Suspension. This exclusive “lift spring” movement reduces the heavy pounding and structural
fatigue that results when encountering rocks and other immovable obstacles … allowing the
cutterhead to swing up and out of the way, then quickly back down to its original setting.

Wide skid shoes
increase the protection of the cutter
bar to defend against damaging rocks,

to optimize blade changing access.

Note (left) position of lift springs and “lifting
action” of Vermeer MC1030 DISCPRO® as it
pulls the header over an obstacle. This unique
suspension design reduces structural fatigue caused by
rocks and immovable obstacles.
On the other hand, older competitive designs (right) “feel
the full impact” because of an older “push-type” design
that tends to drive the cutterbar into obstacles, creating
undue stress on the machine.

Exclusive “paddle” design gives you unmatched versatility as a conditioner … and
your initial investment and replacement costs are LESS! Special Austemper heattreated paddles combine with a height-adjustable and reversible conditioning
bar to give you an infinite range of conditioner settings. EASY TO MAINTAIN … the
paddles are interchangeable across the entire machine. The conditioner bar can be
reversed in minutes; just 8 bolts to switch from one mode
to another for gentle or more aggressive crop conditioning.
Adjust the inside conditioning bars down for aggressive
conditioning in grass crops and up for gentle conditioning of
legume crops.
Special directional fins (left) mounted on the swathboard create positive crop flow for a more consistent,
uniform windrow in all kinds of crops and conditions …
