WE WERE
BORN
TO RIDE!
Is riding a motorbike your ultimate passion? Do you like to share your passion with other enthusiasts, and are you looking for an adventurous way of doing just that? Look no further; join us on one
of our fabulous motorcycle tours across the USA, Canada, or South Africa. We promise you
an unforgettable experience!
A bit about us
Crossroads Motortours specializes in extraordinary motorcycle tours.
We − René and Ronald − founded our company in 2002. Once upon a time
we took a tour ourselves, only to get totally hooked. We decided to turn
our hobby into business, and to join forces in making other riders’ dreams
come true. The rest is history; we have succeeded in providing umpteen
riders with the motorcycle tour of a lifetime. We take the most magnificent
roads, pointing out the most incredible sites as we go. We do all of this with
immense fervor, pleasure, and devotion − and we always put our participants first.
The best of the best
As dedicated motorcycle fanatics we’ll do whatever we can to keep improving
our tours. We’re always on the lookout for exciting new routes, with diferent
back roads, alternative stops, quaint little “local” restaurants, and hotels that
match the tour’s atmosphere. Thanks to this approach we and our tour participants get to meet all kinds of friendly folks and hear the tall tales they oten
have to tell. Riding with us means riding on a current bike in a modestly sized
group. This means no extended fuel stops as well as being easily accommodated everywhere to eat, drink, and have fun together. Our limited group size also
contributes to maximum safety. What’s more, we are let with plenty of time
for personal interaction with our participants. In short, this is the best of the
best, in every respect!
What’s your preference?
Besides guided motorcycle tours we also organize customized tours, for
individual participants as well as groups. Like to ride alone, as a couple,
or with a bunch of friends? We’ve got you covered; we’ll gladly assemble a
special package for you, with whatever you like, such as lights, hotels, bikes,
even motor homes. Make your request via our website and we’ll create a
proposal with no obligations.

THE TRIP
OF A LIFETIME
Crossroads Motortours organizes tours for connoisseurs, bon vivants,
and epicureans. As experienced tour leaders we know exactly how
to orchestrate the trip of a lifetime, your ultimate adventure. Your
pleasure is our reward.
A total experience
A motorcycle tour is way more than riding a bike, just as guiding a motorcycle tour is way more than just riding in
front. At Crossroads Motortours we get that. To us a motorcycle tour is a total experience where every single day
should be perfect. We want our participants to enjoy generous amounts of good vibes, adventure, and just feeling
great together. You will see and share the unforgettable, gather precious new experiences, get to know each other
on the tour and, at the same time, meet other interesting folks along the way.
Good honest food
Our guided tours are all about doing stuf together; having barbecues, eating out, enjoying a drink or two. They’re
about laughter, maybe the occasional tear. Simply put, they’re about life itself. We’ll take you to the most charming
“local” restaurants and bars. Forget about fast food chains, we’ll go to the places the locals like. We know where the
cooking’s good and what’s on the menu. Speaking of cooking, we do some of that ourselves too; nothing beats a
steak and salad by René or Ronald. Especially when you get to savor it at the edge of a canyon at sunset.
Awesome accommodations
For our participants we only want the best. As a result you’ll be sleeping in truly awesome accommodations, carefully handpicked to complement your tour. What could be better than parking your bike right in front of the hotel
and heading straight for a refreshing dive in the pool? Of course, if you have any special wishes we’ll be sure to take
them into account.
Safety first
We prepare our tours meticulously, making sure everything is neatly arranged. You won’t have to worry about
a thing. Your bike will be ready. We will check you into your hotel. We’ll take care of you. It goes without saying
that safety is a priority. On our tours we use state-of-the-art communications equipment, and all our combined
experience to trouble shoot any possible problems. As far as we’re concerned it’s all part of the job.

USA
One of a kind
Y
Enjoying culture, riding through the great wide
open, listening to good music, savoring great
food − you’re about to experience the American
dream. The country of Uncle Sam is the land of
opportunity in every way, and you can go tour it
with us. This is the stuf that dreams are made of!
Just picture yourself...
Riding a motorcycle across the USA is an unforgettable experience. The national
parks are huge and incredibly beautiful − from orange rock masses to canyons or
geysers, from hot deserts to majestic Sequoia trees. You’ll notice how every park
is diferent. The same also goes for all those fabulous roads along the Pacific or
through the mountains. Just picture yourself having the time of your life riding
your bike through deserts or rural areas, with an unlimited view in every direction.
Now isn’t that a great image?
A world waiting to be
discovered
Touring the USA also means seeing lots of animals in their natural habitats.
Moose, bears, squirrels − you’ll be encountering all of them. What’s more, you’ll
be meeting people from every walk of life, celebrities or locals, always ready for a
chat while you’re gassing up or having a drink in a saloon. Having said that, how
about those cities... Las Vegas, San Francisco, Chicago, Seattle, Memphis, New
York, New Orleans: regular metropolitan marvels, every one of them, yet each
has an atmosphere all its own. We’ll be happy to show you around.
14
15
During the Anasazi Tour you’ll meet the people of Route 66, including the Navajos and Hopis that still dwell in these parts. As daily stages aren’t
that long you’ll be let with enough time to enjoy great cups of cofee, delicious lunches, and refreshing dips in hotel pools. A highlight certainly
worth mentioning is the unforgettable barbecue we’ll be throwing at the edge of a canyon at sunset. As the roads through Arizona, Colorado,
Utah, and Nevada are all excellent, riding a bike here is a true joy.

