Paradise Theater Address: 2014 Parkway Drive West Bend With the hustle and bustle of the holiday season, we wanted to stop for a moment to say how thankful we are to have you in our dental family. We realize that our practice thrives because of great patients like you. We are the lucky ones because we not only keep you healthy, but we also have the pleasure of knowing you and your loved ones. In efforts to meet the requests of our patients and the growing community, we have expanded our practice hours on Monday and Tuesday for hygiene appointments to address these needs with more preventative care appointments (cleanings with exams). A snail has about 25,000 teeth on its tongue. Rabbit’s teeth never stop growing. They keep them worn down by gnawing on hay, bark, and other hard foods. Holiday Chicken Salad a Dental Professionals Office favorite Recipe makes 12 servings 4 cups cubed, cooked chicken meat 1 cup mayonnaise 1 teaspoon paprika 1 1/2 cups dried cranberries 1 cup chopped celery 2 green onions, chopped 1/2 cup minced green bell pepper 1 cup chopped pecans 1 teaspoon seasoning salt ground black pepper to taste Directions: In a medium bowl, mix together mayonnaise with paprika and seasoned salt. Blend in dried cranberries, celery, bell pepper, onion, and nuts. Add chopped chicken, and mix well. Season with black pepper to taste. Chill 1 hour Wine Bottles... ‘Tis the season when recycling bins runneth over. Lighten the load with these attractive and useful projects and pointers. 1. Keep Plants Hydrated - Make a slow-drip irrigator by drilling a 1/4 inch hole through a cork and stopper a water-filled bottle. Press the whole thing neck first into well-hydrated soil. 2. Make a Festive Light Display - Feed a 50-light string (get the kind with just one plug) into a hole drilled in a bottle’s side. Use a 3/4-inch tile bit, then enlarge and smooth the hole with a conical grinding stone. 3. Space Open Wall Shelves - To float shelves about a foot apart, use wine bottles as a spacer. Put up one shelf, then place two bottles of the same type near its ends. Rest the next plank atop them and mark its location. Remove the bottles and continue installation. 4. Stop Tall Boots From Toppling - Tuck bottles into the shafts of winter footware so that they’ll stay upright in a closet or mudroom. 2012 Halloween Candy Buy-Back Dental Professionals would like to thank everyone who participated in our first Halloween Candy Buy-Back. On November 1st, we collected trick-or-treat candy that you were willing to donate to benefit our soldiers and cut down on sugar consumption by our youth. We compensated all of the participants $1 for every pound of candy donated (up to $5 per person) as well as a toothbrush. We encouraged all of the children to write a thank-you letter, draw a picture, or tell the soldiers a little something about themselves. We collected dozens of heart-warming thank-you’s and beautiful pictures that will be sure to make a soldier’s day. Karen Mace, a math teacher at St. Matthias in Milwaukee, heard about this event on 620 WTMJ and decided to make it a competition between her 7th and 8th classes to see which class could donate the most. The two classes not only collected over 40 pounds of candy, but donated their toothbrushes and the $40 to food shelters. There were countless others who also donated their money to the cause. We collected over 435 pounds of candy which was then sent to Operation Gratitude. Operation Gratitude will be putting together care packages for our soldiers overseas that will include your generously donated candy. Due to the rousing success of our inaugural buy-back, we will be making this event an annual tradition at Dental Professionals. We would like to give special thanks to our dental supplier, Holt Dental, who generously boxed and paid to ship all of the candy to Operation Gratitude.
