European plants which are certified ISO 14001 (environmental management
standard) and ISO/TS 16949 (quality management standard) and meet the
requirements of the REACH regulations on chemicals and their safe use.
All sizes in the Taurus range comply with European standards and directives

WHY REGROOVE?
Regrooving increases the depth of the tyre tread and
sharpens tread block edges, thereby improving wet grip
and prolonging the life of the tyre. European regulation
stipulates that all new tyres designed to be regrooved
must feature the “regroovable” marking on both sidewalls.
Only use R-type rounded blades.
Comply with the blade reference (R3, R4, etc.) indicated
for each tread pattern.

TOOLS
Tyres should be regrooved when between 3 and 4 mm of
tread remains.
Taurus tyres should only be regrooved following the regrooving instructions indicated in the table opposite.

Regrooving that is too deep can:
• Expose the reinforcing structure of the tyre, rendering it non compliant with local legislation.
• Damage the tyre structure and result in degradation of
the tyre.
• Compromise retreading.
• Cause oxidation of the casing leading to failure whilst
in service.
