At Dogskin Lake Lodge and Outposts, our family has created one of the
premier Canadian fly-in fishing destinations. Our philosophy has always
been to provide our guests with the highest levels of service, modern
equipment, superior accommodations and to let the spectacular walleye
and northern pike fishing speak for itself. As both the owners and operators
of Dogskin, we work hard to ensure every guest has the trip of a lifetime.
Over the years we have built up the Lodge and Outposts to accommodate
a wide variety of exciting trips. Whether you are interested in our American
Plan Lodge on Dogskin Lake or a modern solar-powered camp at Noname,
Mannifrank and Black, you can rest assured that your first trip to Dogskin

things a little differently. Growing up fishing and hunting, taking yearly trips
to Canada and spending many hours with other sportsmen have shaped our

Located 180 miles Northeast of Winnipeg, Manitoba and 78 miles

Northwest of Red Lake, Ontario, Dogskin Lake Lodge and Outposts
lies in the heart of the protected Atikaki Provincial Wilderness Park.
Our remote location in the pristine Atikaki means that our Lodge
and Outposts are only accessible by float planes. This is a fact that

Guests of our American Plan Lodge have access to numerous bodies
of water for their fishing enjoyment. Not only can you fish Dogskin
Lake and several connected lakes, you can also explore additional
fisheries with short portages to the provided boats and motors.
At Dogskin Lake, you’ll admire the newly built private cabins, the
spacious main Lodge and the high quality Lund boats with quiet and
reliable 4-stroke 15 Hp motors.

A Day at The Lodge
Your day starts with a relaxing hot shower in your private cabin.
The smell
of fresh coffee guides your senses up the boardwalk to the beautiful Lodge
dining room where our chef is preparing a hearty breakfast. Later, as you
grab a cooler with some snacks and beverages from our store, you pick up
some tips about the current hotspots from our friendly and knowledgeable
staff. With your 16’ Lund clean and full of gas, you head out for a great day
of fishing.
Late in the morning a staff member pulls alongside your boat to pick up
your fresh catch of walleye to be prepared at our daily shore lunch. Or, if
you would rather, we can provide you with a kit, complete with everything
needed for a great-tasting meal at one of our private areas. As you enjoy
the unforgettable taste of fresh walleye you trade stories about the big one
that got away and the ones that didn’t.
After another full afternoon of fishing you come back to the Lodge and
relax before your evening meal. But don’t fill up on the homemade soup,
salads and excellent main dish - save some room for a desert topped with
our famous freshly made Hog ‘n Dogskin ice cream!

What separates Dogskin’s lakes is that
we’re located in Manitoba’s oldest
Wilderness Park. When combined
with our remoteness, this has allowed
the land around Dogskin to remain
pristine, completely removed from any commercial fishing or logging operations, and
will remain that way forever thanks to the strict protection of the park.
High Quality Fish Management
When we bought Dogskin Lake Lodge and our outposts years ago,
we were on the leading edge of conservation when we instituted
a voluntary High Quality Fish Management Program. With the
success of this program, we have seen an increase in both the
quality and quantity of fish on our lakes. In addition, each year we
release many Manitoba Master Angler walleye (28” - 10 lb. class)
and northern pike (41” - 20 lb. class). Our program has served to not only help
preserve, but also improve upon one of Canada’s top resources. It is part of the
reason why over 90% of our guests come back to Dogskin for more fishing adventure!

Large and Corporate Groups
Dogskin Lake a hosts many large private and corporate outings each year. Our
facility is a great place to get away for some team-building time for a small
group, to host continuing education in our spacious Lodge, or for just a fantastic
family reunion. We have the capability to comfortably host groups over forty
people. In addition, if you have a group of 24 or more, you can have the entire
Lodge to yourself (if available). Whether guests are experienced fisherman or
first-timers, you can be assured that everyone will have a great time. Give us

Dogskin Outposts
Dogskin offers exceptional outposts located on lakes where we have the
only outfitting rights, deep in the Eastern Manitoba bush. Each lake has
only one cabin and you can be assured that you are only one of a small
number of people that fish the lake every year. Whether you are interested
in bringing up longtime friends, are part of a corporate group, or a family
taking an annual fishing vacation, we are certain that we will provide you
with a high-quality, stress-free fishing trip.
Our modern camps feature solar power, hot/cold running water, showers,
refrigerator/freezer, electric lights and three-season porches. Satellite phones
are also installed at the camps. The solar systems charge large battery banks,
providing uninterrupted power for our guests. In addition, each camp has
a separate building that has a place to clean your fish and store your gear.
Trips to our outposts are available in three-, four- and seven-night packages.
They include all of the basics that your group needs for a successful fishing

Mannifrank Outpost
Mannifrank Lake is an outpost that was established in 1996 and first used
in 1997. This lake has outstanding fishing throughout the season, starting
with the trophy northern pike in late May through early July. The walleye
fishing turns on after the spawn - usually by the middle of May - and stays
hot for the rest of the year. Trophy walleyes are most often found on the
reefs starting in early July and will continue until the water starts cooling
down in late August. September has a return of some great northern pike
fishing combined with walleyes as well. For something different, you can
take a short walk to Withers lake and go out on this smaller body of water
with the boats and motors provided.
This is a modern outpost with solar power providing hot and cold running

Atikaki Provincial Park and is the only outfitter in the park with nonresident moose tags. Our exclusive 7000 acres of water at the lodge not
only provide spectacular fishing, but the 85 miles of shoreline and pristine
wilderness are prime habitat for moose. Combine the excellent animal
populations with our experienced guides, full American Plan lodge,
private cabins and excellent chef-prepared meals, we have no doubt that
you’ll enjoy the trip of lifetime.

What We Provide
For both Lodge and Outpost trips, we provide round trip
float plane transportation from our base in Silver Falls,
Manitoba to your destination camp. Our equipment
includes high quality boats and motors with swivel seats,
cushions, nets and your fuel. There is satellite phone
service available for your comfort and safety at the Lodge
and Outposts. Complimentary conservation licences
are included. Airport shuttle service for large and small
groups is available for an additional fee. For a complete

and we’ll do our best to accommodate you! Flights for all
destinations depart and return in the mornings.

Dogskin Lake Lodge began as a small outcamp during the 1950’s. Because
of its exceptional fishing, the demand for the lake soared and the original
lodge was constructed soon thereafter.
Over 50 years later, Dogskin Lake Lodge and Outposts still produce the
fast and furious fishing that attracted those early fisherman to this region
of Canada. However, within the past few years, Dogskin has taken on a
whole new look as every cabin has been rebuilt to satisfy the needs of
both serious fisherman and the recreational angler alike. Those who have
seen our transformation are most impressed, to say the least.
Getting to Dogskin Lake Lodge and Outposts is easier than most people
realize. You can reach our float plane base within a day’s drive from
almost anywhere in the Midwest. In addition, there are many commercial
