1. AC unit is the ducted air conditioner which is connected to AirTouch 2 via main module or extension
module
2. A zone is the area where air supply is controlled by one motorized damper
3. A group is a few zones grouped together which have the group name and are controlled (turning on and
off,oradjustingopeningpercentage)atthesametime.Agroupwillhaveatleastonezoneandnomore
than four zones.
4. Turbo functionwillgivetheselectedgroupafull-openingwhileallothergroups’(dampers)opening
positions are reduced by 50% of their open percentage value. This will bring a large volume of extra air
into the designated area and cool or heat the area quicker.

Thetouch screen will go to sleep mode after 90 seconds of inactivity.
In sleep mode, the screen is blank. Touching any area of the screen will
activate the system.

Toclean the touch screen, use a dry, soft cloth and very gently wipe the
screen. If necessary, dampen the cloth with distilled water or with an
equal ratio of distilled water to white vinegar.

IfanACunitisconnectedtoAirTouch2withoutagateway,itcanbeturned
on/offonthehomescreenofAirTouch2.TheACnameisgivenintheAC
setupsection.ThepowerbuttonshowstheACstatus.Touchingthebutton
willswitchtheACunitonoroff.
IfACisnotsetup,therewillbenoACnameorpowerbuttononthehome
screen.
IftwoACsareinstalled,the“>”ontherightsideoftheACnamewillbring
upthenextAC.
3.2 AC Unit Full Control
WhentherelevantgatewayisconnectedbetweentheACindoorPCBand
AirTouch2,ACon/off,operationmode,fanspeedandsetpointcanbe
controlledfromtheAirTouch2touchscreen.

ACOn/OffControlisthesameastheOn/OffonlyACcontrol.
ACModeControl:Cool,Heat,Dry,FanandAutomodecanbecontrolledfrom
AirTouch2bytouchingthemodeboxandselectthemoderequired.
SetPointcanbesettodesiredvaluefromAirTouch2screenbytouchingUp
andDownbuttonsabove/belowthesetpointbox.Thelowandhighlimitsfor
thesettingis10and32respectively.
Fanspeed:Itcanhaveuptofivechoices:Quite,Low,Medium,HighandAuto.
ThenumberoffanspeedwilldependontheACmodels.AirTouch2can
automaticallypickupthefanspeednumberanddisplaythemadaptivelywhen
thecorrespondinggatewayisconnected.Touchthefanspeedpulldownbox
willbringupavailablefanspeedsandselectthedesiredonebytouchingit.
NOTE: If ‘AC Error’ is displayed, it means AC has experienced problems.
If the system has full AC control, the error number will be in the message
box and can be used to trace the problem.
3.3 GroupOn/Off/Turbo
a) Onthehomescreen,touchtheOn/Offbuttontochangethegroupstatus
andthedampersofthegroupwillopenorcloseaccordingly.
b) Thegroupstatuscanbesetto‘TURBO’activewhenthegroupisspecified
asaturbogroup(referto5.4)andthegreyturboindicatorwillturnblueto
indicatetheTURBOfunctionisactive.
c) Upto6groupbuttonsareshowninonescreen.Touch>or<tobringup previousornextpage.
IftwoACsinstalledwithtwoductedsystems,thegroupsareACrelated.
IfACunit1’sstatusandcontrolareshownontheleft,thegroupsonthe
rightareallconnectedtoACunit1.Touchthe“>”buttonontherightsideof
theACunitnamewillbringupACunit2’sstatusandcontrolontheleft,and
thegroupsshownontherightareallconnectedtoACunit2.
NOTE: A group can have up to a maximum of 4 zones. Your installer should
have already set up your zones and groups.

3.4 Adjustingairflowforagroup
• Thedamperopeningpercentageforeverygroupcanbeadjustedtocontrol
theamountofairflowateveryoutletbetween10%and100%ofthe
balancedvalue(setupbyInstaller)at10%increments.
• Touch>or<buttonsnexttogroupnamestoincreaseordecreasethe
percentage opening for the corresponding group.

activated.Pressing>and<willnotchangetheopeningpercentage.
4) Automated Control

Automatedon/offcontrolforeachgroupandtheACunitisanimportantfeature
oftheAirTouch2system.Thissystemhasaprogramcapabilitywiththreepossible
programsettings,oneforweekdays(MondaytoFriday),oneforSaturdayandone
forSundayrespectively.
Eachprogramhas4programmableeventsperday:ontime1,offtime1,ontime2
andofftime2.Eachprogrameventcanbeenabled/disabledandtheirtimecanbe
adjustedasdesired.Allfoursetsofprogramaredisabledinthefactorydefault.
NOTE: The Turbo function cannot be programmed. It is activated manually
from the touch screen as needed.

