SUPPORTS (Optional)
Depending on the needs of each customer, different supporting accessories are
available:
Fixed bench support
Fixed wall support
Removable support
Bipod
FIXED BENCH SUPPORT (included in 5.1 set)
FIXED WALL SUPPORT (optional)
REMOVABLE SUPPORT (accessory)
This support allows the machine to be set up anywhere there is a fixed, suitable
bench, door or post at home, shooting club etc. since it can be set up both vertically
and horizontally.
BIPOD (accessory)
This is the most versatile support since no fixed element is needed to operate the machine. It is
stable enough to provide support when in shooting bank mode. It also includes a tray to keep tools
and parts during adjustment.
Once the crate is open, all the accessories you need for operation are there. it is not necessary
to mount them all at the same time, it is possible to keep them in storage until needed, and
the machine will be functional without them. A universal adjustment tool for the machine will
be provided.
FRAME
The machine frame is make of high-quality steel and has regularly spaced screw holes
where the different accessories are placed. Each accessory has two screws.
BEARING AND WHEEL
The machine has ball bearing through its axis for a smooth operation. Ball bearing comes
pre-lubricated, but should be lubricated again each year.
1. PRESS MODE
Our press fingers have been designed to take any bow, from classic models to the most radical new bows with pre-tenses limbs. This tool allows not just limb compression to change
strings, but also a complete bow dissassembly. One of the fingers is fixed, while the other is
mobile to adjust to both single or double systems.
Once the fixed finger is set up, the mobile finger must be set up at the knob on the back end.
Both fingers are coated so that they won’t damage the limbs.
Our 17’’ minimum axis distance allows this machine to also be used on most crossbows
2. VERTICAL MODE
This mode lets us adjust any of the bow accessories like sight and arrow rest.
Once the machine is set up in press mode, fix the bow and make a small turn of the wheel to
release just a bit of pressure, just enough so that the fingers will hold the limbs. Once firmly
placed, we will turn the support handle and turn the bow in an upright position. This will
allow a stable platform to hold the bow while all fine adjustments are made.
3. STRING JIG MODE
This mode allows not just string making, but also pre-tensing them so that when placing the
serving string it will stay much better, and will not move afterwards. String can also be pretensed after the serving is placed at the same strength of the bow so that string or peep will
not move after a few shots as it usually happens. A weight measure can be placed between
the string and the press finger to know precisely how much weight are we putting in the
string.
Each finger has a screw to be able to tie the string and start in any of them. They can also be
removed so that serving for the cams can be placed. Strings up to 81’’ can be made without
need for an extender.
SOLO CAM EXTENDER
An extender is supplied so that strings for Solo Cam bows can be made. Up to 117’’ strings
can be made this way.
STRING PRE TENSION
To put more tension on the string before stringing the bow we advise to fix the string to the
base plate of the fingers (using the shackles provided in the 5.1 kit). A bow weight meter
can also be placed to precisely check string tension.
4. CAM SYNCHRO BENCH
In this mode we can check whether cams are actually synchronised since most manufacturers never bring fully synchronised cams. This mode allows is to draw the bow and check
whether both cams lock at the same time to the millimiter. Adjust the bow and machine like
the pictures below, and place the bow in the side of the machine the closest to the wheel
so that you can check cam movement at any time. A bow weight meter can also be placed
between the bow and the carabiner that pulls the string to check the cam pull rate (where it
stacks and where it has the most power range).
* When the chain carabiner is connected to the
loop and the string, keep in mind that the chain
should be set up as short as possible, and the
press must be completely closed.
* Close-up on cam synchro adjustment
5. SHOOTING BENCH
This mode allows us to shoot the bow in a totally stable position, so that we can make the
paper test and adjust any bow accessories. In this mode, the bow must be set up the opposite way than in the synchro mode.
The release will be set up in the chain, keeping in mind that the press should be completely
closed to avoid problems with the draw length. A bipod mount allows pointing the bow both
in height and to the side, to better face the target.
