A turquoise sea, empty sandy beaches, romantic sunsets – a hint of the
Caribbean floats across the new Nicki Marquardt Summer Collection. Elegant, subdued colours such as gold and silver, classic navy and delicate
shades of beige and nude combined with summery turquoise and warm reds
emphasise the clear silhouettes of the models and the soft lines of each design.
The ‘Pack-It’ models and Foldable Hats’ Collection exhibit their discreetly
playful nature. Warm, natural shades underline the contemporary feel and
superb look of the hand-made abaca hats. They combine protection from the
sun with that extra appeal, perfect for strolling along the beach or around the
city. Peaked caps and trilbies made of a cleverly combined mixture of materials
are casually robust travel companions and especially comfortable to wear.
One characteristic of the hand-shaped hats and fascinators made of seldomly
used parasisal is their free and playful contouring. Amorphous shapes flow
around the wearer’s head as if hovering in the air. The delicate elegance of
these models, accentuated by exquisite feather trimmings, turns every outfit
into something special.

For 17 years Nicki Marquardt has been designing and manufacturing
Haute Couture & custom made hats for a wide range of occasions, including
theatre, TV & film productions as well as social events such as weddings,
anniversaries and company events.
The popular designer also creates two prêt-à-porter collections each year
which she presents on important accessory fairs in spring and autumn, such
as the Première Classe Tuileries in Paris.
Her collections are sold by selected galleries, fashion & concept stores
around the globe in Auckland, Brisbane, Chicago, London, Milan, New York,
Paris, San Francisco, Seoul and Tokyo.
Unconventional stylistic elements, delicate materials and perfect workmanship are the leitmotifs for Nicki Marquardt’s design. Her focus is always on
designing contemporary and trendy hats for ladies and gentlemen which are
enhancing the style of their wearer. Her creations have reaped numerous
awards: in 2012, Nicki Marquardt received the internationally renowned
red dot design award for her collection of foldable hats which reflect her
design attitude in a playful manner.
