Christmas Time in Quebec City
Day 1 Kingston – Fort Henry Candlelight
Dinner
As the Christmas Season draws near,
everything comes alive with the spirit of the
Holidays. We begin our adventure with a
relaxing drive to Kingston. This evening
we enjoy a unique dining experience in
the beautifully decorated Officers’ Mess
at Old Fort Henry. This special Holiday
Candlelight Dinner has become a Kingston
tradition of the season. (D)
Day 2 Québec City – Christmas Market
– City Tour and Lights - Dinner Maison
Jacquet
This morning a leisurely drive takes us
to Quebec City. Steeped in history and
charm, lights, decorations, and snow create
an enchanting setting like no other within
Old Quebec transforming it into a real
Christmas village, just like out of Charles
Dickens’s novel - A Christmas Carol. On
arrival we visit the Port Market. Experience
the authentic old-world charm of a German
Christmas Market, complete with timber
kiosks, in the heart of Old Québec. Enjoy a
unique and friendly atmosphere, beautiful
decorations, a great selection of delicious
products, exquisite Christmas gifts and so
much more. As darkness falls, a step on
guide joins us for a tour of the Lights. And
tonight, a special dining experience! The
historic Maison Jacquet, one of the largest
houses in upper-town in its day and the
oldest in Quebec, was built in 1675-76.
The site was granted to François Jacquet
on November 30, 1674 by the nuns of the
neighboring Ursuline Convent. Its thick
walls, solid joints, marvelous wainscoting
and recessed cupboards are characteristic
of the houses constructed during that
period. Though it is contradicted by history,
the myth persists that General Montcalm
also lived and died in this famous house.
Since 1966, it has housed the restaurant
Aux Anciens Canadiens, internationally
known for its fine cuisine. (B,D)

Day 3 Québec City – Chemin du Roy Sleigh Ride
This morning there’s time explore Old
Quebec. You may want to search out
that one of a kind gift at Boutique de
Noël near Chateau Frontenac, the perfect
spot to find some incredible and unique
holiday treasures! Then, step inside the
Chateau Frontenac, symbol of the city and
the world’s most photographed hotels to
enjoy the magnificent, magical holiday
decorations! Is it any wonder CNN ranked
Québec City among the world’s top 10
destinations for celebrating the Holidays!
Later we travel to Chemin du Roy. On
arrival we enjoy a horse drawn sleigh ride
that takes us through the maple grove
l’érabliére, “Le Chemin du Roy” before
indulging in a traditional all-you-can-eat
sugar shack meal served in an enchanting
setting complete with folk singers and live
entertainment. We top it off with maple
taffy on snow before returning to our hotel
for the night. (B,D)
Day 4 Quebec City - Montmorency Falls
– Manoir Montmorency
Later on this morning we take a trip outside
the city to Montmorency Falls where, in
very cold weather, fine mist from the falls
freezes and eventually forms the famous
Sugar Loaf, an impressive cone of ice at the
foot of the waterfall. Enjoy a view of the
falls and time to take some pictures before
we make our way to Manoir Montmorency,
perched high atop the hill. From here you
have a spectacular view of the St. Lawrence
River and the Ile d’Orleans. A delicious
lunch is included at the Manoir before we
say goodbye to Quebec City and make our
way to Cornwall for the night. (B,L)

out in a convent after witnessing a crime.
Disguised as a nun, she finds herself at odds
with the rigid lifestyle. But using her unique
disco moves and sensational musical talent,
Deloris helps her fellow sisters find their inner

to this day. Its historic center is a unique
mixture of Dutch architecture and
Caribbean pastels, its gabled row houses
overlooking Sint Anna Bay, a waterway
dividing the city in two and connecting the
Caribbean to the protected Schottegat Bay.
The entire historic center of Willemstad
has been recognized as a UNESCO
World Heritage Site. While Willemstad’s

institutions like the Kura Hulanda
and Curaçao Maritime Museum, this is a
vibrant, living city too. Highlights of this
multicultural melting pot might include a
stop at its floating market and a visit to
a curaçao distillery to taste the famous
local liqueur. Natural wonders await
as well: Some of the Caribbean’s most
stunning diving and snorkeling spots are
here. Finally, a meal in Willemstad will let
you experience the diversity of the island
through the surprising flavors of its cuisine,
which reflects European, Caribbean and
Latin American influences. (B,L,D)
Day 7 At Sea
Enjoy a day to relax and rest before our
next sightseeing begins. (B,L,D)
Day 8 Cartagena, Colombia
We arrive in the port of Cartagena
at 7:00 a.m.. The old walled city of
Cartagena reflects a turbulent history of
conquistadors and pirates. Climb “las

harbour. Shop for emeralds and leather
goods along the cobblestone streets. Or
choose from one of the offered shore
excursions. The ms Zuiderdam departs at