ANASAZI
Face to face with
TOUR native Americans
Time is on your side
LAS VEGAS
This tour owes its name to the Anasazi, a tribe of native Americans that once lived in an area
now covered by the states of Colorado, Utah, New Mexico, and Arizona. Anasazi is a name you’ll
be encountering regularly on this fascinating tour.
Breathtaking scenery
We’ll depart from Las Vegas and start the tour with the most magnificent and longest uninterrupted section of Route 66 still let. We’ll visit the Grand Canyon
and Monument Valley, and cross the Rocky Mountains, passing legendary western towns such as Durango and Silverton along the way. During a non-travelling
day in Grand Lake we’ll go out to explore the breathtaking Rocky Mountain National Park. The next day we’ll leave the Rockies to enter the state of Utah.
The scenery here is even more overwhelming; it’s like being on another planet. Ater a number of unforgettable daily stages across Arches National Park,
Fry Canyon, Glen Canyon, Bryce, and Zion, it’s back to the enticing splendor of Las Vegas. This tour is a real feast for the eyes!

Mid-summer
in wintertime
Riding a motorcycle in gorgeous weather doesn’t get any better than this. On this nine-day tour
you’ll get to see all those sights that make the state of Florida such an absolute sensation −
Miami, Miami Beach, Key West, Daytona, St. Augustine: here we come!
The Hemingway trail
From Miami we’ll be crossing long bridges and azure waters, following the Florida Keys all the way to Key West. This tropical paradise used to be a favorite
hangout for artists and other eccentrics. Authors such as Ernest Hemingway would sip their drinks at Sloppy Joe’s. Key West has always lived by its own set
of laws. Once you get there, you’ll notice how diferent it is from the mainland. Ater relaxing and refueling here we’ll set out for the Everglades, home of
crocodiles and alligators.

Culture, heritage,
and space travel
Ater the murky swamps of the Everglades our itinerary will lead us to the
picturesque and luxurious towns of Naples and St Petersburg. We’ll also
spend a night in stunning St Augustine, rich in culture and with visible
heritage from the days of the Spanish colonists up until the Civil War era.
Next we’ll ride along the Atlantic by way of Cape Canaveral, where we’ll
pay a visit to NASA, and then back up to Miami where the vibrant night
life of Miami Beach awaits. Trust us − spending an hour or two at Mango’s
will make you feel brand new!

The desert represents another feast for the eyes. We’ll ride straight across the
Mojave toward Joshua Tree and Route 66, with overnight stops in Prescott and
Williams. We’ll also spend a night in Seligman, which is very special as no other
tour organization goes there. Join us on this tour, and you’ll feel Route 66 running

Smashing scenery, typical towns
From Las Vegas we’ll ride to the point of the lowest elevation in the USA, Death Valley. Obviously, considering the heat in these parts we’ll stop plenty of
times to drink and cool down. On this very same day we’ll begin to see the Sierra Nevada looming ahead, with the country’s highest point. We’ll follow these
mountains north, then cross Yosemite National Park to the west. We’ll spend our nights in quaint little towns, full of character. The hotels are privately

We’ll continue our journey on deserted roads along the Mississippi, passing cotton fields and making
several stops in quiet little towns. We’ll also visit a typical “down south” cotton mill and sleep in old

Picture this: having fun riding your bike by day while enjoying live blues, jazz, rock, or country
music by night. Besides visiting cities famous for their music − such as Nashville, Memphis, and
New Orleans − you’ll be joining the locals in less famous towns. Beale Street, French Quarter,
juke joints, here we come!
Fantastic bars and live music
We’ll kick of our tour by riding along the Atlantic. Ater a lovely lunch at the beach we’ll arrive in St Augustine, a marvelous town packed with history.
Alongside traces of early Spanish settlers and the Civil War you’ll come across cozy hotels, great shops, and quaint little restaurants. Fantastic local bars with
live music will serve as a reminder of why you booked this tour in the first place. Next we’ll head for the Great Smokey Mountains, with the infamous “Tail
of the Dragon”, featuring 318 curves in a mere 11 miles. What an adrenaline rush! Ater this adventure we’ll visit the cities of Nashville and Memphis, with
Graceland and the Sun Studio. There’s so much to be enjoyed here; you’ll literally be following in Elvis’ footsteps, so put on those blue suede shoes!

