“When I first started The Nantwich Jazz Festival I could
never have imagined that it would be so successful,
but here we are announcing the 20th event for Easter
2016 !” Said Phillip Martin, Festival Organiser.
Planning is now a year round exercise and The Festival
are pleased to be bringing new acts to Nantwich as
well as some old favourites.
Big Country, the iconic Scottish band with a stirring
repertoire of high impact open at The Civic on Thursday
24th March, followed on Friday with a fantastic triple
bill comprising The Revolutionaires with their 50’s
Rhythm & Blues, the amazing Aynsley Lister whose
guitar playing has been described by MOJO magazine
as “a fire hazard” and young yet magnificently
accomplished Blues Rockers Red Butler.
In the Crown Hotel on Friday evening The Festival
welcomes Kyla Brox a fabulous Blues & Soul singer
who will be accompanied by her band. Kyla makes
another appearance at St Mary’s Church on Easter
Monday where she presents a fantastic Gospel show.
On Saturday we welcome back FM featuring local
guitarist Jim Kirkpatrick. The gig was a sell out in 2015
and they are back by overwhelming demand. Book
early for that show!

Fantastic Triple Bill
The
Revolutionaires
Aynsley
Lister Band
Red
Butler
Established within the ‘hotbed’ of
the North East music scene in the UK,
they power out jumpin’ hot rhythm
& blues in their own indomitable
hard hitting style. f you ‘get yourself
down’ to a Revs gig, in the words of
the Ronnie Molleen tune . “We’ll be
rockin’ up a storm tonight!”
When explosive natural ability
collides with fiery, emotionally
charged compositions, the result
is Aynsley Lister; an incredible
guitarist whose brand of bluesbased rock delivers contemporary
song writing fueled with the kind of
heart and soul that’s missing from
so much modern music.
Drawing upon influences from SRV,
Etta James, Joe Bonamassa, Gary
Moore, Free, King King, Santana
and Derek Trucks the band have
developed their own style of
writing and have begun producing
thoughtful, light hearted and
melodic compositions.
