2015 GRADUATES TOP PROSPECTS LIST
1. JOE FLYNN- Ward Melville, P/3B: Outstanding 2-way player. Middle of the order power with good
discipline at the plate. + bat speed. RH pitcher. FB is in the low to mid 80’s. Locates well. Plays with passion and is
extremely coachable.
2. NICK FANTI- Hauppauge, LHP/OF: Very good athlete. Has a mid 80’s with late life; especially up
in the zone. Developing a + CB. Controls game with his FB. Good LH hitter with excellent speed. Huge upside.
3. JON FARACI- HHH West, RHP: Dominating RH pitcher with a 6’6 frame. Classic power arm that is highly
projectable. Potential power breaking ball. Very good chance at being a draft pick out of HS in 2015. Early commit to
St. Johns University.
4. AARON GLICKSTEIN- HHH West, RHP: Advanced feel for pitching. Poised with excellent command of
all pitches. His FB is consistently in the mid to upper 80’s has touched 90. Will be an outstanding college pitcher.
5. RICH CIUFO- Patchogue-Medford, SS/2B: Slick fielding SS. Has excellent hands. Moves through
ball well. Above average arm. Developing a good approach offensively. Plays the game with an extremely high energy
level. Committed to Stony Brook.
6. MITCH CALANDRA- Floral Park, C: Good leadership qualities. Moves well behind the plate. Solid
fundamentals. + throwing arm. Solid line drive hitter who can run well.
7. VITO FRISCIA- Valley Stream Central, C: Very athletic behind the plate. Learning the position fast.
Excellent arm strength. Very good offensive player. Short swing. Ball jumps off bat. Legit power threat. Committed to
Hofstra University.
8. ANTHONY PAPA- Division, P/OF: Dominant RH power arm. FB is mid to upper 80’s with devastating
knuckle drop. Generates a lot of swings and misses. Middle of the order hitter with homerun capabilities.
9. ANDREW MUNDY- St. John the Baptist, RHP: FB has good velocity and movement. Competitive
Kid. Challenges hitters. Throws 3 pitches for strikes. FB in 85-88 mph range.
10. BRANDON BONOMO- Half Hollow Hills East, RHP: 6’3” prototype pitchers frame. Good
downhill. FB in the high 80’s. Stays down in zone with good arm side run. Very good CH. Developing a mound
presence. Committed to Marist.
11. TIM KRANZ- West Babylon, SS/P: Hard nose, competitive demeanor. Has good range with + arm
strength. Line drive hitter with gap power. Mid 80’s FB with power breaking pitch. Committed to Stony Brook.
12. JIMMY MENDYK- Plainedge, SS/P: All around good athlete. Does everything well. Excellent hands
with a very good arm. Moves well. Good instincts. Makes consistently hard contact. Stays back on breaking ball well.
13. LUCAS HALL- Seaford, LHP: All league as freshman and sophomore. LHP with plus movement. Hard to
square up. Good presence on mound. Velocity is in the mid 80’s and occasionally gets it into the uppers 80’s.
14. JOE PISCITELLI- Division, OF: Great top of order hitter with power. Consistently makes hard contact.
Plus bat speed. Runs well and is a solid defensive player. Very tough out.
15. ANTHONY CHIODI- Chaminade, OF: Big, strong young player. Has major power potential. As he
matures he should develop opposite field power as well. High end offensive projectability.
16. BRIAN KAVANAUGH- East Meadow, P/INF: Smart, mature RHP. Spots 3 pitches well. Keeps
everything down in the zone. Low to mid 80’s FB. Versatile defender. Can play all INF positions well. He is a
contributor offensively. Good knowledge of the game.
17.. ANDREW MISIASZEK- Southside, LHP: Athletic LHP with low to mid 80’s FB. Works both sides of
the plate well. Developing 12 to 6 CB. Has good upside.
18. DAN MCEVOY- Westhampton, 2B/OF: Can flat out run. 6.6-6.7/60 yard run. Very aggressive. Solid
offensive player with good bat speed. Has power. Excellent top of order guy. Committed to Stony Brook.
19: DAVE BREHM- Connetquot, OF: Outstanding all around player. Middle of the order hitter with a good
approach. Squares ball up consistently. Quality defensive player with above average arm and speed.
20: BEAU O’CONNELL- Chaminade, 3B/1B: Gap to Gap hitter with plus power. Has really improved his
athleticism over the past year. Good arm strength.
21. ANTHONY LAZAR- William Floyd, 2B/SS/P: Very good hitter. Put up big numbers on varsity as a
Freshman and Sophomore. Plus bat speed. Competitive on mound. Challenges hitters. Solid defensively.
22. SAL FRADELLA- Chaminade, RHP: Prototype RHP. Smooth delivery, throws downhill. FB in mid 80’s.
Sharp breaking pitch has good command.
23. JOE LOMANACO- Chaminade, OF: Can flat out hit. Good bat speed. Has the ability to turn on a good
FB. Has a solid approach. Runs well.
24. MATT CODISPOTI- Patchogue-Medford, OF/C: Good athlete. Versatile. Has good arm strength.
Ability to take the ball the opposite way with some power. Excellent hitter! Has bright future.
25. KEVIN O’CONNOR- Harborfields, SS: Solid. Fundamentally sound player. Makes all the plays a SS
needs to make. Above average arm strength. Runs well and puts the ball in play with authority.
26. MIKE DEMAREST- East Islip, P/3B: Smart cerebral pitcher. Throws strikes with all his pitches. Great
poise and feel. Sneaky fastball in the mid 80’s. Will contribute as a hitter. Competitor.
27. OWEN MCMENAMY- HHH West, OF/P: Possesses excellent all around tools. Runs very well, has power
and a plus arm from OF. Very projectable player. Has arm strength on mound and developing command.
