driver’s seat, electrohydraulic
controls, original soundproofed and
pressurized cab, equipped with an efficient
air-conditioning system and numerous air
vents.
For applications with front equipment there
is the “high visibility” roof, offering total
visibility of the entire work area.
A new concept of power, handling and
agility, making Dorados real multipurpose
tractors: ideal workmates in all situations.
