5:30 PM INVESTORS' EDGE SEMINAR (LIMITED CAPACITY)
7 PM SHARK TANK PITCHES (OPEN TO THE PUBLIC!)
Have you ever considered investing in a start-up? Are you curious
what new business ideas are forming in the Madison area? If so,
we hope you will join us the evening of Thursday, October 15, at
the Madison Club for two special events in one: “Investors’ Edge”
Seminar and the Club’s third Shark Tank-style company pitch event.
THANK YOU FOR ATTENDING
OLD WORLD WISCONSIN
On September 3 we traveled to Old
World Wisconsin. Thank you to everyone
who attended, and to Ellsworth Brown
and Laura Ingersoll of the Wisconsin
Historical Society, Club members Karl
Gutknecht and Susan Hunt, OWW Site
Director Dan Freas, and famed author

INVESTORS' EDGE
5:30 - 6:30 PM
Aimed at prospective angel investors as well as current investors
who want to know more, Investors’ Edge is a recurring program
of the Wisconsin Technology Council and its Wisconsin Angel
Network. It gives investors an overview of early stage investing in
Wisconsin and nationally, defines “accredited investor” and other rules and best practices, and describes
Wisconsin’s early stage tax credit program. Pre-registration is required for this portion of the evening,
and is free to attendees. This event will fill up quickly and has a limited capacity for 25 people. It will be
immediately followed by presentations by three early stage companies from the Dane County area. The
Investors' Edge Seminar check-in and networking begins at 5:30 PM, with the seminar starting at 6 PM.
The Shark Tank-style event begins at 7 PM. RSVP to the Madison Club: 608-255-4861.
INNOVATION EVENT: SHARK TANK
7 PM
The Madison Club is excited to host our third Shark Tank event! The Club's Shark Tank event has
been wildly successful. This entrepreneurial initiative offers Madison's promising start-up companies
the perfect stage on which to present to the area's leading business community, investors, and local
professionals. Our event will feature three individuals who will pitch start-up businesses to our
"sharks." Listen in as investors ask tough questions to evaluate each business opportunity, giving you
insight on the criteria used when considering a new venture. This is a state designated sanctioned event
and an exciting and engaging event for those interested in investment opportunities or who want to
support entrepreneurial ventures and learn more about up and coming entrepreneurs. This event is
free to attend and open to the public. We do ask that you RSVP if you wish to attend: 608-255-4861, or
online.

For more than 20 years, the

student writers come from all
socio-economic backgrounds,
represent a multitude of races,

child in the program makes
significant academic progress.
This year, 100% of high school