Day 9 Enter Panama Canal
Today, we make our partial transit of the
Panama Canal, entering at Cristobal. This
77.1 km ship canal connects the Atlantic
Ocean to the Pacific Ocean. The canal
cuts across the Isthmus of Panama and
is a key path for international maritime
trade. There are locks at each end to lift

sea level. The current locks are 33.5
metres wide, with a third, wider lane
due to open in 2015. Work first began by
France in 1881, with an official opening
date of Aug 15, 1914. In the 100 years
since its opening, the canal continues to
be a vital link in world trade, with annual
traffic rising from 1000 ships to more than
15,000 vessels. We depart Colon at 8:00

Day 10 Puerto Limon, Costa Rica
Puerto Limón probably isn’t the most
bustling port you’ve ever visited, but
don’t be put off by its facade; like most
coastal towns in Costa Rica, it is a perfect
base from which to explore an attractionand activity-rich region that can fulfill
a variety of interests. You’re never far
from a rain forest or outdoor adventure
in Costa Rica, and there are lots of day
trips from Puerto Limón that allow you
to pack in an adrenaline rush or a few
more ticks on your birding list within just
a few hours. There are treetops for zip
lining and rushing rivers for whitewater
rafting if you’re a more active traveler,
and animal lovers can take sanctuary
tours in and around Puerto Limón. Of
course, when it comes time to eat, there’s
plenty of the national favorite, gallo pinto
(rice and beans), and as with many port
towns, there is lots of fresh seafood and
even an upscale Italian restaurant. As for
shopping, you can find arts and crafts that
were made locally as well as edible treats
like handmade chocolate. We are in port
from 6:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (B,L,D)
Day 11 At Sea
As we near the end of our time onboard
the ms Zuiderdam, don’t miss out on
the fabulous shows and entertainment
available on board. (B,L,D)
Day 12 At Sea
Our final day to relax on board. Be sure
to finish up some last minute shopping,
enjoy the spa, try your luck at the Casino
or relax poolside. (B,L,D)
Day 13 Fort Lauderdale – Cape
Canaveral – Orlando, FL
An early morning return brings us back
to the Port of Fort Lauderdale where
our motor coach will be waiting. We
continue north along the Atlantic shore
to Cape Canaveral and the Kennedy
Space Center Complex. There’s no better
way to get a glimpse of the Center than
on a tour past some of the most iconic
NASA landmarks. Also included in our
visit is the Space Shuttle Atlantis, IMAX®
space films, and all available exhibits and
shows. Later we continue to Orlando for
the night. (B)
Day 14
With many fond memories and the warm
Florida air, we must pack our bags and
head for the airport for our return flight
home. You will be met at the Airport and
returned to your joining location. (B)

Day 8 Oranjestad, Aruba
Located off the coast of Venezuela,
the windswept Dutch island of Aruba
is otherworldly. Here, the beaches are
spectacularly pristine, the waters are
romantically restless, the island interior
is lunar-like and filled with cacti, and the
trees are—quite famously—bent in the
wind. The island’s consistent trade winds
are part of the destination’s allure: They
keep the humidity, rain and hurricanes
common in much of the Caribbean
during its off-season at bay. The main port
and capital city, Oranjestad, is a maze of
Dutch-colonial architecture painted in a
palette of Caribbean pastels. (B,L,D)
Day 9 Willemstad, Curacao
The capital of Curaçao, Willemstad, is
almost as old as a more famous Dutch
settlement—it was founded in 1634,
just 10 years after New Amsterdam,
later called New York. But while the
Dutch control of New Amsterdam was
relatively brief, Curaçao remains a part
of the Netherlands to this day. Its historic
center is a unique mixture of Dutch
architecture and Caribbean pastels, its

abundant rainforests make for one of the
most naturally diverse “biospheres” in the
world. And you can take advantage of

