Instructions for wind-kite chart
The charts in the next pages are an attempt to give riders guidance about choosing the right kite size for a given wind strength. Please note that this guidance is based on a number
of assumptions (see assumptions on the bottom of the page).
Each page gives the guidance for a given rider weight. So there is a page for a rider of 50 kg, 55 kg, 65 kg, 70 kg, 75 kg and so on, up to 100kg. If you fall outside this weight
range, please contact us (see contact details on www.kitesurfNOW.eu) and we’ll be happy to help.
You’ll notice that guidance is given for 4 types of kites:

Bow kites with high aspect ratio (examples are Cabrinha Crossbow, Ozone Edge, Ozone Zephyr)

Bow kites with medium aspect ratio (examples are Cabrinha Switchblade, Ozone Catalyst)

Hybrid kites (examples are Cabrinha Nomad, Slingshot RPM)

C kites (examples are Ozone C4, Slingshot Fuel)

Assumptions

Wind speeds are average wind speeds

Using a twin-tip board.

No significant current in the same or opposite direction of the wind
direction
Limitations

Not every kite model in the same class is the same. For instance, the
wind range for a heavier (cloth) kite will be at higher wind speeds.

Some kites may have a larger wind range. For instance, the wind
range for kites with a very efficient depower systems may be extended into higher wind speeds.
