DAY ONE – Renfro Valley Entertainment
Join us as we embark on a musical journey to the birthplace of
country music, Bristol, Tennessee/Virginia. Our first night stay
is at Renfro Valley Entertainment Center in beautiful Renfro

an entertaining show featuring the finest in Kentucky Country

DAY TWO – Kentucky Music Hall of Fame
and Abraham Lincoln Museum
After breakfast, pay a visit to the Kentucky Music Hall of Fame
which honors Kentucky performers, songwriters, comedians
and other music professionals who have made contributions to
the music industry in Kentucky. Crossing into Tennessee we arrive at the Abraham Lincoln Library and Museum whose collection includes the cane Lincoln carried to Ford’s Theatre, two
life masks, the tea set he and Mary Todd used in their Springfield home and much more. Arriving in Bristol, Tennessee/Virginia, we embark on a guided walking tour of this certified
Main Street USA community. The revitalized Historic Downtown features turn-of-the-century architecture, a thriving arts
and entertainment district and specialty shops, galleries and

DAY THREE – Bristol Motor Speedway
and Pickin’ Porch Live
We begin the day with a visit to the Bristol Motor Speedway and
Dragway. Home of the “World’s Fastest Half-Mile Track” and
host to Nationwide and Sprint Series NASCAR events, the Bristol
Dragway hosts NHRA nationals. The track tour is exciting and
highlights the famous high banks of Bristol’s oval track and dragway. After free time in downtown Bristol, Virginia for lunch on
own, we pay a private visit to the childhood home of nationallyrenown entertainer and Bristol Native, Tennessee Ernie Ford.
Furnishings from the era including Ernie’s original bathtub fill
the home along with memorabilia from his career, items from the
region’s music heritage and even the actual room in which Ernie
was born on February 13, 1919. In the evening we enjoy the
Pickin' Porch Live show, a weekly two-hour Bluegrass and Oldtime music show hosted by “Your Bluegrass Buddy”, Tim White
and featuring live performances by the best singers and musicians, many from the Country Music Birthplace! (Breakfast and dinner)
DAY FOUR – Rocky Mount and
Birthplace of Country Music Museum
Step back in time to 1791 as we visit William Cobb’s homestead, Rocky Mount and experience life as it was during this
early settler’s day. Resting at the foot of the Appalachian Mountains, this living history museum offers interpretive tours, craft
demonstrations, farming practices and eighteenth-century
cooking techniques. We also make a stop at Bristol Caverns for
a guided tour. The underground cavern chambers feature geologic formations and a year-round temperature of 56-60 degrees. Later, we visit the new Birthplace of Country Music
Museum. This museum celebrates the influence and importance of Bristol’s rich and unique musical heritage. Housed in a
renovated building in downtown Bristol, the museum offers a
state of the art, interactive multimedia experience charged with
making history come alive. (Breakfast and lunch)
DAY FIVE – Bluegrass Heritage Museum
and BB Riverboat Dinner Cruise
Traveling north we stop at the Bluegrass Heritage Museum.
Here, the history of the area along with the lifestyle, culture,
music and charm of the Bluegrass people come to life. We arrive at our hotel with time to freshen up before climbing
aboard the tastefully decorated and impeccably preserved River
Queen. Our Captain’s Dinner Cruise offers a fabulous meal,
while taking in the skyline in true romantic riverboat-era
charm. (Breakfast and dinner)

We return home with fond memories of our musical adventure.
