La Périgordine – news for 2016
The choice :
3 races are proposed, with only one group start at 8:45 am for the cyclosportives
and for the hikers, 3 different distances (74km, 99km, 134km) and the possibility
to choose, along the race, one of those 3 tracks…!
The races are less difficult ! : The first 25 km are the same for each race and
flat, the small race has only two difficulties and the intermediate one is easy
reachable by anybody…!
Team spirit :
An easy team challenge that you can make a team for no matter which race anyone
chose for more conviviality !
3 challenges in one: “friends” teams, “companies” teams or “clubs” teams; 3 to 5
riders by team (the 3 best ranks will be selected at the end)…!
Egality Men/Women :
The same age categories for women and men, which makes 10 categories, and also
one for youngs and disabled…!
The innovation:
The ride is opened to bikes with an electrical help so that everybody can join even
the ones who don’t dare…!
For the accompaniants :
Touristic pedestrian walk around Montignac, free of charge, organised by the
local hiking association.
And, still, Wonderful Panoramas… And the warm and welcoming meal at the end… !

La Périgordine – technical informations 2016
3 races : group start at 8 :45 am (racers and riders), free choice of path
along the race.
La Périgordine : 134 km / 1780 m elevation);
La Montignacoise : 99 km / 1160 m elevation);
La Pitchoune : 74 km / 830 m elevation).

Paths’ profiles :
The first 25km are flat, which will make everybody comfortable to start. Then the
difficulty will depend on your choice of race. The small one is easy. The middle one
is reachable by any trained rider, the big one is made for amators of long distances,
made of a succession of elevations having an average difficulty.
A free pedestrian walk is proposed for the accompaniants.
Fees :
20€ racers et 12€ riders (until june, 29th – from june, 30th: 26€ racers and 18€
riders).
Meal (non included in the inscription fee) : 12€ (opened to the accompaniants).
Geographical location :
Montignac is located right in the middle of the historical Perigord, at the feet of
Lascaux’s cave. Ideal for a touristic weekend with family or friends ! The path
offers wonderful postcards-like points of view et cross some really typical
Perigord’s villages.

Racers’ team challenge
The association wishes to promote conviviality:
That’s why the cyclotouriste team rank will be highlighted. The criteria to fill are:
• A team is made of 3 to 5 riders.
• We will be considering the individual rank of each team rider in its category of the race we took part (each one
choosing the race he wants).
•
The team total points corresponds to the addition of the 3 best team mates’ rank.
•
Therefore, the final team rank is obtained by comparing the scores obtained. The best team is then the one that
has the least points.
Moreover :
• All kind of combinaisons are possible since the rank selected takes into account the category: mixing men/ women,
disabled, tandem… It is also possible to mix those who belong to a club and those who don’t.
• Each individual participant can easily get into a team and, this, until the inscriptions are closed, without any extra fee.
• The teams have to choose a name that does not contain any discriminatory or explicit content.
• A team inscription is free of charge.
You can enroll a team for one and only of these three challenges :

An easy settlement, a unique challenge, opened to everyone, example :
The team “happy to translate” is composed of Nathalie (44 years old), Jean (71 years old),
Martin (46 years old) and Gaël (junior). Nathalie got the 4th place in her category (“W3”)
for the Pitchoune; Jean got the 2nd one in the category “M9” for the Périgordine; Martin
got the 6th one (category “M4”) for the Montignacoise and Gaël finished at the 3rd place
(category “MJ”) for the Montignacoise.
The “happy to translate” team score is then: 4+2+3= 9 points. Martin’s rank is not taken
into account.
Rewards :
Un trophy will be given to the first three teams of each challenge (and also, an individual reward).
