1st Annual Fundraiser Saturday March 9 34 Wing Farm Parkway Bath 9:30 a.m.—2:30 p.m. Free Events, Food, & Fundraising Competitions Competition Schedule 9:30 a.m. 10:00 a.m. 10:30 a.m. Competition Registration Snow Shoe Competition Sledding Derby Competition Exciting FREE Events for everyone…. Sledding, Snow Painting, Ice Skating, Cross County Skiing, & Dog Sleds! Equipment for all sporting events available on site and rented for a “nominal fee.” Food & Drinks Fundraising Competitions! Individual & team competitions to raise money to keep kids safe! Cardboard Sled Derby! Organize a team, build a sled from cardboard, & compete for prizes. Snowshoe Race! Slap on your snowshoes & compete for prizes. Some Adult & Child snowshoes available on site. Top O’ the Hill Award – Most attractive or spectacular looking Sled. Spirit Award – Most spirited and/or best organized team. (Looks don’t matter here) Go Fast – Class I for ages 12 and under. Go Fast – Class II for ages 13 and up. Going for the Gold! — Family or Group Team that raises the most money. Saturday March 9 34 Wing Farm Parkway Bath Competition Schedule 9:30 a.m. Competition Registration Opens 10:30 a.m. Sledding Derby Competition Sled Construction… Only Cardboard may be used as the sled base. Tape and glue may be used to hold your sled together. Sled must be free of sharp edges, pointy objects, or any feature that may be deemed dangerous by the inspectors. You may not use: • • • Corrugated plastics or other corrugated materials; cardboard that is bonded to other materials; epoxy reinforced cardboard; or any other cardboards that raise concern. If there is any doubt, don’t use it. Tar-based substances; epoxy glue; fiberglass resin; two-part varnishes or any other two-part substances; or glues that harden into solids that me be deemed dangerous or may potentially leave hazardous debris on the hill. Screws of any sort or material; mechanical fasteners; nails; staples; or any other means of holding your sled together that may be deemed dangerous or may potentially leave hazardous debris on the hill. Race Participation... • • • • • • The pilot must have read and understand the rules and register the sled. All riders must have read and understand the rules If you do not pass inspection, you may not be allowed to participate or may not be allowed on the hill at all. No more than 6 occupants will be permitted on any one sled. To qualify as a finisher, you must be in or on your sled rather than chasing it or being chased by it as you cross the finish line. If you have a fast time, you may race more than once.
