On the 12th of April the grade 5’s and 6’s went to the Melbourne Arts Centre to
watch the 52 storey treehouse play. It was awesome to watch actors on the
stage trying to make us laugh and have fun. We all loved it and we wish we can
go back and watch it again.
I liked the part when they used the Disguisomatic 5000 because they changed into different outfits – Zunaid
The play The 52 storey treehouse was an amazing performance, it was delightful, I could laugh for the whole act. – Pinar
I really think it was good because I could see the effort they put into the show because they were getting really tired and sweaty. Dilara G
I liked the characters they were extremely so so funny! Jessica
I liked the play because they were funny at acting they made me laugh a lot. Jaydan
Something really creepy was when the Ninja snail just came out of nowhere, he was doing a creepy dance, with creepy sound effects. My friends and I
were so scared of it, that’s how creepy it was for me. Dilara A
The 52 Storey Treehouse is playing at the Melbourne Arts Centre, Playhouse Theatre. The 52 Storey Treehouse is on stage until April 17th. This play is
based on a book that Terry Denton and Andy Griffiths wrote but the play is directed by Richard Tulloch. I recommend this play to 6 years and over. My
opinion is that the play is very good and had very funny bits and awkward bits as well. I really liked the part when Terry told Andy how to kiss Jill that
made me feel awkward. I also really liked the bit where they did a bottom burb for the code that was really funny. Overall it was the first and best play I
have ever been to. Aleyna Bilekler
I personally think that the 52 Story Treehouse play held at the Melbourne Arts Centre in the PLAYHOUSE Theatre was fantastic. The play was written
by Richard Tulloch, based on the book written by Terry Denton and Andy Griffiths. I loved the whole play it was funny, amusing and entertaining. There
were some parts that could have been a little bit better, for instance the ending, I feel like there should have been more of an exciting ending, but otherwise it was stunning.
My favourite character in the play was Terry because I thought he was funny. My favourite part would have to be when Terry was trying to train the
snails to become Ninja Snails. My favourite prop would have to be the fried egg car because first of all it was an egg and when they made the car
noises it was funny. I would recommend this show to people 6 and above, I think they would enjoy it the most. Sajah El-Halabi

It made me laugh and made me want to read the next book of the series, and even the play if they do it again. Leyla
I really enjoyed the part how they had to unlock a code. They tried their fingerprints but that failed. They then tried their faces. That failed as well. Last
they tried their bottoms and it worked. I liked it because it probably made me laugh the most out of all the parts. Savannah

Problem solve. One of the best ways to discipline
effectively is to wait until children are calm and

YOUR CHILD IS TO WORK ON THEIR HOMEWORK TASKS FOR NO MORE THAN 30 MINUTES DAILY.
YOUR CHILD IS TO LEARN TO MANAGE THEIR TIME AT HOME WITH PARENTAL ASSISTANCE.
The role of the parent/caregiver in homework is that of a critical friend, encourager and someone who monitors the tasks requiring
completion.
Encourage and guide your child if they require assistance giving them positive comments. If any task is too difficult, let the child
“Have a Go” and encourage them to seek assistance from their Home Group Teacher advising them of this.
If for any unforeseen reason your child was unable to complete their homework a signed note addressed to your child’s Home
Group Teacher explaining the reason would be appreciated.
Weekly Homework Tasks
Students are to spend no more than 30 minutes daily on their Homework.
Tasks may include:
Take Home Reading
Word List/Spelling (from student’s personal writing activity and word study lists)
General numeracy activities (e.g., counting)
If your child requires extra assistance in a particular area, the Home Group Teacher will approach you and you may negotiate some extra
home tasks to assist your child’s learning development.
