The address for the venue June 7-9 is Brinellvägen 8, for June 10 – Drottning Kristinas Väg 30. The buildings are situated very close to each other. During June 8, 9:00 – 12:30 2 workshops will be offered for the training participants. For the workshop, the team will be divided in two groups. Please, read the information about the workshops attached to this programme. June 8 16:00 – 20:00 KTH offers boat trip in the Stockholm archipelago. We will travel together from KTH to boat. In framework of the trip a traditional Swedish dinner will be offered. As it is still early summer in Stockholm, regardless to the weather conditions June 8, please, bring a jacket with you for the boat trip as the summer evening can get too cold. Below you can find some additional information which might be useful during your stay in Stockholm. Please, be aware that the weather in Stockholm is very unpredictable in the beginning of June, from sunshine and 25 degrees Celsius to rain and even frost sometimes. It is recommended to have an umbrella with you when going out. Page 5 of 7 Transportation: Transfer by taxi from the airport to your hotel, and from your hotel to the airport, is included in your travel expenses. Taxi is terribly expensive. The name of the transportation company is Stockholms lokaltrafik, SL, website www.sl.se The website is in Swedish. If you have questions please contact SL through their customer chat https://sl.se/sv/kundservice/ The SL company provides a subway system, a bus system, commuter trains, some trams and one ferry boat line. You have to buy the electronic card that is called “SL Access-kort”, it is a rechargeable “smartcard”, and costs SEK 20. It is good to prepay for public transportation. You can charge your card for unlimited number of trips during 24 hrs from first trip (SEK 115), unlimited number of trips during three days (SEK 230) or unlimited number of trips during seven days (SEK 300), or just single tickets to the amount of your choice, but at least SEK 100. One single trip within the centre circle of Stockholm costs SEK 25 if you have charged your SL Access-card. You can buy the card and charge is at SL-centers, at the shops called Pressbyrån, and at some other shops. (At the airport Arlanda, you can buy and charge the card at Pressbyrån.) There are numerous Pressbyrånshops around Stockholm, and the business hours are generous. Money: Most Swedes use Mastercard or Visacard or cash. You can change money at Forex, which is a well-known service. (Forex has offices around Stockholm, also at Arlanda airport.) We celebrate our National Day and because of this many shops and services will have limited business hours or be closed. The main celebration is at Skansen, which is our open-air museum. From the city centre you can go to Skansen by bus or tram. The ferry goes from the Old town to the dock which is located at walking distance from the main entrance of Skansen. The admission fee to Skansen is SEK 180. For more info: http://www.skansen.se/en/aktivitet/swedish-national-day His and Her Majesty the king and queen of Sweden will be at the Solidenscenen (Soliden stage) at Skansen between 18:15 and 19:30. At some time the audicence will jointly sing the Swedish national anthem "Du gamla, du fria". It is an open air park. So when it rains it is WET and you need to bring your umbrella! ABBA the museum Please enjoy this museum if you find time. It is a lot of fun. Located on Djurgården. After 333 years on the sea bed the mighty warship was salvaged and the voyage could continue.
