the end of winter…
To celebrate the end of the winter season, Val Thorens is
organising Les Apothéose Days, combining the best of skiing
and the best of atmospheres for each of you.
This new ‘made in Val Tho’ event gives you the chance to enjoy
a number of different experiences thanks to its melting pot of
activities, fun, sporty entertainment and high quality concert
evenings at the Sports Centre, which will be magically transformed
into a snowy mountaintop.
Apothéose Days is an event aimed at everyone: children, families,
teens, friends, ski-lovers, mountain-enthusiasts, skiers and nonskiers, holidaymakers and Val Thorens locals.
Sports, music, pleasure, conviviality
and originality are Apothéose
Days’ themes, all of which are to
be shared together over 9 days of
madness.

HIGH VOLTAGE (tribute to ACDC) • 5 musicians from the
Rhône-Alpes region came together a little over 4 years ago through a shared
passion: the biggest rock group in history: AC/DC. Aged between 42 and 50,
these 5 die-hard fans pay dedicated homage to Angus and co. in their live
shows. They’ve all knocked around on the national and international music
scene, and even had the luxury of getting in one of the best bassists in France,
in the form of Patrice GUERS himself.
SL@SH • 6 musicians / singers from a range of backgrounds have come
together for this covers project; their energy and motivation giving this dynamic
live project a surprising amount of oomph. 100% Pop Rock with: Adele, Selah
sue, Gotye, Aloe Black, Bernhoft, Rihanna, Guetta, Black Eyed Peas, Lmfao, Jessie J, Pink, Jamiroquai, Eminem, ACDC….

ECHOES (tribute to Pink Floyd) • A living homage to Pink Floyd! For the six
musicians in Echoes, making music is a real art, carried out to honour the fabulous back catalogue
of one of the most innovative and famous bands in the history of British psychedelic rock. From
their «Barrettian» beginnings, to the departure of Roger Waters after The Wall and The Final Cut,
Echoes combines sound and imagery for a musical journey through the magnificent heritage of
Pink Floyd’s music.
Patchwork • This show will take you on a journey through the history of rock and
pop over the last 50 years. Rediscover the rebel anthems of the 50s, the light melodies of the
60s, “Flower power”, the guitar riffs of the 70s, the powerful sounds of the 80s, right up to the
present day. Through their brilliant musical covers and authentic costumes, moves and stage
props, Patchwork bring the musical legends who left their stamp on the History of Rock to life:
Elvis Presley, the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Queen, AC/DC, U2, Lenny Kravitz, Red

The Excitements are a surprising group of musicians from Bar-
celona, who play raw, powerful Rhythm & Blues! Think Ike & Tina Turner, Etta
James, early James Brown… and you’ll have an idea of their sound. Whenever
they appear live, their name takes on different significance, from movement to joy,
pleasure to groove and emotions. This Spanish sextet are rekindling the sound of
the 60s, kept alive by the enchanting voice of their singer Koko-Jean Davis, a real
phenomenon on stage. Koko and her bandmates will bewitch us with tracks like
Nathaniel Mayer’s “From Now On”, Barbara Stephens’ “Wait a Minute” and Little
Richard’s “Never Let You Go”…
EXIT • As part of the Apothéose Days concerts, EXIT version II are offering
the best of Electro, Pop and Rock. The group’s 6 singers and dancers are no
strangers to audiences in Val Thorens, having performed live for 10 years at
Malaysia in various bands.

Projected onto a massive 8-metre by 6-metre screen, the funky
flipper completely immerses you into the world of Pinball.

released, create a sense of fast acceleration and a feeling of weightlessness.

Measure your downhill skiing speed and try to beat your own record.
World monoski speed record holder Xavier Cousseau will be introducing participants to speed skiing. His advice will help you progress and
reach speeds of over 80, 90 or 100 km/h.
End on a high note, or end up in the water! The Waterslide lets
participants ski or snowboard across without any risk of falling.
Daredevils wishing to take part and those who just want to watch
should meet at the bottom of the Yannick Richard Stadium.

SM (electro) • Formed in Montpellier in 2004, SM are an electro-rock duo whose
music is tinged with pop and dance. Their first album “Movement” came out in 2006. Since
then, they’ve toured venues and festivals, sharing the bill with groups such as hiligh tribe,
shakaponk, yuksek, hocus pocus, fishbone…. SM are currently recording their second album,
which is due to be released in the autumn.
Les PartyMakers - Folie Douce • When the slopes are
closed, Les PartyMakers light up Val Tho’s mountaintops with DJ LYRICS, setting the
mood with his funky deep house sound, accompanied by the jazzy feel of FABOU or
LAURENT AUDINOS on the sax. Perfecting this musical cocktail is KAPS LA DIVA, whose
powerful vocals will enchant the crowd, and MISTER FLUO, bringing the groove and a
touch of madness to an altitude of 2,300 metres.

Come and take up the challenge of a 4 kilometre course over a 1,000 metre
vertical climb. Ski tourers and trail runners will be able to climb alongside
Val Thorens athlete Julien Chorrier and reach the Péclet glacier at an
altitude of more than 3,000 metres.

taking place at the Moutière plateau, a really
fun experience to share with everyone. Musical
atmosphere guaranteed. Hot meals are available
to order from Benoit at Café Péclet before 8pm
on Monday the 6th of May (10€) and are on sale
at the event (15€).
