(welcome) Welcome to Tulalip It may be the awe-inspiring 25-foot house posts —hand-carved from a 1,000-year-old red cedar—that greet you upon arrival. Or seeing world-class entertainment under the stars. Perhaps it will be guest rooms so spacious they defy expectation. Or having brand name designer outlets a short stroll away. It could be the spa serenity or casino excitement, 24-hour fitness center or indoor Oasis pool. Or maybe it will be the award-winning dining, bridal amenities, meeting facilities or any one of hundreds of other incredible experiences. But make no mistake. Tulalip Resort will cause one word to reside on your lips countless times during your stay: Wow! Tulalip Hospitality Our approach to hospitality can be summed up by a simple gesture: We raise our hands to you. It’s the traditional Tulalip greeting, a warm expression of welcome and friendship, harmony and hospitality. It’s a greeting that says you are our guest, you are under our roof, you are part of our family. And we will do everything possible to ensure your stay with us is as comfortable and as enjoyable as possible. Welcome! The Meaning of Tulalip In 1855, with the signing of the Point Elliott Treaty, the Snohomish, Snoqualmie, Skykomish and other Pacific Northwest allied tribes settled what is now the Tulalip Reservation. In the Lushootseed Salish language, the word for Tulalip is dxwlilap, which means “small-mouthed bay,” a description of the body of water on the western boundary of our home. Tulalip Comfort Part of Tulalip hospitality is making you feel right at home. Perhaps we’ve done our job too well. After all, our guests never want to leave. And no wonder. Our 370 rooms are luxuriously spacious, a perfect balance of contemporary style and traditional Northwest Coast Salish artwork and textures. With king-sized beds and 47-inch flat screen HDTVs, bathrooms with Italian tile and granite counter tops, it’s easy to get lost in all this comfort. Still, we encourage guests to explore the rest of the resort! Tulalip Luxury From the first moment a guest experiences one of our spacious suites, one thought immediately comes to mind: This is where luxury comes to stay. Our 18 Orca Suites balance elegance with art, style with comfort. From a baby grand piano to a full-size pool table to a 65-inch flat screen HDTV, our five Specialty Suites combine luxurious surroundings with contemporary amenities to provide truly unique and unforgettable experiences. A P a tt e r n o f D i s c ov e ry From the Oasis pool and waterfalls to cabaret entertainment, our guests find there’s something new to discover around every corner. Even hallway carpets tell a story. Overall, the pattern pays homage to the tribe’s traditional cedar basket designs. The large black,V-shaped pattern represents mountains; the small, black diamonds represent lakes, and the large black and red rectangles and triangles represent bear tracks. Tulalip Serenity T Spa Tulalip tribes hold a profound reverence for nature, a respect for the balance among mind, body, heart and spirit. This sense of harmony now lives in T Spa, where relaxation and renewal reside. Guests are greeted with soothing sounds and pleasing aromas. Sixteen treatment rooms await you with such services as stress-relieving deep tissue massage, relaxing manicures and pedicures, and native-inspired rituals and therapies. Enjoy eucalyptus steam rooms, cedar saunas and grotto showers. River rocks, wide bamboo floors, serene candles and natural foliage all contribute to a feeling of “ahhhh.” A Source of Balance and Elegance From the wide plank flooring in T Spa to an entryway and garden of moss and rock in the Grand Asian Suite to beautiful gilt frames in the Pan Asian Suite, bamboo plays an elegant role at Tulalip Resort. Even our linens are made of 100% bamboo, offering a feeling of comfort, as well as luxury, to our guests for a peaceful night’s sleep.