The people we’ll encounter along Route 66 are certainly
part of the attraction. Their incredible stories alone are

DEPARTURE DATES
Stretching over 2,300 miles, Route 66 is the legendary road that connects Chicago and Los Angeles.
The road was built in the thirties and saw its heyday in the fities. Riding the entire Route you’d pass
through three time zones and cross eight states. This is pure bucket list material, so here’s your chance!
Prepare to be dazzled
Route 66 is the old America from Hollywood movies − the ultimate Harley-Davidson road. On this trip you’ll notice how a lot of glorious nostalgia remains
unscathed, represented by period restaurants, gas stations, Mom and Pop stores and the like. The tour departs from the historic starting point of Route 66 in
Chicago. From there we’ll ride out of town and take the Pontiac Trail. Of course our itinerary includes the “Famous Dixie Truck-Stop” and the “Chain of Rocks
Bridge”. We’ll literally pass all those legendary sites, and end the tour where we should, on Santa Monica pier. Talk about unforgettable...

From Las Vegas we’ll head in the direction of Death Valley. Now that the season has progressed temperatures
are quite pleasant here. The sun is now lower on the horizon, making for a diferent lighting efect, with

Don’s Ghost Town and Route 66
The Mojave Desert and Don’s Ghost Town are very photogenic as well. Don once bought an old mine in which
he now stores his fabulous collection of cars, trucks, and motorcycles. The icing on the cake of this tour is
following the Grand Canyon and the best part of Route 66, riding to the beat of a rarified atmosphere and
unexpected encounters. We’ll get to hear spectacular tales, such as the emotional story of Angel Delgadillo,
and barbecue right by the side of Route 66. This is life as it’s meant to be.
Leaving Las Vegas
During the tour’s final days we’ll take day trips from Las Vegas to magnificent places such as the “Valley
Of Fire” and the “Red Canyon”. Once back in Vegas every night you’ll have plenty of time to go shopping at
one of the outlet malls, try your luck at one of the many casinos, and generally enjoy the nightlife.
These Las Vegas riding days are optional; it’s up to you how many extra riding days you prefer.
LAS VEGAS
In October 2012 we organized a special tour to celebrate our company’s 10-year anniversary.
This tour’s huge success made us decide to include it in our regular program. Highlights include
visits to the Harley-Davidson factories and the Harley-Davidson museum.
Harley-Davidson program
On the first day we’ll ly to the “Windy City” of Chicago. Ater seeing the local sights we’ll head to Milwaukee for a tour of the Harley-Davidson factories and a
visit to the Harley-Davidson museum. Next we’ll return to Chicago and ly to Las Vegas, point of departure for the riding part of this Season’s End Bike Ride.

“Wild Hogs” was shot in these parts − be sure to check it out before going on this tour! Here, down west, the scenery is still as it should be, with deserts and

Ater several days in Sturgis we’ll ride across Wyoming toward Yellowstone National Park and

You’ll be let speechless by its beauty. The most awesome park of all is Yellowstone, where you’ll
see bufalo approaching out of the morning mist caused by steaming geysers. We’ll also visit
“Old Faithful”, Yellowstone’s biggest and most famous geyser. Then by way of Jackson and
Rawlins it’s back to the Rocky Mountains, where we’ll take some more fantastic mountain rides
before heading back to Denver via Rocky Mountains National Park.
Sturgis stages the world’s second largest annual Harley-Davidson event ater Daytona. This is
something every true Harley fan should experience at least once in a lifetime. That said, of course
there’s lots more to see and enjoy on this hugely varied tour.
What’s going on in Sturgis?
From Denver we’ll ride across one of the USA’s least densely populated regions. But when the Black Hills loom ahead, we’ll notice something’s going on −
something big! The increasing number of bikes on the road can mean only one thing: we’re getting closer to Sturgis. All over the world Sturgis is associated
with thousands upon thousands of motorcycles. Gorgeous machines, bands, and countless spectacles set the scene here. Nights are one big party. We’ll be
spending the nights in Sturgis, taking our bikes on day trips to beautiful places like Mount Rushmore, Custer State Park, and Badlands National Park.

CHOOSE YOUR
BIKE
Choose your own model
To each his own. This is certainly true when it comes to riders and their bikes. That’s why
Crossroads Motortours ofers you several categories and bike models to choose from, such as
the relatively light H-D Sportster 883 (category A), the butch H-D Fat Boy (category B), or the
elegant H-D Electra Glide (category C). The choice you make here helps to determine your total
travel fee. Note! Not all models are available on all tours. On our website you can see which
bikes can be booked for your tour. Other makes and models can be booked upon request.
