us for their annual get together. A good time
was had by all.
On November 3rd, we had our annual Memorial Mass/breakfast honoring the deceased
members of our council. Our host was J.J.
O’Brian of O’Brian Sullivan Funeral Home.
Our celebrant was Father Elmer from Catholic Central. A big thank you to Brother J.J.
O’Brian, to our wonderful choir, to Father
Elmer, and to Rose’s catering. Although the
turnout was modest, everyone had a wonderful time.
Monday November 11th, was Veteran’s Day.
As in the past, those members who served
in the armed forces had an opportunity for a
FREE drink on the Grand Knight. I personally,
would like to thank you, for your service and
the freedoms you have protected.
November 16th was our adult trivia night.
A small crowd gathered that night to enjoy
themselves. Our own worthy Brother Larry
Kenney, FSS, PGK, DD moderated the event.

Gals
Our November meeting opened the “giving
season” for the Donne-Gals.
We presented a check for $250.00 to
Monaghan K of C for their Christmas basket
program. We also chose a single person
who is in dire straits to receive money for
Christmas. A family of six (two adults and
four children) were adopted as our “Christmas Family”. The father has cancer and is
unable to work, and the mother is struggling
to support the family by cleaning houses.
The Donne-Gals will make this season a little
easier for them.
Your support for the Donne-gals’ raffles and
programs enable us to do these things and
more. Thank you so very much.
Our next meeting is our Christmas party and
will be on Thursday, December 12th at 7:00
PM.
Have a very Merry Christmas!
Respectfully Submitted,
Jean Carrier, Secretary

TITAN BASKETBALL CHRISTMAS TREAT
So what if it is Christmas week? Still have to find something to entertain the kids,
keep them out of you know whose hair while the Christmas shopping gets done.
How about a University of Detroit Titan Basketball game? What are we talking
about you ask? Well, the Titans are playing a Monday afternoon game. Yes, Monday
before Christmas. On Monday December 23 at high NOON, the Titans host the
Indiana Tech Warriors of the Wolverine Hosier Athletic Conference. Tickets Adult
$10, Seniors $6 and kids 13 and under $6. We will be best served by individually
purchasing tickets when the group arrives at Calihan Hall.
Come along with or without the kids. Meet at the Council at 11AM to car pool
and if enough interest can be generated, maybe a bus trip can be put together.
With all the U of D alums around, what a better way to show your school spirit?
Maybe even Tom’s Tavern? And the best part: home by 4pm.
Leave a message for me at the lounge or email me, [email protected] if you are
intrigued by this event.
Dick Gibson, PGK
Around the Council
Looks like Joe and Maureen Kronk have some extra
Christmas shopping to do this season. Daughter
Kate and her husband John doubled their family this
part year with the birth of twin boys Vincent and
Timothy. The Dicenza family calls Chicago home
where Mo can find some great gifts for the little guys
on the famous Magnificent Mile. This brings to 5
the number of Kronk grandchildren.”
Grand Knights Message Continued;