Costa Rica - A Land of Wonder Holiday
The Climate of Costa Rica is very pleasant
all year round. Although the different
Mountain Ranges give way to Tropical
Rainforests which give way to beautiful
beaches, it is generally a Tropical Climate
with a very consistent 22° C average
temperature.
Costa Rica’s main industry is Tourism
and as such you will find a friendly and
welcoming atmosphere through-out the
Country. We have included an average of
2 meals per day, with some of the meals
being served at the resorts you are staying
while others will be served at independent
restaurants. Good hearty meals that are
typically Caribbean featuring a lot of rice,
beans, chicken and fish.
This charming little country can be found
in Central America, just north of the
country of Panama. Although it is only
200 miles from Pacific to Caribbean
across, this lush & tropical country is
full of incredible plant and animal life,
making it truly one of the very best places
to explore nature. Here you will find an
average 234.8 species of plants, 16.9 bird
species and 4.6 mammal species in an
average 1,000km² As a people, the Costa
Ricans love their natural habitat and
have put in place incredible measures
to protect this wonderful environment!
Well over 25% of the Country has been
designated as either National Parks or
Conservation areas. This small country
also features three main Mountain
Ranges; the Guanacaste Mountain Range,
Central Mountain Range and Talamanca
Mountain Range with some of some of
their mountains rising more than 12,000
ft in height! As part of the Ring of Fire,
many of these mountains exist due to the
large number of active volcanos such as
Arenal, Irazu and Turrialba, an incredible
112 sites through-out the country.
With Costa Rica being such a small
country, you will never travel far before
seeing some incredible sights. Our
itinerary has been built so that you will
stay at each hotel a minimum of two
nights, allowing you the chance to truly
explore Costa Rica!
Finally, we have incorporated some
amazing attractions such as boat cruises,
guided hikes, a Sky Tram canopy ride,
a Hot Springs & Spa, Museums and so
much more! A truly amazing experience!

Day 2 Las Vegas
Las Vegas, this ever-changing fantasyland of a city, has seen unbelievable
expansion since it emerged from the
desert just over 100 years ago. Following
a leisurely breakfast, we visit Hoover
Dam. A 10 minute film describes Hoover
Dam’s contributions to the development
of the West as well as the tremendous feat
of engineering that created the dam. The

A day trip takes us from Williams,
surrounded by an expansive Ponderosa
pine forest to Sedona, set in Arizona’s high
desert. Sedona and Oak Creek Canyon
are famous for stunning panoramas and
massive, red-rock formations. Sedona was
established by homesteaders in 1879 and
remained a rural ranching community until
the motion picture industry revealed it to
the world. We continue to Montezuma’s
Castle. This impressive ancient Native
American cliff dwelling is nestled high
above Beaver Creek and is more than six
centuries old. We return to our hotel for a
relaxing evening. (B)
Day 5 Grand Canyon - Page, AZ
Keep you cameras ready as we spend a day
at the Grand Canyon. Our first stop will
be in Tusayan at the National Geographic
Visitor Center and IMAX. Discover the
grandeur of the Canyon through the
IMAX presentation, “Over the Rim and
Beyond”. After lunch we board our coach
and continue to the awe-inspiring Grand
Canyon. As we drive along the South
Rim, we stop at several viewpoints of
the Grand Canyon. As one of the world’s
seven natural wonders, the Grand Canyon
offers spectacular vistas of steep walls that
have been sculpted from the earth over the
millennia by the mighty Colorado River. In
the afternoon we carry on to Page, Arizona
for a 2 night stay. (B)
Day 6 Page / Lake Powell Adventure
Cruise
After a delicious breakfast, we set sail on
the Lake Powell Adventure Cruise that
includes an excursion through twisting
Antelope Canyon offering a great view of
Glen Canyon Dam. One of the longest
of Lake Powell’s 96 major side canyons,
Navajo Canyon, twists and meanders
15.5 miles past 600’ high walls laden
with Navajo Tapestries. These colourful
tapestries are made up of Iron oxide and
manganese residue eroded over beds of
shale and “draped” down the sides of the
canyon walls. (B)
Day 7 Bryce Canyon, UT
Our Canyon lands adventure continues
as we make our way to the spectacular
Bryce Canyon. Erosion has carved colorful
limestone into thousands of spires, fins,
arches and mazes. Collectively called
“hoodoos,” these unique formations are
whimsically arranged and tinted with
colors too numerous and subtle to name.
We overnight at the historic Ruby’s Inn. A
delicious dinner is included this evening at
the Bryce Pioneer Village! (B,D)
Day 8 Zion Nat’l Park – Las Vegas, NV
The scenery is ever changing as we travel
to Zion Nat’l Park. The name “Zion”
means “a place of peace and refuge”. As a
sanctuary with over 146,000 acres of cliffs,
canyons, diverse plant and animal life, and
uninterrupted beauty, Zion is well-named.
On our visit you will see massive sandstone
walls, some as high as 3,800 feet. Lunch will
be at the Zion Lodge, boasting spectacular
views of the magnificent surroundings.
Later we return to Las Vegas for the night.
Tonight, for those who wish, we will tour
“The Strip” to see the lights and hotels after
dark, as our final farewell to the city that
never sleeps. (B,L)

