FULL DAY ISTANBUL HISTORICAL PENINSULA
Enjoy a full day tour of the Sultanahmet area, which is the UNESCO recognized heart of old Istanbul. Our local guide
takes us to Hagia Sophia. Built in 537 AD as world’s first large dome building, it was the religious focal point of the
Orthodox Church before its conversion in a Muslim Mosque. We have a look at its many unique decoration from
Byzantine and Turkish periods. Then we enjoy a short walk across to Blue Mosque. Built in 17th century, it owes its
fame to the exquisite Iznik Tiles. Hippodrome is next to here where we see an Egyptian Obelisk and Serpent Column at
the Eastern Roman Empire’s horse chariots races arena. We then go to Grand Bazaar. Following introduction by our
guide we will have some free time to browse its 1,200 spice and gold shops. After lunch at a local restaurant, we visit the
amazing Topkapi Palace, which from 15th to the 19th Century was the principle residence of the Turkish Ottoman
Empire.
HALF DAY ANTALYA CITY TOUR (4 hours)
On your first or second day in Antalya, why not see the top sights on a comfortable, escorted, air-conditioned tour.
Cruise the city's palm-lined boulevards stopping at Hadrian's Gate, the Clock Tower at Kalekapısı, Republic Square with
its dramatic statue and excellent views of the Mediterranean coast and the distant Olimpos Mountains. Descending from
the square, you explore the narrow, winding streets of historic Old Antalya (Kaleiçi), filled with graceful Ottoman-era
houses and gardens. Last stop is the fine Antalya Museum, which is somewhat out of the city center and easiest to visit
on a tour.
HALF DAY BODRUM CITY TOUR (4 hours)

century castle built by the Knights of St. John of Rhodes. The world's oldest known shipwreck exhibition is now open.

The Mausoleum; The Mausoleum of Halikarnassus was one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Its site is on
open-air museum visited with awe for the accomplishments of the ancients. Its monumental statuary is in the British
Museum but some artifacts and replicas of its friezes can be seen on the site.
Amphitheater; Seating about 13. 000 spectators the theater dates to the region of Mausolus but with modifications added
by the Romans. With rock tombs above, the site provides an unequalled view of the city.
