Board of Directors Third Annual Meeting 3rd November 2015 Parktown Hotel Saskatoon * Ming-ko Woo (Chair) * Jim Bruce (EC and WMO) * Ken Greenway (Alberta ESRD) * Allan Howard (AAFC) * David Livingstone (Laurier-GNWT) * Andre Methot (EC) * Howard Wheater (CCRN PI) Marjorie Shepherd (EC) Dave Bowen (NSERC) Richard Harding (IAP) Eric Kasischke (IAP) * Chris DeBeer (CCRN Manager) Regrets: * Wayne Dybvig (Saskatchewan WSA) * Donna Kirkwood (NRCAN) * Board member or alternate • All themes are delivering important results • Investigators and plans are in place to complete the proposed research successfully • The modelling strategy is now well articulated • Four reviewers; generally favourable • Items that require consideration are being attended to Good work, and respond positively to comments • Pleased with the high research productivity • Synthesis effort should commence now; should consider how the lessons learnt from single sites can be applied to greater parts of the network • Workshops (e.g. fire) are useful in pulling together the research from different disciplines • Finance is well managed • Budget is approved • Theme E is to produce a coherent plan for submission to the Board within six months (by the end of April 2016) • The plan should Set priorities for outreach effort Identify key elements Target potential audiences (end users, organizations etc) Specify practical and effective means to deliver • The Network has been very active in training HQP • We need to complete a questionnaire on Network Data. All co-investigators are to fill in the form and send it back PROMPTLY to Chris DeBeer, the Network Manager THE INFORMATION IS OF VITAL IMPORTANCE AS NSERC REQUIRES THE MATERIAL THIS HAS IMPLICATIONS ON FUTURE FUNDS AVAILABLE The form will be sent out later this month.