to Dawson Creek, BC at mile zero of the
Alaska Highway. Be sure to get your photo
taken at the Mile Zero sign post to mark the
beginning of your great adventure. (B)
Day 3 Muncho Lake, BC
We gradually leave southern civilization
behind as we travel along the highway
through Fort St. John and Fort Nelson to
Muncho Lake. The Alaska Highway was a
monumental project started during the height
of World War ll fearing impending attack.
Thus in 1942 construction crews worked
simultaneously on several sections between
Dawson Creek and Fairbanks, joining up
with one another to finally complete the
project in only 9 months. Our journey
continues north through the mountainous
region by Muncho Lake Provincial Park. (B)
Day 4 Whitehorse, YK
This morning there will be time for a dip
in the naturally heated waters of Laird Hot
Springs before continuing to Watson Lake,
an important part of the Alaska Highway. Just
north of here was where the construction
crews from the last northern section met
the crews from the last southern section to
complete the legs of the highway. Another
of Watson Lake’s claim to fame is the unique
Signpost Forest. Bring a sign from your home
town if you like and add it to the “forest”!
We continue to Whitehorse, the capital of
the Yukon Territory, situated on the mighty
Yukon River where Sternwheelers once
plied the route to the gold creeks and fields
of Dawson City. (B)
Day 5 White Pass and Yukon RailSkagway
A rail tour is on the agenda today with a
visit to Skagway, Alaska. You’ll take the
fabulous White Pass and Yukon Rail as part
of the excursion passing over canyons, past
waterfalls and through the mountains to
Lynn Canal on the Alaska Inside passage
route. This evening return to Whitehorse to
enjoy the Frantic Follies Revue Show! (B)
Day 6 Dawson City, YK
Following the same basic route as the old
prospectors of the Klondike Goldrush you
will drive to Dawson City for the next two
nights. Dawson City is a national historic
treasure. The old buildings have been
preserved from the goldrush period at the
turn of the 20th century, making you feel
like you’ve travelled back to those colorful
times. (B)
Day 7 Gold Panning tour - Dawson City,
YK
Today you will take a Gold Panning tour
and learn about the history of the goldrush,
the original gold panning techniques as well
as more large scale methods of prizing the
shiny metal. The afternoon can be enjoyed
on your own. Take in a Robert Service
recital, visit the quaint shops or just relax in
this peaceful village setting. (B)
Day 8 Fairbanks, AK
The drive to Fairbanks takes you to the Top
of the World and back. This highway gives
you a sense of the vastness of the land.
Travelling through unique little settlements
like Chicken and Tok your day finishes at the
northern terminus of the Alaska Highway at
Fairbanks. (B)
Day 9 Fairbanks, AK
Sternwheelers once serviced the gold seekers
in Dawson by navigating the Yukon River all
the way through Alaska from the Bering Sea.