28. ANDREW GARCIA- Patchogue-Medford, 1B/P: Middle of the order hitter. Has good bat speed.
Solid approach. Strong! Very solid on mound. Mixes his pitches well. Good arm side run.
29. TYLER DELUCIA- HHH West, 2B/P: Has the ability to do everything well. Runs a sub 7.0 60.
Offensively he has very good hands. Uses all fields well. Has good arm strength. Can play multiple positions in the
field. Solid pitcher as well. Most likely projects as a second baseman in college
30. JIMMY GENTILE- St. Anthony’s, OF: Runs extremely well. Very fast home to 1B. Almost automatic
on stolen base attempts. Makes good solid contact. Tracks down everything in CF.
31. JOEY MARZOUK- HHH East, SS/P: Really developing all 3 pitches. Breaking ball is becoming a true
out pitch. FB is mid 80’s occasionally touching higher. Committed to Stony Brook.
32. JAMES VARELA- Division, OF/P: Power RHP with FB in mid 80’s. Comes right at hitters. Gets a lot of
strikeouts. Excellent defensive centerfielder with very good arm. Runs well.
33. MATT BARTNIK- Sachem East, LHP/1B: Has solid tools. FB in low 80’s to mid 80’s from left side.
Good movement. Command is developing. Solid RH hitter with plus bat speed. Best baseball is ahead of him.
34. PAT LAGRAVINESE- St. John the Baptist, SS/P: Tough competitive player. Will hit near top of
order. Runs well. Makes good contact. Sound defensively. Plays premium positions.
35. REISS KNEHR- St. Dominic’s, SS/P: Outstanding athletic ability. LH Hitter who can run. Pulls with
power. Plus arm strength. Low ¾ delivery on mound. Low to mid 80’s FB.
36. TOM ARCHER- St. John the Baptist, 2B: Can flat out play defense. Outstanding hands and feet. Great
first step. Solid arm and a difference maker in the field. Getting stronger offensively. Good approach and patience.
37. MATT GLUBIAK- Commack, INF/P: Very cerebral efficient player. Can beat you in a lot of different
ways. LH hitter who uses all fields. Clutch hitter. Good base runner. Very solid defensive player who makes all the
plays. Consistent.
38. MIKE AMANDOLA- North Babylon, C: Uses all fields as a hitter. Rarely overmatched. Hit over .300
as a Freshman and Sophomore on varsity. Has good arm strength. Developing as a receiver.
39. CHRISTIAN STEIGERWALD- Sachem East, 2B/SS: Good knowledge of game. Very good hitter.
Short compact swing. Has good pop. Solid, clean defensively. Good hands.
40. CAMERON HAYES- Holy Trinity, OF: Very good leadoff hitter with power. Aggressive base runner
with outstanding speed. Tracks balls very well in centerfield.
41. MIKE MANNIX- John Glenn, 3B/P: Power bat. Plus arm. Good velocity on mound. FB has life. Breaking
ball is developing. Has ability to drive ball at plate. Middle of order hitter.
42. DAN COLASANTO- Comsewogue, RHP: Tough, competitive RHP. Pitches with emotion. FB is low
to mid 80’s with sweeping CB. Throws strikes.
43. ZACH CARMODY- Babylon, P/INF: Plays the game at a fast pace. Arm in electric. Velocity in low to
mid 80’s now. Good chance his velocity jumps quickly. Moves well defensively. + arm. Runs well.
44. RYAN INGAROZZA- Smithtown East, RHP: Very good athlete, big upside. Classic pitchers body.
Upper 80’s FB with developing command.
45. BRANDON MORSE- Connetquot, 1b: Can really hit. Has power to all fields. Raw skill set. Runs well
for his size. Projectable.
46. J.J. LINDGREN- Newfield, OF: Raw, athletic prospect. Ball jumps off bat. Aggressive approach with real
bat speed. Above average arm and speed.
47. ESTEBAN RIVERA- Bay Shore, C: Big athlete with a great frame. Has plus arm strength and is accurate.
Handles pitchers well. Developing power at the plate. Smart on the field as well as in the classroom.
48. RYAN DALTON- St. John the Baptist, C: Solid all around catcher. Good positioning and hands.
Above average arm strength. Line drive, gap to gap hitter. Barrels the ball up consistently.
49. ANTHONY RAUCCI- Island Trees, SS/2B: Greatly improved in off season. Bigger and stronger. Good
actions at SS. Plays with confidence. Good arm strength. Surprising power at times. Makes consistent contact, tough
out.
50. ZACH GENAWAY- Patchogue-Medford, C: Big, strong catching prospect. Huge upside at a premium
position. Has very good arm strength. Accurate! His swing should dictate future power. Very good prospect.
51. RICHIE VILLA- HHH East, C: Big, strong prospect. Solid arm strength. Improving at handling pitchers.
Blocks well. Has power at the plate especially to pull side.
52. BRANDON KUSTEK- MacArthur, OF: Outstanding athlete. 5 tool capabilities. Has + arm and is fast.
Tracks balls well. Good bat speed. Good upside.
53. RYAN SMITH- Garden City, LHP/OF: LHP who throws strikes. Calm demeanor. Works both sides of
plate. CB has good depth. Solid outfielder.
54. TIM CURTIS- Manhasset, SS/P: Solid all around prospect. Plays the game fast. Has good range and a
plus arm. Good bat speed at the plate. Run well. FB is low to mid 80’s.
55. Gehrig Montoro- Wantagh, OF: Top of the order hitter. Uses all fields. Consistently puts the ball in play.
Tough out. Runs well and is a very aggressive base runner. Solid defensive outfielder.
