A Student Guide to CHURCHES 2014/2015 2 Welcome to Manchester! The Chaplaincy Team at St Peter’s has compiled this guide to help you find a Church that you can settle into. This guide is also on line at the Chaplaincy web site: www.stpeters.org.uk Whilst there are many good churches in Manchester there is one about which we advise caution - The Manchester International Church of Christ. This Church has been excluded from University Campuses. If you would like to know more about any Christian Group, you are welcome to contact us at the Chaplaincy for information. We expect everyone to be on their own 36 spiritual path. We welcome LGBT, Transgender and Fluid together with their straight allies. We are a tolerant spiritual community, supporting each other on our journey. Whilst Unitarianism has its roots in Protestant Christianity, we find wisdom in the writings of world religions, poetry and prose. Amongst our members are those who identify as Atheist, humanist, agnostic, Christian, Buddhist and Eco Spiritual and many who are a mixture! If you have doubts and questions this is a good place for you. We may not answer them but we will help you to explore them and clarify your thoughts. 37 38 39 City Centre MMU Oxford Road RNCM Booth Street University of Manchester Brook Upper St Peter’s House Street Fallowfield St Peter’s House Church and Chaplaincy Chaplaincy to Higher Education Precinct Centre, Oxford Road, Manchester M13 9GH www.stpeters.org.uk