we visit the Alaska Wildlife Conservation
Center, a facility dedicated to preserving
Alaska’s wildlife through education. Here
you can see firsthand Moose, Bison, Bear
and more, in a very natural setting, after
which you’ll have the balance of the day to
enjoy at your leisure. (B)
Day12 MS Zaandam - Cruising
This morning you bid farewell to those
continuing aboard the Motor Coach and
your tour director, then board a shuttle
bus for Seward. Upon arrival at the dock,
you will board Holland America Cruise
Lines ship, the MS Zaandam. After time
to settle into your cabin, you will enjoy
strolling about this floating resort. The ship
will set sail at 8:00 p.m. Please remember,
that while aboard, all of your meals are

Day 14 Glacier Bay National Park, AK
This morning begins a full day of Scenic
Cruising. As Biosphere Reserve and
2016 Tour Catalogue
UNESCO World Heritage Site, Glacier Bay
National Park; protects a unique ecosystem
of plants and animals living in concert with
an ever-changing glacial landscape. How
does it feel when a monumental chunk
of ice splits off a glacier and crashes into
the sea? The sound is like thunder! The
impact shoots water hundreds of feet into
the air. You hold your breath as you catch
the moment on film! Then you wait for it
all to happen again. And it does! Glacier
Bay has more actively calving tidewater
glaciers than anyplace else in the world.
The MS Zaandam will be in the bay from
10:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. for your viewing
and photography pleasure. (B,L,D)
Day 15 Haines/Skagway, AK
This morning the MS Zaandam will arrive
in Haines, Alaska at 6:30 a.m. and spend
the entire day, departing at 9:00 p.m.
Nestled on the shores of America’s longest
fjord, Haines is in a spectacular setting.
Fill your day with a float trip through the
Chilkat Bald Eagle Preserve which protects
the habitat of the nation’s avian symbol,
or visit the Sheldon Museum, art galleries
and local shops in town. Optional high
speed catamaran access for shopping
and excursions in Skagway will also be
available. Skagway is also a terrific place
to shop some of the many Jewellery Stores.
(B,L,D)
Day 16 Juneau, AK
The day is yours to explore the Capital
City of Alaska, Juneau, which cannot
be reached by road. The MS Zaandam
arrives about 8:00 a.m. and departs
around 6:00 p.m. While here you should
visit the Mendenhall Glacier, located only
12 miles from downtown Juneau. This is
also a terrific walking city, featuring very
colourful downtown buildings. For some
fun and laughter, stop in at the Red Dog
Saloon for a sandwich, a drink and a very
interesting piano player! (B,L,D)
Day 17 Ketchikan, AK
day here begins around 11:00 a.m. and
ends around 7:00 p.m. A lively fishing port,
Ketchikan is also known as the Salmon
Capital of the World. Built out over the
water and climbing weathered stairways,
Ketchikan clings to the shores of Tongass
Narrows and drapes the mountains with a
cheerful air. Besides the main attractions
- Creek Street, the Tongass Historical
Museum, Totem Bight State Park and
Saxman Village, try a flightseeing trip
to breathtaking Misty Fjords National
Monument--a transformational adventure
not to be missed. These deep water fjords
left by retreating glaciers left granite cliffs
towering thousands of feet above the sea
and countless waterfalls cascading into
placid waters. (B,L,D)
Day 18 Cruising the Inside Passage
Today you will want to take advantage
of the many ship board amenities, while
cruising through the scenic Inside Passage.
The fabled Inside Passage is one of the
most scenic sea-lanes in the world, and
one of the few where deep-draft vessels
can sail close to steep mountain walls.
The scenery is unbelievable, with forests
in a hundred shades of green, tumbling
turquoise glaciers, and evocative towns
loaded with history, culture and adventure.
With most of Southeast Alaska accessible
only by boat or plane, the Inside Passage is
a lifeline to the outside world. Once inside
the shelter of Vancouver Island, it is a good
time to keep your eyes looking for Orca
Whales that can often be seen breaching
out of the water. (B,L,D)
Day 19 Vancouver to Toronto - Home
Around 7:00 a.m. this morning will find us
docking in Vancouver harbour at Canada
Place. After collecting your belongings
and saying good-bye, you will leave the
ship and board your transfer vehicle to the
Airport. After a pleasant flight home, you
will be met at Pearson Airport in Toronto
and shuttled to your joining point. (B)
One of the most southern points in Alaska
is the Island community of Ketchikan. Our
