Sanctuary Candle burns the week of April 17-23, 2016 †Magdalena Santoyo Eternal rest grant unto her O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her May she rest in peace. Offered by, Santoyo Family A Note from Fr. Manny Dear St. Francis Family, We celebrate this weekend the “Good Shepherd Sunday” and in line with this the “World day of Vocations.” By virtue of our baptism, each and every one of us became God’s children thus we bring the name “Christians” or followers of Christ. Being Christians all of us are called to participate and respond to the call of Christ to serve His kingdom in this world, His Church. His mission to save and search the lost did not end on the cross. He initiated choosing the 12 disciples to learn from Him and finally sent them as “apostles” to continue His mission of shepherding His people. Nobody is indispensable to serve the Lord. The first disciples were imperfect people who humbly allowed the Lord to use their imperfections to understand and serve the many who are struggling to be perfect. There are no perfect, nuns, priests, or even popes. Everyone needs God’s mercy. Despite your sins and weaknesses, God is calling all of us to a special vocation within the Church or the parish. The Good Shepherd is calling us to be His messengers of mercy through various ways where we can make a difference in the life of others especially the last sheep of His flock. Like St. Francis may we become God’s instruments of His mercy. Fr. Manny. P. Manny.