Upto4programsandoneACtimercanbesetupforeachductedsystem.

4.2 Select Program for a Group or AC
Enterthe‘Assignment’screenbytouchingAssignmentonprogramming
screen.Assignmentscreenshowsthelistofthecurrentprogramofeachgroup
andtheACUnitwhichwillbethelastiteminthelistifACissetup.
TouchtheprogramfieldofagrouportheACunittoshowallprogramoptions.
TouchingaprogramoptionwillassigntheprogramtothegrouportheAC
unit.EachgroupandtheACunitcanbeassignedwithoneprogramfrom
program1toprogram4(‘P1’to‘P4’),andthegroupwillnothaveaprogramif
‘No’isselected.IfaprogramhasbeenassignedtoagrouporACunit,the
programindicatorwillappearnexttothegrouporACbuttonifanyofthefour
eventsintheprogramisenabled.
NOTE: Programs cannot be assigned to a group with turbo status.

will not repeat. If you want the action repeated at the same time, you may
look at programs.

5.1 WiFi Setup
TheinstructionsinthissectiondemonstratehowtoconnectAirTouch2toa homerouter,whichwillenablethecontrol/operationofACunitandzoning
vialocalWiFiandinternet.WhenselectingapositionfortheAirTouch2main
moduletobeinstalled,pleasemakesureitiswithintheeffectivecoverrangeof
thehomeWiFirouterwhichtheAirTouch2willbeconnectedto.Thiswillensure
reasonableWiFisignalstrengthandprovideareliableconnectionbetween
AirTouch2andthehomerouteraftertheyareconnectedandthemainmodule
isinstalled.Itishighlyrecommendedtoundertakethissetupbyplacingthe
AirTouch2mainmoduleascloseaspracticaltotherouter,ideallyabout1.5to
2meters,beforeinstallingthemainmodule.
a) Touch‘User’andthen‘WiFi’toenterthe‘WiFiSetup’screen.IfAirTouch2is
currentlyconnectedtoaWiFinetwork,itsSSIDnamewillbeticked.
b) IfthewirelessnetworkSSIDisknown,touchSSIDfieldtodisplay
thekeyboardonscreenandtheninputfirstfewcharactersoftheSSID.
TouchEntertoconfirmtheSSIDinput.
c) TouchScantostartscanningforavailableWiFinetworks/routers.OrTouch

NOTE: The system will scan and display two WiFi network SSIDs each
time,soitwillbemoreefficientifthecorrectSSIDisinputbeforescanning.
The connection can be carried out by scanning or manual input.

Touch‘TurboGroup’tospecifyagroupasaTurboGroup.Turbofunctionwill
givetheselectedgroupafull-openingwhileallothergroups’(dampers)
openingpositionsarereducedby50%oftheiropenpercentagevalue.Thiswill
bringalargevolumeofextraairintothedesignatedareaandcoolorheatthe
areaquicker.Typicallythismaybeafamilyroom,diningroomorhometheatre
(orincommercialapplicationameeting,lunchorboardroom).
Touchthe‘TurboGroup’fieldtodisplaythelistofavailablegroupname.
Choosethedesiredgroupnameastheturbogroup.Theturboindicatorwill
appearbetweenthegroupnameanditsOn/Offbutton.
Iftwoductedsystemsinstalled,twoTurbogroupscanbeset,oneforeach
system.
NOTE:Tomakethespecifiedgroupstarttoworkinturbomode,thegroup
status need to be turn to ‘turbo’ on the home screen (3.2).

Roomtemperaturecanbedisplayedonthetouchscreenornotbytickingor
untickingtheitem.
IfagatewayisconnectedtoAirTouch2,thetemperaturedisplayedonthetouch
screenisfromtheACunit.Inothercases,thetemperaturewillbealways
measured at the touch screen.

screenistouched.Itisdisabledasdefaultandwilldisplayamutelogo

phoneandsearchforAirTouch2applicationdevelopedbyPolyaire.After
downloadingtheapplication,openthefileandfollowthepromptstoinstallthe
applicationonyourphone.TheAirTouch2AppsupportsAndroid3.0.andnewer
For iPhones:GototheAppstoreandsearchforAirTouch2application
developedbyPolyaire.TapontheAirTouch2AppandpressInstall.Enter
