treatment philosophy. In the long term, however, successful recovery is intrinsically linked with proper nutrition, including appropriate fasting. If deemed it necessary, supplements are employed,
such as minerals, vitamins, and trace elements. Moreover, we likewise blend aspects of traditional Chinese medicine and Ayurveda
with conventional European naturopathy, as required.

Based on the importance of the gut as the foundation for good
health, we offer you a holistic approach to prevention in a natural
way with Detox based on F. X. Mayr Medicine. By detoxifying and
cleansing your gut, you unleash your body’s inherent healing powers.
The individual, correct balance of stimulation and rest phases is
the key to a successful treatment. That is why, besides medical
check-ups and F. X. Mayr abdominal treatment, you receive regular
therapy in the form of massages, wraps, sauna sessions, baths and
active movement training.

Thalassotherapy
Already several thousand years ago Hippocrates used algae and sea water cures to alleviate physical discomfort. Today the healing power of
the sea is specifically used for therapeutic purposes.
The Thalassotherapy, which refers to the Greek words “thalassa” means sea and “therapeia” means treatment, focuses on the regeneration
and revitalization of the body. All elements of the sea such as ocean bed, seawater, sea plants and sea air – are thereby used for the therapy.
Nowadays the Thalassotherapy is defined as a treatment using all regulatory elements of the ocean under medical supervision.

Ailments of the spine, joints, or muscles are not an inevitability.

The OCÉANO offers 91 rooms and suites with a classy interior,
several of them as design category. All rooms have a balcony or
French balcony, direct (or lateral) Teide- and sea-view, a suite and
dining table, a small kitchen with fridge, bath with shower or bath
tub, TV and Wi-Fi.
All our pools are filled with seawater which you can experience in
different temperatures:

CONCERNING YOUR HEALTH
CANCELLATION OF SPA TREATMENTS
Should you have any doubts as to the state of your health and are
uncertain that the treatments you have booked are right for you,
then please make an appointment with one of our doctors. Please
bring a list of all your current medications, current lab results (if
available) and the current results of any medical examinations.
If you use a blood sugar testing advice, blood pressure monitor,
etc. on a regular basis, this should be also brought with you.
If you need to cancel an appointment, please do so at least 24
hours in advance. Otherwise, we are entitled to charge you for
the cancelled appointment.

Nude Deck
FITNESS AREA
You can workout in the fitness area overlooking the Atlantic and if
desired with your Personal Trainer.
On the 11th floor, you can find our Nude Deck, which is
protected from wind and foreign eyes.
RUNNING
Sauna
Directly in front of the hotel runs the promenade, which invites to
running and Nordic Walking in the sea air.
ATTIRE IN THE HEALTH SPA
We recommend that all hotel guests wear the bathrobe provided
in their hotel room. During your treatment, your body will be covered with towels with the exception of the areas being treated.
Along with swimwear for the pools, suitable workout clothes and
sports shoes are required for the fitness area. Our sauna is a
nude-area. Wet bathrobe does not belong into the Finnish and
Bio-Sauna. We are pleased to provide a sauna-wraparound to
protect the intimacy. Swim goggles are recommended for treatments in the pool. Earplugs for the pool are available on site.
REFUND OF TREATMENT COSTS
The OCÉANO Hotel Health Spa invoices guests directly for all
services. If desired, you can obtain a proof of costs for medical
treatments at the end of your stay for submission to your insurance. We must point out, however, that costs for naturopathic
treatments are not normally assumed by health insurance funds,
benefits programmes and many private health insurances.
CONSIDERATION OF OTHERS
The spacious sauna facilities form a unique combination with the
freshness of the Atlantic, which you can reach via a direct access.
Finnish Sauna, 90°: Wood, glass and 90° Celsius – pure sauna
Bio Sauna, 50-60°: Gently perspire at 20% air humidity and
50-60 degrees, with many health benefits.
Steam Bath: Greatly prized not only in ancient Rome thanks to
regenerative properties
Infrared Heat Cabin, 35-40°: Highly effective deep heat with a
pleasant “all-warming” effect at 35-40°
TENNIS
We have our own tennis court covered with quartz sand and
situated under palm trees.
HIKING, MOUNTAIN BIKING, WATER SPORTS
Who likes to ride the mountain bike or hike can explore the
Anaga Mountains, a few routes can be started directly at the hotel.
Water sports enthusiasts find in direct proximity of the hotel possibilities for surfing, SUP, kayaking or snorkelling.
TERMS OF PAYMENT
In order to ensure a relaxing atmosphere in our spa for all guests,
we ask that you generally refrain from using your mobile phone
throughout the entire Health Spa and in the F.X. Mayr Centre.
Naturally the entire area is a non-smoking zone.
The payment for Spa treatments takes place on site. We accept
cash payment as well as payment by EC card, Mastercard and
VISA. If you would like to pre-pay, you can also do so via credit
card or via bank transfer. Our Reservations team can provide you
with our account information.
BEFORE RESERVATION
We are pleased if you let us know your treatment wishes as early
as possible, ideally before your arrival.
